"Take this money first, use it for your mother's medical treatment." Wang Baomin handed the money to Zhou Tian.
“No, no, I…” Zhou Tian quickly refused.
"Consider this money a loan from your aunt. You can pay it back to your aunt when you have the money in the future," Tao Ying said softly.
"Thank you, Auntie, I will definitely pay you back." Zhou Tian held the bag in her hand.
"I'll take you to the hospital." Wang Baomin packed breakfast and left with Zhou Tian.
Tao Ying's "..." was quite different from Xiao Xue's.
When Wang Baomin took Zhou Tian to the hospital, Zhou Tian's mother had already been moved out of the ward.
A person sat alone in the hall, with nothing around them.
"Mom!" Zhou Tian ran over crying.
"Don't cry, Tian Tian, Mom is okay." Zhou Tian's mother weakly stroked the top of Zhou Tian's head.
It was already in its late stage, so even with treatment, it was impossible to cure.
The continuous chemotherapy made Zhou Tian's mother very uncomfortable.
“Aunt Zhou.” Wang Baomin walked over.
"Who are you?" Zhou Tian's mother did not recognize Wang Baomin.
“Jiang Huan is my stepfather,” Wang Baomin said.
"Thank you," Zhou Tian's mother said softly, her voice weak with emotion.
"Mom, Mr. Wang lent me money, we have money to pay the hospital fees now," Zhou Tian said, wiping away her tears and her eyes red.
"Mr. Wang, we've already troubled you so much. Could you please take care of Tian Tian a little longer? I don't have many days left to live. I'll definitely repay you when Zhou Hao comes back." Zhou Tian's mother looked at Wang Baomin with pleading.
Sweetie is so spoiled at home that she can't survive. But if Sweetie and Xiaohao are sent away together, Xiaohao might never come back in order to protect Sweetie.
We can't let Tian Tian ruin Zhou Hao's life.
Although it was hard to bear, she still gave up her daughter. How could a mother not feel heartbroken?
But there's really no other way.
"Aunt Zhou..."
"Tian Tian, go and help Mom with the admission procedures. A regular ward will do," Zhou Tian's mother interrupted Wang Baomin.
“Okay.” Zhou Tian took her mother’s documents and quickly went downstairs.
“Our family has given up on Tian Tian.” After Zhou Tian left, Zhou Tian’s mother said to Wang Baomin.
“If it weren’t for you, Tian Tian might have been gone yesterday, or today might be the day our mother and I die,” Zhou Tian’s mother continued.
“No one will help us at this time, and I don’t ask you to help us either. Thank you for your help to her yesterday.” Zhou Tian’s mother looked at Wang Baomin gratefully.
"I have no feelings for her, I just saw injustice and wanted to help," Wang Baomin explained.
“I know I don’t have many days left, and I might not even survive a week. Zhou Hao might not be able to come back. Thank you for saving Zhou Tian yesterday.” Zhou Tian’s mother held Wang Baomin’s hand.
Wang Baomin felt as if a key had been shoved into his hand.
Zhou Tian's mother talked to Wang Baomin for a while longer before she became unconscious.
Zhou Tian returned covered in sweat, having already completed the hospital admission procedures.
Wang Baomin carried Zhou Tian's mother into the ward, hired a caregiver for her, and then left.
After leaving, Wang Baomin went directly to Jiang Huan and gave him the key.
“Uncle Jiang, this was given to me by Madam Zhou. I feel like she’s using this to exchange for Zhou Tian’s safety.” Wang Baomin didn’t know what the key represented.
“How can a mother really watch her daughter die? You are their lifeline.” Jiang Huan sighed as he looked at the key.
“Uncle Jiang, what should we do?” Wang Baomin asked, looking at Jiang Huan.
“Baomin, this key will allow our family to move up another level,” Jiang Huan said bluntly.
“I understand.” Wang Baomin nodded.
After Wang Baomin left, he found two caregivers and took them to the hospital.
They upgraded Zhou Tian's mother's ward.
“Mr. Wang…” Zhou Tian was a little nervous.
"Aunt Zhou, I will take good care of Zhou Tian from now on," Wang Baomin assured Zhou Tian's mother.
"Mr. Wang?" Zhou Tian looked at Wang Baomin with disbelief. He had just rejected her this morning.
"Thank you." Zhou Tian's mother gave a weak smile.
"Sweetie, live well and wait for your brother to come back," Zhou Tian's mother said with a smile.
“Mom…” Zhou Tian had a bad feeling.
"Is Tian Tian still in school?" Wang Baomin asked, looking at Zhou Tian.
“I’m a junior majoring in art.” Zhou Tian was taken aback by Wang Baomin’s way of addressing her.
“Actually, my mom could adopt Tian Tian as her goddaughter,” Jiang Huan added.
“No, you take care of Tian Tian.” Zhou Tian’s mother shook her head vigorously.
Wang Baomin's mother has too many children, but to outsiders, none of them are as precious as Wang Baomin's girlfriend.
Even if Wang Baomin changes in the future, Zhou Hao may have already returned.
Perhaps Zhou Tian has already become independent.
Even if there's no possibility, then it's Zhou Tian's fate.
"Okay," Wang Baomin replied.
"Mom?" Zhou Tian was completely bewildered and didn't understand what the two were talking about.
However, she understood what her mother meant: she would have to follow Wang Baomin from now on, unless Wang Baomin didn't want her anymore.
Not long after, Zhou Tian's mother fell asleep.
"I'll take you to pack your things," Wang Baomin suggested before leaving.
“I don’t have much left. My house was auctioned off by the court. I only have some things left in my school dormitory,” Zhou Tian said, her head down.
"I'll take you shopping." Wang Baomin took a card out of his wallet and gave it to Zhou Tian.
"Here, take this. I'll have someone deposit 10,000 into it every month. If it's not enough, just let me know." Wang Baomin wasn't stingy with Zhou Tian.
"I..." Zhou Tian didn't know what to say for a moment.
