Chapter 46 Zhao Weiying's Revenge

Meng Shuyun shook off the woman's dark hand, expressionlessly pulled the bed curtains shut, keeping that annoying face out.

The woman was enraged: "You really don't know what's good for you! Humph, your family is only destined to produce money-losing children."

After calming the two little ones down, Meng Shuyun told Su Xiulan what was going on and left the ward.

She arrived at the dean's office, still thinking about how Zhao Weiying had tried to harm her daughter.

Now that I have some free time, I must settle the score with her. This matter absolutely cannot be left like this.

...

Zhao Weiying had just left Liu Xiaomeng's ward when she was notified to go to the dean's office, and she had a terrible headache.

Liu Xiaomeng, that reckless woman, gave birth to a baby boy weighing 2.7 pounds, but Old Lady Zhao and Ye Jianguo were nowhere to be found.

I asked around and found out that they had been reported as human traffickers and taken to the police station for investigation.

Liu Xiaomeng's mess fell to her shoulders, and she had to take care of it.

Zhao Weiying frowned. Before she even reached the office, she saw Meng Shuyun standing at the door. Her pupils contracted sharply, and an ominous premonition welled up in her heart.

How did she end up here?

There's been no news for the past two days, and I thought the matter was over and done with.

Just then, the director in the white coat walked over from the other end of the corridor and greeted Meng Shuyun with a smile: "Auntie, I haven't congratulated you yet! Having twins as grandchildren is such a blessing! It's rare to see such a thing!"

Meng Shuyun replied with a smile, "We have to thank Director Mao for this. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't have known that they were twins."

We asked Deputy Director Zhao many times, and she always said it was a single birth.

"Thank you so much, otherwise my grandson would probably be gone by now."

Meng Shuyun's eyes reddened with excitement, and her gaze drifted towards Zhao Weiying, intentionally or unintentionally.

"I knew it! How could a singleton's belly be so big? Turns out it was a quack doctor who didn't care about human life at all! My daughter was clearly in the head-down position and could have been delivered naturally, but he still gave her anesthesia."

"If I hadn't arrived early, I don't know what the consequences would have been."

Zhao Weiying could tell that Meng Shuyun was talking about her, and her face turned pale and then red.

“Auntie, misdiagnosis is common. Twins are rare. Your case is special, you know?”

Meng Shuyun immediately retorted, "As a doctor, how can you say such irresponsible things? You think you can just brush it off with a misdiagnosis? That's blatant disregard for human life!"

The two were arguing when the door to the dean's office opened from the inside, and the vice dean stood in the doorway.

"Come in and talk, ma'am, please come in."

The dean was an elderly man with white hair and a youthful face. He was writing a letter with a fountain pen at the moment, but after a while, he put down his pen.

"Dr. Zhao, since you think misdiagnosis is a normal thing?" the hospital director asked.

Zhao Weiying nervously replied, "That's not what I meant. This is an isolated case, an isolated case!"

She nervously explained, unable to fathom the meaning behind the dean's question.

She had worked at the hospital for many years, but had only had a handful of close conversations with the hospital director. She couldn't fathom his thoughts, so she could only grit her teeth inwardly, her face turning deathly pale.

The dean walked up to Zhao Weiying with an envelope in his hand and said seriously, "Dr. Zhao, with your professional competence, you should know what the most important quality of a doctor is!"

It seems our hospital isn't a good fit for you; you should look for another job!

Zhao Weiying stared wide-eyed in horror, holding the envelope, and pleaded with the hospital director, "Director, I really did misdiagnose you. It's just an isolated case. Misdiagnosis happens in hospitals all the time, doesn't it?"

You wouldn't just condemn me to death with a stick, would you?

I promise I'll be more responsible and attentive in the future, and I guarantee this won't happen again!

Zhao Weiying's punishment was not severe; it was obvious to everyone that she was deliberately targeting Meng Shuyun's family.

The hospital has recently introduced a foreign instrument that can clearly show how many pregnancies there are and the sex of the fetuses with a single scan.

Director Mao held up the documents in his hand and said, "Dr. Zhao, the prenatal examination data doesn't lie. No matter how you try to argue, it's useless."

The vice president looked through the data, his face growing increasingly grim. The data recorded the number of people who had used instruments to determine the sex of their fetuses.

"Dr. Zhao, the hospital's medical equipment is not a tool for you to seek personal gain. Are you going to leave on your own, or should I have someone escort you out?"

Zhao Weiying's eyes reddened, and she took two steps back in disappointment, knowing in her heart that it was all over now!

If she really gets fired, which hospital will want her in the future?

She can forget about ever being a doctor again; her reputation is completely ruined!

"Dean, Vice Dean, please give me another chance. I will never dare to do it again."

However, no matter how much she pleaded, it was to no avail, and she was eventually dragged out by the security guards without any mercy.

The hospital director, carrying a cloth bag, walked up to Meng Shuyun and said with some remorse, "I'm really sorry. This is the hospital's negligence. This is compensation for you. I hope you can understand."

The matter finally came to an end. Meng Shuyun accepted the compensation, thinking that the fright her daughter had suffered was somewhat comforted.

In the hospital corridor, Zhao Weiying, carrying a bundle, was kicked out of the doctor's office, and her name tag was removed.

Everyone was watching her make a fool of herself, their eyes seeming to see right through her, making her feel as if she were standing naked in front of them, utterly ashamed.

As Zhao Weiying passed by a ward, she heard cheerful laughter coming from inside, which she found particularly jarring. Looking up, she saw Old Lady Zhao and Ye Jianguo.

They were holding their grandson, laughing happily, and Zhao Weiying suddenly felt a surge of resentment.

If Ye Jianguo hadn't insisted that she find out the sex of the fetus and instructed her to take Su Xiulan's child, she wouldn't be in this predicament today.
