The air in the room suddenly cooled down, and Su Xueli woke up from the cold. Her legs were icy cold from the knees down, so she simply draped her coat and trousers over the blanket.
But when it got cold, none of these things kept her warm, and she was still shivering from the cold.
Hearing the sound of someone sleeping soundly beside her, she wanted to move closer but held back, reminding herself to be strong and not to freeze to death if she didn't snuggle into his arms.
But she was so cold that she couldn't stand it anymore, so she thought she might as well get out of bed and take another blanket from the closet to cover herself with, so that she could warm up eventually.
She quietly sat up, and just as she was about to step over him, she was lifted into the air and landed in a warm embrace.
She struggled for a moment and said, "Let go!"
Wei Mingshen mumbled sleepily, "Listen to me, get some sleep, and we'll go to your parents' house after breakfast tomorrow morning."
Then I held her tightly and didn't move anymore.
Su Xueli knew that struggling was useless, so she simply gave in half-heartedly and succumbed to his warm embrace once again.
The next day, the yard was a mess from the wind, and the air was freezing cold again.
Su Xueli opened the door and complained to Cao Maizi, who was tidying up the yard, "Mom, has winter come all over again? Did you eat up spring?"
Cao chuckled and said, "It's not even February yet, this is normal."
Su Xueli said, "It'll be February in a few days, and it's already so cold."
Wei Mingshen said from behind her, "It's cold, but you have someone to warm your bed."
"Get out!" Su Xueli yelled at him.
"Hahaha..." Cao Maizi laughed happily.
This scene was witnessed by Wei Mingyue, who had just woken up as well, and her heart sank to the bottom: it seems that my brother has really fallen for her, and Lin Meizhi has been overshadowed by her in his heart.
Thinking about her future, she felt heartbroken, yet helpless.

Just as the two were about to leave, Zhou Minglan, the eldest sister-in-law, arrived with her child. She said she was there to visit her younger sister who had run away from home last time, but also to inquire about the family's situation, as she was worried about her.
Unlike those wicked mothers-in-law who complain about their daughters-in-law to their daughters, Cao Maizi was reasonable and pointed out her daughter's faults, praising her daughter-in-law for being sensible and generous. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been able to tolerate Mingyue, that troublemaker.
Wei Minglan knew her younger sister's character and her ulterior motives, but she was relieved to see that Su Xueli didn't hold it against her sister and that there were no conflicts within the family.
After exchanging a few words with her mother, Wei Minglan called Su Xueli into the room and whispered, "Xueli, thank goodness you reminded me. I was wary of He Qingchun. When she came to see your brother-in-law again, I said a few words to remind her to be more careful in the future."
It's been quite effective; she doesn't come looking for your brother-in-law anymore.
