He Yujie said, "Xueli is right. Now that you're out here, don't go back. Make a name for yourselves in the city and show your families."
He Yulan nodded emphatically.
He Yujie then told him about the nanny job that Director Liu had found for her, saying, "Director Liu asked you to tell him if you'd like to be a nanny."
He Yulan said repeatedly, "Yes, yes, as long as there's work to do, what kind of work can't we rural people do?"
He Yujie looked around and said, "That's true. Being a nanny is easier than farming at home. Besides, without education or skills, you can only be a nanny in the city."

Factory Director Liu smiled and said, "Let's not talk about starting work yet. We need to have an interview first. Only those who pass the interview will be hired."
"Oh, I still have to do an interview," He Yulan said softly.
I immediately felt nervous.
Liu Keyang interjected, "An interview is just about taking a liking to you and asking you some questions to see what you can do. Don't worry, you're pretty and look capable, you'll have no problem with the interview."
He Yulan smiled.
Factory Director Liu said, "How about this, I'll tell my friend, and I'll go for the interview tomorrow morning."
He Yulan nodded: "Okay, okay, thank you, Director Liu."
He Yujie thanked Director Liu: "Director Liu, my sister has been eating and staying with you these past few days, which has really troubled you. Now you've gone to the trouble of helping her find a job. I don't know what to say."
Factory Director Liu chuckled, glanced at Su Xueli, and said, "Miss Su is my nephew's friend, and her younger brother Yunfeng is one of my workers. It's no big deal for his girlfriend to stay at my place for a few days. Helping her find a job is just to help my friend out of his immediate crisis. It's a mutual benefit, nothing at all."

His heart sank again.
A commotion outside signaled that people were leaving get off work.
Liu Keyang said to his uncle, "Second Uncle, let's go out to eat. Give Su Yunfeng half a day off."
Factory Director Liu chuckled, "You've already started ordering your uncle around, so next time you're going to be giving orders to your grandfather, aren't you?"
Liu Keyang chuckled, "My grandfather always listens to me."
Factory Director Liu's face fell: "Your grandfather is such a biased old man. He only knows how to dote on his grandson, as if his two sons were adopted."
Liu Keyang nudged him, "Who told us to be unattractive? Dark-skinned and with a bad temper, it's no wonder my grandpa dislikes us."
"Hey, you little brat, you've got some nerve, talking to your old man like that!" Factory Director Liu yelled.
He tried to grab Liu Keyang by the collar, but Liu Keyang ducked and ran out of the office.
Everyone burst into laughter.
"Hey Su Yunfeng, I've got you a day off. Take a shower, change your clothes, and come eat with us." He ran to the yard and called out to Su Yunfeng, who was coming out of the workshop.
