"Brother, there's no one inside. It's just where I keep my things. I usually lie down for a while when I'm tired. There's nothing to see." It was He Yulan's nervous voice.
"Don't stop me."
Su Xueli and Su Yunfeng exchanged a glance: He Yujie knows now.
Su Yunfeng didn't say anything, but went over and opened the door.
He Yujie watched as the siblings stood frozen in place, his gaze towards Su Xueli filled with astonishment.
He turned to his sister outside the door, his tone cold: "Go ahead and get busy, the customers are waiting."
He Yulan didn't dare say anything, glanced at Su Yunfeng, and went back into the shop.
He Yujie came in and closed the door again.
"Teacher He," Su Yunfeng greeted him respectfully.
"Hello, Teacher He." Su Xueli greeted him politely.
He Yujie nodded: "Hello."
Then he looked at Su Yunfeng, "I heard you were here, and sure enough, you are."
His expression was as cold as ice, and his eyes were like knives.
Su Xueli clenched her fists nervously, her fingernails digging painfully into her palms.
Su Yunfeng blushed and said sincerely, "Teacher He, Yulan and I are truly in love. My parents don't approve of us and are forcing me to go on blind dates, so I came here to hide. But don't worry, Teacher He, Yulan and I are completely innocent and haven't done anything improper."
You can ask your sister if you don't believe me.
He Yujie hummed in agreement, the ice on his face slowly melting.
"So what are you going to do?" he asked Su Yunfeng.
“I’m fighting with my parents. They don’t agree to me being with Yulan, so I won’t go home until they agree.”
"What if they keep disagreeing?"
Su Yunfeng gritted his teeth, "Then I'll never go home."
He Yujie's expression softened, and he nodded, saying, "As long as you are sincere to my sister, I will not interfere with you, but it is not good for you to live here. Sooner or later, your family will find out."
Besides, there are too many people here, and you'll damage my sister's reputation.
Seeing that they were no longer fighting, Su Xueli breathed a sigh of relief and answered for her cousin, "Teacher He is right. It's not a long-term solution for my brother to stay here. We need to find another place to live."
He Yujie glanced at her and said to Su Yunfeng, "I do have a place to stay nearby. It's my classmate's house. His family moved to the county town, and the yard is empty. I have a key to their house, so you can move in."
Su Yunfeng said, "We'll have to discuss that with Yulan."
A smile appeared in He Yujie's eyes. "Okay, I'll come over tonight."
Su Yunfeng bowed to him and said, "Thank you, Teacher He."
He Yujie said calmly, "I'm doing this all for my sister. My parents don't know you live here, otherwise, you'd be in trouble."
Sweat instantly seeped out from Su Yunfeng's forehead.
