Chapter 281 Tao Chenyang's Story 20

"Should we chop the fish?" Tao Chenyang asked again when Su An didn't move, mainly because Su An didn't seem like someone who would do manual labor.

"No need, I'll braise it. A whole fish is fine. Yangyang, do you want some braised fish?" Su An asked nervously.

“I eat everything, except for things that don’t taste bitter.” Tao Chenyang is not a picky eater.

"Okay." Su An immediately got up and started cooking; the pork ribs were already stewing.

In just over an hour, four dishes and a soup were already on the table.

Su An served Tao Chenyang a bowl of rice and sat down opposite him.

I served myself a bowl of soup; I simply couldn't eat any more rice.

Tao Chenyang waited for Su An to sit down before starting to eat. He first picked up a piece of fish and then began to eat quickly.

The saying "one should not speak while eating" was fully embodied at the dinner table between the two. Su An originally wanted to say something, but before she could even open her mouth, she saw Tao Chenyang eating heartily, and for a moment she didn't know what to say.

She didn't know whether to be happy that her cooking was good or sad that Tao Chenyang wouldn't talk to her.

"Why aren't you eating?" Tao Chenyang had already finished a bowl of rice, but when he looked up, he saw that Su An's bowl of soup was not even half empty, and couldn't help but ask.

"Would you like more rice? I'll get you some," Su An asked.

"I'll go myself. You need to take good care of your injuries and eat more." Tao Chenyang was too embarrassed to give orders to the wounded.

In the end, Tao Chenyang ate three bowls of rice and almost finished all the dishes, leaving only some spare ribs.

"Should you take some digestive tablets?" Su An was dumbfounded, afraid that Tao Chenyang would not be able to hold on any longer.

"It's okay, I'll run home after I wash the dishes," Tao Chenyang said nonchalantly.

"Run...run? It must be about twenty kilometers, right?" Su An looked at Tao Chenyang in disbelief. "Yeah, it's a bit short, but it's okay." Tao Chenyang thought about adding something else.

Su An "..."

"It's already five o'clock. Isn't it unsafe for him to go home tonight?" Su An was still a little reluctant to see Tao Chenyang leave, not because she wanted to do anything.

Instead, it was a long-cherished wish finally fulfilled, and for a moment, it felt a little unreal.

"Who's not safe?" Tao Chenyang looked at Su An, somewhat confused.

Su An spit out his saliva as he thought of his Yangyang's fierce appearance during the day.

"I'll wash the dishes." Su An was reluctant to let Tao Chenyang wash the dishes.

“You cook, I wash the dishes; you can’t just do nothing.” Tao Chenyang couldn’t bring himself to do nothing without feeling at ease.

"Is your headache gone?" Tao Chenyang asked.

"Seeing you makes the pain less," Su An said, gazing at Tao Chenyang with a dreamy look.

Tao Chenyang didn't answer, but felt a cold sweat break out on his brow. He quickly finished packing and headed home.

Su An was a little reluctant to part with Tao Chenyang and subconsciously reached out to take his hand.

Tao Chenyang's brain didn't even register what was happening before he instinctively tugged and pulled, followed by Su An's agonizing scream.

"I'm sorry, I thought you were trying to ambush me." Tao Chenyang quickly apologized, but it was too late by the time he realized what was happening.

"It's okay, I shouldn't have pulled you from behind." Su An's face was pale, and she felt like her arm was about to fall off.

"Why are you pulling me?" Tao Chenyang asked instinctively.

"We're boyfriend and girlfriend, it's not illegal for me to pull you, right?" Su An felt incredibly wronged.

Am I in a relationship now?

"Huh? Right, I forgot. I'll call my grandma. I'm not going back tonight. Do you have a guest room?" Tao Chenyang finally realized.

As she spoke, she dialed Tao Ying's number and said, "Grandma, I've been staying at home for the past few days."

"Okay, make sure to take the necessary precautions," Tao Ying gently instructed.

"Understood," Tao Chenyang replied, then hung up the phone.

Su An couldn't help but swallow hard. Was what she heard true? Was her grandmother really that open-minded?

Should I take the initiative, or take the initiative, or take the initiative?

"My house, my house doesn't have..." Su An looked at the guest room somewhat guiltily.

"Go inside and rest. Didn't the doctor tell you to get some rest?" Tao Chenyang carried the trash downstairs.

Su An "..."

It was three hours later when Tao Chenyang returned, and he brought several changes of clothes.

The two spent three days together before Su An went back to work. There was too much work to do, and Tao Chenyang's vacation hadn't ended yet, so he didn't have anything else to do and went to work with Su An. The main reason was that Su An's driver and assistant had all been arrested.

Although it was easy to find, everyone was still quite worried, and Su An also wanted to take the opportunity to spend some time with Tao Chenyang.

There happened to be a rather large meeting, and Gao Shen was also in attendance. Gao Shen was in high spirits, radiating an aura of happiness.

Seeing Su An's pale face, he couldn't help but greet him first, his voice carrying a hint of sarcasm, "Isn't this Secretary Su?"

"Yangyang, what are you doing here?" Gao Shen asked Tao Chenyang in a much warmer tone, full of the gentleness of an elder.

"Gao Shen, have you been faking it all these years?!" Who is Su An? He's the kind of person who'll fight anyone who disagrees with him. He's not afraid of anyone in the entire system, otherwise he wouldn't have made enemies everywhere.

"Uncle Xiao," Tao Chenyang greeted him politely.

Regardless of whether Gao Shen was a classmate or not, as long as Gao Shen married Jiang Xuan, he would be a member of the Jiang family and her uncle, and must be respected.

Su An "..."

"Did you hear that? I'm Yangyang's uncle-in-law, his own flesh and blood." Gao Shen looked at Su An with a sinister smile.

"Hello, little uncle." Su An immediately changed his address.

Although I look down on Gao Shen, we're practically family now, so I don't care about these little things anymore.
