Chapter 191: Grandma Tao's Story (End)

"What kinds of tasks are there? Can I take a look?" Old Mrs. Tao looked at the City God with some caution.

I have a feeling this guy isn't up to anything good.

Grandma Tao has never enjoyed any happiness in her life and has never dared to hope that any good fortune would come her way.

"It's about saving those fragile souls with a lot of resentment. Erzhuang can be your personal spirit body," the City God said with a smile, looking at Old Lady Tao.

The two ghost messengers cheerfully brought over a signboard with several other signs on it, one for palace intrigue, another for family feuds, yet another for cannon fodder in a bygone era, and yet another for survival in the apocalypse.

"You might as well just let my soul be scattered to the winds." Old Mrs. Tao simply closed her eyes.

The City God…

Why is this old lady so stubborn?

"Grandma, palace intrigue and domestic power struggles are so wonderful! Once you get there, you'll be living a life of luxury, with many people serving you like empresses and young ladies. So many people can only dream of that. I've read all sorts of stories about it, and I guarantee you'll be amazing at everything," Erzhuang whispered from the side.

His eyes were full of longing, and he genuinely felt that he was incredibly capable.

"Give me a break! I know my own limitations. Everyone else is skilled in music, chess, calligraphy, painting, needlework, and housekeeping. What about me? I can't read a single word. What am I supposed to do there? Am I supposed to just wait to be killed?" Old Mrs. Tao still had some self-awareness.

"Then let's go to the era. You happen to be from this era, you know everything, and you'll definitely have a smooth journey." The two ghost messengers continued to make the contact.

I also think this is feasible. If that's the case, then Grandma Tao will be taking care of me.

This old lady is so capable, she can definitely do it.

"Am I some kind of despicable person? Or have I not suffered enough? I finally survived that era of scarcity, and now I'm going to go back to suffer?" Old Mrs. Tao stared at Erzhuang with wide eyes, looking at him like he was a fool.

"Then let's go to the apocalypse. People in that era all have superpowers, and there will be many powerful people joining us. Our family will definitely thrive." Guicha Erzhuang could already imagine how powerful he would become in the future.

"Are you stupid, or is he stupid?" Old Mrs. Tao looked at the ghost messenger Erzhuang with disbelief.

"You disagree?" Guicha Erzhuang looked at Old Madam Tao in disbelief, truly unable to understand.

"Agree to what? Agree to suffer for you?" Old Mrs. Tao rolled her eyes.

"What do you mean? You're not choosing?" The second strong man looked at Old Mrs. Tao in disbelief.

"Why should I choose? Just because you give me an option, do I have to choose it? Can't I refuse? You can beat me to a pulp." After saying that, Old Mrs. Tao strode out.

The City God sighed and waved his hand. Grandma Tao immediately felt much lighter.

"Tao Ying, I'm hiring you as a ghost messenger. Do you agree?" the City God asked.

He looked at Old Mrs. Tao with a serious expression.

For Grandma Tao, it was a genuine satisfaction, at least better than Erzhuang's.

The City God strongly suspects that the decreasing offerings he receives are absolutely related to these fools.

"I'm sorry, I don't care." After saying that, Grandma Tao strode out of the City God Temple.

When I opened my eyes, I was still lying in my modern house.

It was as if everything that happened during that time was a dream.

She stumbled and ran to look in the mirror. When she saw her familiar face in the mirror, Grandma Tao couldn't help but smile happily.
