“It’ll be fine once Mom goes back. The Jiang family doesn’t have any girls, so they like Baozhu more. It’s not like they’re trying to take your mom away. Besides, look, Baozhu even shares the same name as us,” Wang Baomin comforted Wang Baoshan.
“But the middle character of our girl’s name is Chun,” Wang Baoshan muttered to himself.
"Do whatever you want, I can't be bothered with you." Wang Baomin simply stopped trying to persuade him.
During her time in the hospital, the two of them couldn't help her at all; at most, they could only keep Tao Ying company and talk to her.
Wang Baoshan was admitted to the graduate program in civil engineering in Shanghai, and Wang Baomin is also preparing to come and work together on matters at the head office.
Wang Chunni has already completed her resignation process, and Yang Lin's job transfer appointment has been finalized. They're just waiting for Wang Chuntao to finish her college entrance exams so they can come over together.
Tao Ying bought an apartment for each of her children nearby, but only arranged a room for Tao Chenyang at home.
The third floor houses Tao Ying and Jiang Huan's room, opposite which is the children's room. The second floor houses Tao Chenyang's room, and opposite Tao Chenyang's room are guest rooms.
The first floor had rooms for two nannies, so Wang Baoshan and Wang Baomin stayed in the guest room, and neither of them minded.
The main reason is that Mom is here, and there's room for her, so who would want to live alone?
Now that Tao Ying has been discharged from the hospital, Jiang Yizhou and the others are too embarrassed to come over. Only Old Madam Jiang and Old Master Jiang come over every day as if it were their job, and Jiang Jiang and Sun Cuiping come over from time to time.
Jiang Huan only stayed at home for three days before returning to his unit; he didn't have that many days off.
Wang Baomin and Wang Baoshan drove here. Wang Baomin would go to work at the head office every day and bring the ox and horse with him.
He came back in the evening to keep Tao Ying company.
The two of them didn't have many opportunities to meet with Madam Jiang and Grandpa Jiang.
Both nannies were live-in nannies and very capable. Madam Jiang would also bring the nannies and driver over, so Xiao Baozhu was taken very well in.
In just one month, Baozhu was taken care of and became chubby and incredibly cute.
Tao Ying is also well-nourished, with a rosy complexion and a plump but not bloated figure, making her look even more charming.
Before she knew it, it was time for Wang Chuntao to take the college entrance examination. Before the exam, Wang Chuntao made a special phone call to Tao Ying.
"Mom, I don't want you to come and accompany me to the exam. My grades are very stable. The college entrance exam is just a stage in my life. I won't perform well or poorly because of whether you're there or not. Right now, my sister can't live without you. I'll come to see you after the exam," Wang Chuntao said to Tao Ying clearly.
"Okay, Chuntao, Mom believes in you," Tao Ying replied gently.
There was no requirement to accompany the parents to the exam, nor to be the kind of parent who only moved themselves.
Three days later, Wang Chuntao finished her college entrance examination, and Yang Lin brought Wang Chunni, Wang Chuntao, Tao Chenyang, and Yang Chenxi to Shanghai.
Tao Ying went to pick them up when they arrived.
Tao Ying and Wang Baomin went to the train station to pick them up together.
Yang Lin did not drive, mainly because Yang Chenxi was too young.
I'm worried that driving for too long will be too much for my child.
"Grandma!!!" Tao Chenyang rushed over the moment he saw Tao Ying.
Tao Ying immediately squatted down, stretched out her hands, and prepared to catch Tao Chenyang.
However, Tao Chenyang stopped in front of Tao Ying.
She slowly nestled into Tao Ying's arms, saying, "Grandma, I missed you."
"Grandma misses you too." Tao Ying hugged Tao Chenyang affectionately.
The little guy has grown so much in just a few months.
"Grandma, is Auntie Xiao Xiao good? Is she easy to take care of?" Tao Chenyang looked at Tao Ying with anticipation.
"What is 'Little Aunt' called?" Tao Ying couldn't help but laugh out loud.
“Mom, Yangyang said that I will always be her aunt, and Baozhu is younger than her, so she is her little aunt,” Wang Chuntao said with a smile as she walked over.
“Our Yangyang is right.” Tao Ying stroked Tao Chenyang’s head.
"Let me see our Xixi." Tao Ying looked at Yang Chenxi, who was already seven months old.
It's chubby and white, and it has grown two lower teeth.
She smiles broadly at everyone she meets, revealing two tiny baby teeth, which is quite comical.
However, Tao Ying did not hug Yang Chenxi, but instead held Tao Chenyang's hand and walked ahead.
Wang Chunni, Yang Lin, and Yang Chenxi rode in Wang Baomin's car.
Wang Chuntao and Tao Chenyang rode in Tao Ying's car.
"Mom, why don't you ask me how my exam went?" Wang Chuntao asked Tao Ying after getting on the bus.
"The exams are all over, asking won't change anything. Mom just wants you to be happy," Tao Ying replied earnestly.
"Auntie will definitely do very well on the exam," Tao Chenyang said, looking up with a serious expression.
"You little rascal." Wang Chuntao put her arm around Tao Chenyang's shoulder.
The group first went to Tao Ying's house. Some of the more important items from Wang Chunni's family were sent over and placed in the house that Tao Ying had bought for them.
"Chuntao, I bought you an apartment near the University of Finance and Economics. Mom also saved you a room at home, right next to Yangyang's room," Tao Ying said to Wang Chuntao.
"Mom, why isn't there a room for me and Baoshan?" Wang Baomin completely broke down.
"How old are you and Baoshan? Don't you know that when your son grows up, you have to separate the family property?" Tao Ying didn't feel guilty at all.
Wang Baomin was speechless. This was even more hurtful than being accused of delaying his relationship with Uncle Jiang.
When the group arrived home, the nanny had already prepared a sumptuous meal.
Madam Jiang and Grandpa Jiang were playing with Jiang Xuan, who was lying in the cradle.
Although the little guy can't do anything yet, the elderly couple can't get enough of him.
"Hello, Grandpa and Grandma." After entering the house, the group greeted the elderly couple politely.
"Greetings, Great-Grandpa! Greetings, Great-Grandma!" Tao Chenyang greeted them politely.
