Chapter 125 Changes

"Mom, you're the mother-in-law, how can you advise your daughter-in-law to remarry like this?" Tao Ying said somewhat awkwardly.

"Am I your old lady?" Zhou Daya stared at Tao Ying.

Tao Ying felt uneasy under Zhou Daya's gaze.

"I treat you like my own daughter. And you treat me like your old woman?" Zhou Daya joked, not wanting to put Tao Ying in a difficult position.

“Mom, you are my real mom,” Tao Ying said, circling around Zhou Daya.

"This is the first time I've seen such a good relationship between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law," Feng Zhaodi said with a smile as she walked over and teased the two of them.

With outsiders present, Zhou Daya stopped talking to Tao Ying.

The two returned to a warm welcome from the whole family.

Especially Grandpa Wang, who almost cried when he saw Zhou Daya.

"Don't pretend. Once we leave, you'll be the king of the house. Do you really expect me to come back?" Zhou Daya knew Old Master Wang all too well.

We've been together for over fifty years, what are you still acting for?

They act like nobody cares to look at his old face.

“A young couple should be companions in old age, how could you think of me like that?” Old Master Wang looked at Zhou Daya with great sadness.

"Alright, I'm going back to stay for a few days. You're coming back with me." After going out, Zhou Daya disliked Old Master Wang even more.

"Why go back? No one has lived here for two years. It's freezing cold." Old Master Wang was dumbfounded.

I think my wife is just trying to torture me. Why not enjoy the good life instead of going back to suffer?

Zhou Daya was so happy that she forgot the time.

"Mom, we're going to buy a car soon. Once we have it, we'll drive back home." Tao Ying noticed the old lady's embarrassment and quickly offered her a way out.

“Yes, yes, Ying’er is right.” Zhou Daya quickly agreed.

"Chunni, have you been having a bad reaction these past few days? Why has Yang Lin lost so much weight?" Tao Ying asked Wang Chunni with concern.

Yang Lin, standing to the side, was really eye-catching. He had lost more than ten pounds and looked rather pitiful.

"Mom, you have no idea how badly Yang Lin vomited. He couldn't stand the smell of any meat or strange smells. I was a little nauseous at first, but now I'm fine. I guess he scared the child." Wang Chunni said helplessly.

“His colleagues all laugh at him now, saying, ‘Whose wife is pregnant and the man is suffering from morning sickness?’” Wang Chunni looked at Yang Lin with heartache in her eyes.

"So what? They just envy me. They envy my wife's looks, her gentleness, and her family's wealth. Don't think I don't know they secretly say behind my back that I'm the ugliest woman who lives off a man. So what if I live off a man? They're prettier than me and they can't even afford to."

Yang Lin said with considerable pride that he didn't feel ashamed at all; his wife's attraction to him was a testament to his excellence.

I'll just treat my wife even better from now on. So what if my mother-in-law is fierce? She still treats me like half a son.

"You're quite proud of yourself." Wang Chunni looked at Yang Lin helplessly.

"How can I not be proud? Isn't she my eldest daughter?" Yang Lin looked at Tao Chenyang smugly.

Tao Chenyang turned his face away, not wanting to look at Yang Lin; this smile made him look even uglier.

“Where is Yang Lin ugly? I don’t think so.” Tao Ying looked Yang Lin over carefully.

Thick eyebrows, big eyes, a high nose bridge, full lips, and large ears that signify good fortune—although the combination isn't particularly appealing, each feature is quite attractive on its own.

"Mom, you don't need to comfort me, I'm used to it," Yang Lin said cheerfully.

"Why didn't Xiaoxue come today?" Wang Chunni was a little unaccustomed to not seeing Wang Yuexue.

Wang Yuexue would stay until Chuntao finished eating every day before leaving.

"I said I could take her in as my goddaughter, she doesn't necessarily have to marry Baomin, and she went back to think about it," Tao Ying explained.

"What?" Wang Chunni was stunned.

"So she's taken a liking to Mom?" Yang Lin exclaimed in surprise.

Tao Ying really wanted to slap Yang Lin. "That child is starved for love, and he's surrounded by people who flatter him. He likes the atmosphere in our house," Tao Ying explained helplessly.

“Chuntao and I are Mom’s most beloved daughters.” Wang Chunni immediately hugged Tao Ying’s arm.

Upon hearing this, Tao Chenyang immediately grabbed his other arm, saying, "I'm holding it for my aunt."

The family was chatting happily when, the next morning, Tao Ying saw an unexpected person at her doorstep.

"Jiang Jiang?!" Tao Ying was genuinely shocked.

This girl came without even telling me.

"How did you get here?" Tao Ying glanced outside and saw no car.

"Aunt Jiang Jiang." The group greeted Jiang Jiang and then went about their own business.

“I came by train. My third brother called me the day you left.” Jiang Jiang didn’t stand on ceremony and sat down to start eating breakfast.

"Did you brush your teeth?" Tao Ying looked at Jiang Jiang with some disdain. This girl hadn't brought anything, and she wondered what Jiang Huan had said to her.

"I'll wear your clothes in a bit. I came in a hurry and didn't bring anything." Jiang Jiang looked at Tao Ying seriously.

"You can't possibly fit into my clothes." Tao Ying asked Tao Chenyang to get spare toiletries for Jiang Jiang.

"Look at your figure now, it's much better than mine," Jiang Jiang said meaningfully.

“Yes, Mom, you’re getting younger and younger. You look almost as old as Aunt Jiang Jiang.” Wang Chunni belatedly looked at Tao Ying.

"Mom, after I give birth, can you share some of your skincare products with me?" Wang Chunni suddenly felt like she and her mother were sisters.

Jiang Jiang stopped talking and ate her breakfast by herself.

Tao Ying was completely petrified.

Zhou Daya took care of the children, letting them go to work or school after they finished eating.

"Jiang Jiang, what do you mean?" Tao Ying touched her delicate cheek.

“My third brother has decided to be transferred back.” Jiang Jiang looked at Tao Ying.

"Isn't that a good thing? He's incredibly capable, it's a bit of a waste of his talents to be here." Tao Ying thought Jiang Huan had given up.

“My third brother probably won’t give up. You know, he’s the one who sent me here. He said I’d know what he was talking about once I saw you, Tao Ying. If it weren’t for your house, I really would have a hard time connecting the current you with the you from three years ago,” Jiang Jiang said earnestly, looking at Tao Ying.

"Are you trying to find a master to arrest me? Is it wrong for me to take care of myself?" Tao Ying said jokingly.

My heart skipped a beat. What on earth was going on?

It seems like it all started with that dream I had on the train, and I've been getting younger and younger ever since.

This is too unbelievable! This is too... But my own existence is quite unbelievable.

Normal people wouldn't time travel, would they?

"I've never heard of anyone who can get younger the more they take care of themselves. If that were the case, you'd be rolling in money," Jiang Jiang joked with a smile.

“When people have money, their mood improves, and they naturally look younger,” Tao Ying said dryly.

"Anyway, I think Jiang Huan is planning something big," Jiang Jiang said casually.
