Wei Mingshen reached out to stop her, "Don't say anything."
"Fine, I won't say."
The two of them worked until late at night, and only washed up and went to bed after the roosters crowed twice.
As usual, Wei Mingshen first got into bed to warm the blankets for her, then held her as they slept. She was still facing away from him, so he hugged her from behind, placing his hand on her lower abdomen.

"Then don't help me if you don't want to. Anyway, if you don't earn enough money, you can forget about getting a divorce."

Su Xueli asked in surprise, "Weren't you in a hurry to fall in love with Lin Meizhi?"
Wei Ming pondered for a moment and then let out a long breath. "No rush."
Su Xueli was confused. "Why aren't you in a hurry anymore? Weren't you in a hurry before?"
Wei Mingshen said, "I don't know either, why am I not in a hurry anymore?"
Su Xueli scoffed, tucked herself in, and said, "Don't wake me, I'm going to sleep."
Wei Mingshen patted her shoulder, "It's settled then. Tomorrow, I'll meet my comrade-in-arms and have a meal at his place."
Su Xueli remained silent, and he fell asleep contentedly.
Early in the morning, the two of them had already gotten ready, changed their clothes, and brought soap, shampoo, and towels. Of course, Su Xueli had prepared two sets.
Before leaving, Su Xueli said to Wei Mingshen, "Don't both go. You should call our parents and we'll go wash together in the mule cart."
Wei Mingshen patted her head lightly, "Are you silly? Our sister is on a blind date today, how could her parents not be home?"
Su Xueli joked to herself, "Look at my pig brain, I forgot about what we agreed on last night after just one night's sleep."
Wei Mingshen suddenly grinned mischievously, bent down and leaned close to her, saying, "Was it too comfortable for me to sleep while I was holding you?"
Su Xueli's face flushed red, and she raised her hand to hit him, but he grabbed her hand.
