"Amitabha!" Master Hui'en closed his eyes, looking increasingly aged.
She didn't know how much time had passed when the middle-aged Tao Ying realized that the restraints on her body had disappeared, and she felt much more awake.
They tried to float out, only to find themselves in a graveyard.
For a moment, I didn't know what to do or where to go.
Drifting aimlessly, she wanted to find Wang Baojun, the child that middle-aged Tao Ying was most worried about.
Tao Ying wasn't worried about the other children, but that woman was softer-hearted than that old hag.
But the mental hospital could not be found.
For a moment, middle-aged Tao Ying broke down and wailed.
"Whose ghost is wailing so pitifully?" A mocking voice rang out behind middle-aged Tao Ying.
Tao Ying, who was middle-aged, looked back but didn't see anyone, which made her a little scared.
"You don't look like you just died, do you hit your head when you died, or are you just plain stupid?" The voice rang out again, this time from behind and above.
The middle-aged Tao Ying looked up and first saw the drooping hair, then the bluish face. She screamed and backed away, "A ghost!!!"
The female ghost was immediately displeased. "We're all ghosts, what are we acting for? Look at the ghostly aura on her body and that face. She wasn't young when she died, and she's been a ghost for quite a while. Why are you pretending to be a naive and innocent girl?"
"What are you yelling about? We're all ghosts, and you're not much better looking than me," the female ghost said angrily.
If I weren't a good ghost, and if this ghost didn't have the golden light of merit on her body, I would have eaten her.
"I'm a ghost!" The middle-aged Tao Ying belatedly realized and burst into tears.
"Hey, hey, why can't you play this game, you ghost? What are you crying for? Don't you know that ghosts can't cry? Crying will drain your soul power, and without soul power, you'll be scattered to the winds." The female ghost floated over and gently comforted the middle-aged Tao Ying.
"I can't find my son." The middle-aged Tao Ying continued to wail.
As she cried, countless ghosts surrounded her, and everyone watched the middle-aged Tao Ying cry.
As she cried, the middle-aged Tao Ying couldn't cry anymore, and finally quietly pulled the female ghost who had spoken to her first.
There were just too many ghosts around, and they were all strangely shaped. This female ghost was relatively better.
"Let's all disperse. Everyone has their grievances." The female ghost waved her hand, then pulled the middle-aged Tao Ying away from the place, to an unfinished building.
Looking at the dark, unfinished building, middle-aged Tao Ying felt a little scared. "Could there be...?" She couldn't finish her sentence; she felt like a ghost.
"Where do you want to go? We ghosts can't go to crowded places, because people's yang energy will affect us." The female ghost pulled the middle-aged Tao Ying into the unfinished building and floated onto the windowsill to sit down.
"Aren't we the ones influencing people?" Tao Ying, a middle-aged woman, asked, somewhat confused.
"The influence is mutual; it all depends on who's stronger. Without a life-or-death feud, who would bother with someone?" the female ghost sighed.
“You are different from us. You have abundant soul power and golden merit light. You don’t have to worry about being devoured by evil spirits.” The female ghost looked at the middle-aged Tao Ying with envy.
"Golden light of merit?" Middle-aged Tao Ying looked at the female ghost in confusion, as she had never done anything good.
"Yes! What good deed did you do? A ghost like you wouldn't usually be wandering around." The female ghost nodded.
Tao Ying, who was middle-aged, kept her head down and did not reply.
I haven't done anything good myself; it could only be that old monk who did something. But I can't tell these things to other... ghosts.
