After entering the bathroom, Grandma Tao first unpacked the items, which were both familiar and unfamiliar.
Grandma Tao herself hadn't seen it much.
The main reason is that I've never seen anything so good before. Although we had achieved basic food and clothing security by 2005, nothing was so abundant.
When I took out the toothbrush, the bristles were soft, not as hard as my usual toothbrush. My teeth are already bad, and I've often bled and hurt myself while brushing them.
However, fearing that the children would dislike her, Grandma Tao brushes her teeth very carefully every time.
When I opened the toothpaste tube again, it came out very smoothly, unlike my old toothbrush, which always required a lot of force to squeeze out just a little bit.
Especially towards the end, when there's not much left, you have to roll it out with a rolling pin.
When I put it in my mouth, it wasn't as spicy as before, and it didn't make my eyes water. This toothpaste smells nice and doesn't clump.
Moreover, the little girl's teeth were exceptionally good, white and straight, without a single cavity.
Unlike Grandma Tao's teeth, which were not only yellow but also had black spots, several of them were cavities, and two of them had exposed nerves, and sometimes large blisters would appear.
At its worst, my tooth was swollen for half a month, and even IV drips didn't help.
After brushing her teeth, she washed her face with soap. The little girl's skin was exceptionally good, white and tender.
However, my face felt a bit dry after washing with soap, not as smooth as before.
It seems like the young girls all use that kind of facial cleanser to wash their faces.
Then I wiped a bunch of bottles and jars.
There weren't any facilities here, so I wiped myself with a towel and prepared to go out.
After wiping my face, I realized that little girls don't usually use towels to wipe their faces.
Suppressing these thoughts, I went outside and was startled to see Liu Yanli at the door.
"I'm sorry, I was worried something might happen to you. You rest a little longer, and I'll go buy you breakfast, steamed buns and millet porridge, okay?" Liu Yanli asked.
"Okay," Grandma Tao said softly, then went back to bed.
After breakfast, the doctor came to check on her, and Grandma Tao answered him in a daze.
The little girl had it all in her memory, but she couldn't process it herself.
"Get some rest and don't overthink things." After giving the doctor these instructions, I went back home.
Around nine o'clock, Mr. Shi's voice could be heard from outside the door.
At the same time, Grandma Tao felt like her head was about to explode.
The pain intensified as people approached.
“Go tell him to stop talking, ugh…” Old Mrs. Tao said, sounding disgusted.
Liu Yanli was taken aback and hurriedly ran out.
"What's wrong? Is Tao Ying seriously ill?" Wang Jing was terrified when she saw Liu Yanli like this.
"Stop talking. The kid is already screaming when he hears your voice. His head is hurting again." Liu Yanli had no idea what a leader was.
That child looked terrifying.
Mr. Shi immediately shut up, his face turning very pale.
Wang Jing's expression was also quite serious. It seemed that Tao Ying's headache started yesterday after she mentioned President Shi.
"Mr. Shi, why don't you go back first? I can handle things here," Wang Jing said softly.
What kind of mess is this? The leader meant well by offering condolences, but it only worsened Tao Ying's condition.
Doesn't this mean that Tao Ying's illness is mostly due to President Shi?
However, President Shi really went too far, acting like a madman, having fits of madness every day.
Just as Mr. Shi was about to speak, Liu Yanli waved her hands frantically beside him, scaring him into silence. He gestured with his hands and went back with a dark face.
Wang Jing didn't even have time to pay attention to President Shi and hurriedly walked into the ward.
Grandma Tao was leaning over the bed and vomiting into the trash can.
I threw up almost everything I ate this morning.
Wang Jing quickly handed Tao Ying a bottle of water. "He's gone."
After vomiting, Grandma Tao lay weakly on the bed, her head still throbbing with a sharp, needle-like pain.
I didn't want to talk, and I didn't have the energy to talk, so I drifted off to sleep again.
"How is she?" Wang Jing asked Liu Yanli softly.
"She was fine yesterday, but she couldn't stand hearing people talk too much. I was talking to Tao Ying yesterday and she had a headache too. It's because she didn't have anyone to talk to that she had such a bad headache," Liu Yanli said frankly.
Wang Jing sighed and instructed Liu Yanli to take good care of Tao Ying.
After returning home, tell the people at the company not to visit Tao Ying, as it will worsen her condition.
Then she went to see General Manager Shi and said, "Boss, what should we do about this? The doctor said that even if I recover, there might be long-term effects. I'll have the work injury department assess it tomorrow." Wang Jing was also very troubled.
"She's too fragile. What can I do to her? That's just my temper. Now it's like I did something to her. How is she supposed to go to work like this? From now on, every time I speak, she'll be right there beside me complaining. I'll just have to keep her company. There's nothing I can do about it. It's not easy being all alone." After venting, President Shi sighed.
What's going on? How come their resilience is so poor?
It's clear that key positions shouldn't be filled by women.
"It's impossible to talk to Tao Ying about her current situation. She gets a headache if others talk to her too much." Wang Jing also had a headache.
"Fine, let's compensate her according to the highest standard. She probably won't be able to do this job anymore anyway," Mr. Shi said, waving his hand with some annoyance.
“Then I will provide compensation according to the 2n+1 standard, and then we’ll see how the workers’ compensation department will handle it.” Wang Jing looked at President Shi with some trepidation.
I'm afraid Mr. Shi will yell at me.
If Tao Ying's brain doesn't recover well, it could cause problems later.
What a pity, only thirty-three. If it weren't for this incident, there would be endless possibilities for him in the future.
However, he didn't dare say those words out loud.
