Chapter 213 Jiang Xuan's Story 23

"I'm sorry!" Jiang Xuan felt extremely guilty.

"Why are you apologizing? We were playing ball together. If I got hit by the ball, it's because I'm not as good as you. I'm already home, you can go back now," Gao Shen said seriously.

Jiang Xuan glanced at Gao Yue furtively, feeling as if she was about to fail.

Gao Yue secretly tried to encourage Jiang Xuan, but dared not say too much for fear of making a mistake.

Jiang Xuan returned home looking unhappy, and the next day after get off work, she went to wait downstairs at Gao Shen's office building.

Gao Shen didn't feel awkward at work that day.

Because Gao Shen is usually not very talkative, no one dared to come over and ask him how he got injured.

At five o'clock, Gao Shen left work on time.

It's not that Gao Shen is unprofessional, but rather that he believes people who need to work overtime to complete their work are inefficient.

Gao Shen himself is definitely not that kind of person.

So as long as I'm not on a business trip, I always leave work on time.

As for dinner parties and such, which are business-related, Gao Shen rarely attends.

Gao Shen has a driver, but as soon as he came downstairs, he saw the familiar car parked there and immediately waved to the driver who was about to drive over.

"Uncle Gao, I've come to pick you up from get off work. Do you have any other plans? I'll give you a ride." Jiang Xuan no longer had any intention of flirting with Gao Shen; she just wanted to make amends.

"Just take me home," Gao Shen said softly.

"Okay, Uncle Gao, are your eyes feeling better?" Jiang Xuan asked somewhat nervously on the way.

"Much better. You can just call me by my name, no need to be so polite," Gao Shen replied.

"That won't do, Yueyue and I are friends." Jiang Xuan was even more embarrassed.

Then there was a period of relative silence.

Gao Shen wanted to find a topic to talk about, but he didn't know what to ask. He was also afraid of damaging his position in Jiang Xuan's heart, so he started asking about work.

"Are you happy with your work right now?" Gao Shen asked.

"Everything is fine. Gao Shen, can we not talk about work after work?" Jiang Xuan didn't like talking about work after get off work.

Just like how the eldest sister was afraid that her mother would find her work.

"Okay, I didn't think it through," Gao Shen said apologetically.

After finally getting her home, Gao Shen invited Jiang Xuan upstairs for a chat.

Jiang Xuan didn't think much of it and followed.

When I opened the door, I found Gao Yue sitting in the living room, eating half a watermelon.

"Didn't you go to work today?" Gao Shen asked, frowning in confusion.

"I don't want to go, so I took the day off," Gao Yue replied without looking up.

"Gao Yue, could you help me apply this medicine?" Gao Shen said with a stern face.

"Uncle, let me do it." Jiang Xuan immediately volunteered.

If you feel that you caused the trouble yourself, then you should clean up the mess yourself.

Gao Yue didn't move either, and continued eating her own watermelon.

Gao Shen took out the first-aid kit, and Gao Yue gently removed Gao Shen's glasses.

I couldn't help but swallow hard, especially when I looked down and could see his impressive pectoral muscles – it was just too alluring.

Then, gently unwrap the gauze, and all your worries will disappear.

After a night, although the swelling had gone down a lot, the surrounding area had turned bluish-purple, which was really scary.

"I'm sorry." Jiang Xuan held the cotton swab, unsure of where to begin.

"It's okay. It just looks scary, but it doesn't actually hurt," Gao Shen gently comforted Jiang Xuan.

Gao Yue watched from the side, her lips pursed in disapproval. She didn't believe that Baozhu simply wanted to seduce her uncle and then cheat on him.
