Chapter 62 Chen Feng

"Mom, leave it to me, you go and rest." Wang Chuntao immediately smiled, her voice filled with joy.

"Then Mom will take Yangyang outside to play." Tao Ying didn't expect these kids to be so eccentric.

Some people love hardship, some love to work, and some love to be scolded.

What a good bunch of kids.

It's more suitable for me, as a mother, to take care of.

"Grandma, go play by yourself. I'm all grown up now. I want to help Auntie with the chores." Tao Chenyang hesitated for a moment.

In the end, she abandoned her beloved maternal grandmother and chose to cook with her aunt instead.

The two of them worked together every day, studied together, and did chores around the house together.

"Yangyang is so sensible, Chuntao has taught him so well." Tao Ying praised sincerely.

The two children immediately went off to work, beaming with joy.

Tao Ying lay on the newly made recliner outside, thinking happily, 'I really know how to take care of kids.'

Tao Ying lay down for a while, and then Wang Baomin came back. He said a few words to Tao Ying, and then started chopping wood, carrying water, and washing clothes.

"Mom, do you need your clothes washed?" Wang Baomin first took out Wang Baoshan's clothes, and then asked Tao Ying.

"Second brother, you can wash third brother's clothes. I'll wash Mom's clothes later." Wang Chuntao heard this from the kitchen and hurriedly ran out.

Tao Ying: "..." The child is too sensible, and she is too popular, there's nothing she can do about it.

Wang Chuntao quickly prepared the meal, and Tao Ying sat there calmly waiting to eat.

Wang Baomin went in to serve the dishes, while Tao Chenyang eagerly served the rice.

"Mom, eat more, you've lost weight this time." Wang Chuntao first put a meaty piece of pork rib on Tao Ying's plate.

"You're the one who's worked so hard, cooking every day is tiring." Tao Ying put a piece of pork rib on Wang Chuntao's plate, and then put a piece of pork rib on Wang Baomin's plate and Tao Chenyang's plate as well.

The three of them received the spare ribs from Tao Ying and happily ate them.

After dinner, Tao Ying drank the tea that Wang Chuntao had brewed for her. "Chuntao, go do your homework first. Let your second brother tidy up the table. After you finish your homework, we'll go pick up your sister together."

"Mom, I'll just stay home with Yangyang and wait." Wang Chuntao didn't quite understand.

“Let’s go for a stroll together. You’ll have to come with me to work at the shop later. Mom brought back a lot of nice clothes. Then Chun Tao will have new clothes every month,” Tao Ying said with a smile.

"Mom, that's such a waste. These clothes are brand new, so this will be fine." Wang Chuntao felt a warmth in her heart.

“I’ve prepared one for each of you. We’ll all be wearing new clothes, so you can wear yours,” Tao Ying said, raising her eyebrows.

"Mom~" Wang Chuntao said shyly, tugging at Tao Ying's sleeve.

"Be a good child who listens to Mom." Tao Ying gently stroked Wang Chuntao's hair.

Wang Chuntao ran into the room, feeling embarrassed.

Wang Chuntao has excellent grades, and she does half of her homework during breaks between classes, so she finishes it by 6:30.

When they left, Tao Chenyang was sitting on the front crossbar of Wang Baomin's bicycle, and Tao Ying was sitting on the back.

That's right, Tao Ying didn't ride a bicycle; instead, she sat comfortably on the back of Wang Baomin's bicycle.

Wang Chuntao herself rode a bicycle.

Thirteen-year-old Wang Chuntao is only about 1.5 meters tall, and her feet can't even touch the ground when she gets on a bicycle.

It was only after Wang Baomin helped Wang Chuntao get on the bicycle that she was able to sit down.

The four of them arrived at the night school in a grand procession.

Night schools are not as strictly managed as regular schools.

Without being stopped, Tao Ying and the other three went inside.

Wang Baomin knew Wang Chunni's classroom and led the three of them there.

There were about sixty or seventy people in the classroom, ranging in age.

Wang Chunni sat in the second row, listening attentively to the lecture.

Sitting behind Wang Chunni was a rather thin young man in his thirties, wearing a white shirt and glasses.

The young man didn't look at the blackboard, but stared at Wang Chunni's back. His gaze made Tao Ying very uncomfortable, as if he were looking at prey.

Tao Ying didn't say anything, she just stood there staring straight at the young man.

Most of the people in the classroom were listening attentively, after all, night school isn't free.

Most of the people who choose to attend the classes are those who want to learn well.

Perhaps Tao Ying's gaze was too sharp, for the young man soon noticed the two people outside the window.

She paused for a moment when a rather fashionable woman stared at her, then straightened her already faded white shirt.

Then, Wang Baomin, who was next to Tao Ying, seemed to freeze for a moment.

Chen Feng recognized Wang Baomin; he was Wang Chunni's younger brother.

But who is this woman next to them? I heard that Wang Chunni's father passed away, and they received a large sum of compensation. Her mother is retired, and she has a daughter, two unmarried brothers, a younger sister who is in school, and an older brother. Her brother's wife is a clerk, but she doesn't have a good relationship with the family.

Chen Feng was very satisfied with Wang Chunni, having heard that the man had been having illicit affairs and abusing her and her daughter.

She was later rescued by Wang Chunni's mother, who also brought her daughter back with her.

This woman is weak, gentle, honest, and hardworking.

She is a very good wife candidate.

The evening classes run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with no breaks in between.

Wang Chunni didn't see Tao Ying waiting at the door until get out of class ended at eight o'clock.

"Mom~, you're back!" Wang Chunni really missed her mother.

I don't feel it much when my mom is home, but I feel insecure when she's not.

Another matter is Chen Feng's situation; Wang Chunni really wants her mother to give her some advice.

Chen Feng was just too annoying. Wang Chunni had clearly refused him and didn't know what to do anymore.

Chen Feng was following behind Wang Chunni when he heard her address. He was startled.

'Could it be her stepmother? I've never heard of her.'

"Hello, Auntie, I'm Chunni's classmate, my name is Chen Feng." Chen Feng didn't hesitate for long before walking over, thinking he was being very polite.

Tao Ying gave Wang Chunni an encouraging look.

"Comrade Chen Feng, I'm not familiar with you, so please keep your distance from me in the future." Wang Chunni held Tao Ying's hand tightly.

Wang Chunni really isn't good at saying no.

However, Chen Feng's presence really caused him trouble.

Many people at work are making fun of me.

Wang Chunni was genuinely feeling unwell.

"Wang Chunni, I just think you're very outstanding. Are you overthinking it?" Chen Feng said with a somewhat unpleasant expression.

"If you know you're overthinking it, why don't you keep your distance? You're just shameless, always trying to find someone to call you 'auntie'." Tao Ying exploded.

"Between classmates..."

"Who said we're classmates? I've been watching a class from outside for a whole period of time. All the other students are here to study properly, but what about you? You're just staring at the well-dressed girls with those dead fish eyes." Tao Ying showed no mercy to Chen Feng.
