Chapter 38 Is My Son-in-Law Sick or Not? (Part 1)

Upon hearing that her son-in-law was "congenitally infertile" on the medical record, Liu Lanying burst into tears.

"Oh my God, how did this happen to my daughter? I didn't catch anyone's child and threw them into the well..."

Su Xueli didn't pull her away, letting her cry until she was done before speaking.

"Alright, stop crying. You're making your daughter's heart turmoil," Su Guojun shouted angrily.

Liu Lanying immediately felt sorry for her daughter again, stroking her hair and comforting her: "Daughter, I know you're suffering. You had no choice but to think about divorcing him. You're more heartbroken than anyone else..."

Su Xueli said calmly, "Mother, I've thought this through a long time ago. I'm not upset. Divorce is a good thing. Let's not drag it out any longer. The sooner we divorce, the sooner we'll have peace of mind."

"Daughter, don't rush this," Su Guojun said, stopping Su Xueli.

Su Xueli exclaimed, "What? Dad, you still won't let me divorce him? This medical record says he's congenitally infertile. Do you want me to be childless for the rest of my life?"

Su Guojun said seriously, "Xueli, listen to your father. We can't draw conclusions about this after just one examination. Last time, the old Chinese medicine doctor said he was in very good health and had no symptoms, but this examination report says he has such a serious illness. This means that the two doctors have completely different opinions. So, who is right?"

Feeling guilty, Su Xueli exclaimed, "Dad, of course the doctor at the First People's Hospital is right. They used advanced equipment to do the test, and the equipment is always accurate."

Su Guojun asked, "Is the doctor who performed the examination a specialist in men's health?"

Without hesitation, Su Xueli replied, "Yes, it's a urologist."

Su Guojun stared into her eyes and said, "I've never heard of the First People's Hospital in the city having a men's department. I asked around, and they only have one in the provincial capital."

Su Xueli's heart skipped a beat: That's right, there isn't a men's health department in the city hospitals yet.

She quickly changed her tune: "It doesn't seem to be a men's health issue. I didn't pay attention. It was a friend of Ming Shen's who found someone to take him."

Su Guojun said, "Your mother and I have already made arrangements with them to go to the provincial hospital for another check-up."

"Dad, you really know how to make trouble! He's not your biological son!" Su Xueli broke down.

“A son-in-law is like half a son. If he really has an incurable illness, then we’ll talk about the rest, but we need to be sure.”

My father is always a man of his word.

Su Xueli slumped into a chair in despair. What should she do?

Liu Fengying hugged her daughter and comforted her: "Daughter, listen to your father, let's take him to the provincial capital for another check-up. Your father and I think he's so healthy, he wouldn't have this problem... Wait, that's not right, didn't you say he... has no problem? Why does the medical record say he's congenitally infertile?"

"Huh?" Su Guojun was also startled.

Su Xueli was dumbfounded. At the time, she and Wei Mingshen only thought about getting the proof of his infertility in one go, without thinking about anything else.

Su Guojun sat down opposite his daughter, stared at her face, and asked solemnly, "Xueli, tell your father, is your son-in-law sick or not?"

Su Xueli insisted, "He's sick."

"What exactly is the illness?"

"It's...no, it's also infertility..." she slurred.

Su Guojun stared at her with a dark expression. Su Xueli subconsciously moved back and slowly buried her face in her mother's arms.

"Tell me, what exactly happened?" Su Guojun asked sternly.
