Chapter 69 The Trendy Old Man

After spending the morning together, the gatekeeper realized that Zhou Daya wasn't a bad person.

She was genuinely worried that her granddaughter would be scammed, but the old lady was quite shrewd; she spent the whole morning finding out all the gossip in the factory, but didn't reveal much about her own family affairs.

"Thank you for your help, Uncle." Wang Chunni said gratefully.

Even when Wang Chunni pushed her bicycle out after get off work, the old lady was still full of energy.

The security guard even came over to help the old lady get on her bicycle.

"Grandma, are you tired? How about I take you home first? I don't need to worry about you by myself." After thanking the gatekeeper, Wang Chunni suggested softly.

"Wang Chunni, you're so slow," Zhou Daya said irritably.

Wang Chunni immediately shut up and dared not say anything more.

Upon arriving at the night school, I settled the old lady in a seat outside and hurried inside to begin my class.

Tao Ying, on the other hand, didn't buy groceries. She went back to cook, having already arranged it with Wang Chuntao that morning.

Wang Baomin went straight to the store after get off work, and when he opened the door, he thought he had gone to the wrong place.

He quickly went out, then came back in.

"Grandpa?" Wang Baomin looked at the trendy old man in the shop and called out tentatively.

"Baomin, do you think I look good in this outfit? Your mother dressed me up." Old Master Wang turned around excitedly when he heard Wang Baomin's voice.

The old man was wearing wide-leg jeans and a pair of big leather shoes.

He was wearing a floral shirt, a fedora, and large sunglasses.

With the old man missing a tooth and his white beard, he really looked quite imposing.

"Baomin, you should change your clothes too." Tao Ying found Wang Baomin a pair of floor-length wide-leg pants, a base layer T-shirt, and a leather jacket.

"Eldest daughter-in-law, can I wear your leather jacket?" Old Master Wang was envious whenever he saw a leather jacket.

"Dad, once all the goods are sold, I'll get one for you too," Tao Ying said cheerfully.

Then I found a pair of black pants and a round-neck shirt to give to the old lady.

Then I gave Wang Chunni a blue dress.

Wang Chunli was given a white polka-dot dress.

They gave Wang Chuntao the smallest size: red pants and a white shirt.

Wang Baoshan was also given a parka and bell-bottoms.

"Mom, what are you doing? Are you not going to stay?" Wang Baomin looked at Tao Ying in shock.

“What do you know? This is called setting a precedent. For the next few days, you’re going to wear this outfit around. If anyone asks you, just tell them it’s our store,” Tao Ying instructed.

"Eldest daughter-in-law, where are we going now?" Old Master Wang couldn't wait to show off his new clothes.

"Let's go home. Baomin, pack your clothes back, and then take your grandfather back with you. I'll walk back myself." Tao Ying packed all the clothes.

"Mom, I'll just come back to pick you up. Don't go anymore, you've had a long day." Wang Baomin picked up the clothes and put them on the handlebars of his bicycle.

"I'll walk back too, the bicycle is too bumpy." Old Master Wang wanted to show off his new clothes.

“Baomin, I ate too much at noon and I’m not very hungry now. Why don’t you take me to pick up Chunni? I’m worried about your mother being alone there.” Grandpa Wang said after thinking for a moment.

Tao Ying thought, "..." If she hadn't seen the blatant boasting in the old man's eyes, she would have believed it.

This old man is trying to provoke the old lady. Why is he so stubborn? He's clearly no match for her, yet he insists on going in. Doesn't he fear the old lady's wrath?

"Grandpa, I can go by myself. I'll take you and Mom home in a bit, then I'll go to night school." Wang Baomin wasn't that cunning.

Wang Baomin was also quite worried about the two of them, mainly because he was afraid that Wang Chunni wouldn't be able to handle it.

"Dad, aren't you afraid Mom will get angry and won't let you wear it?" Tao Ying mercilessly exposed Old Master Wang's little scheme.

“I’m afraid of her. If I give her a look, your mother won’t know which leg to step on,” Old Master Wang said, tilting his head back.

"Mom, didn't you go to accompany Chunni to class?" Tao Ying asked in surprise, looking behind Grandpa Wang.

"Old woman, listen to me..." Old Master Wang immediately cowered, turned around to explain, and then realized he had been tricked.

"Eldest daughter-in-law!!" Old Master Wang was very angry.

"Grandpa, Grandpa, my mom and grandma are in cahoots," Wang Baomin tugged at Grandpa Wang's sleeve and whispered a reminder.

Old Master Wang…

"When you look for a wife in the future, you absolutely can't marry someone like your mother or grandmother. They're too formidable. You have to find someone honest. The men of our Wang family need to stand up for themselves. We're counting on you." Old Master Wang glanced at Tao Ying discreetly and whispered to Wang Baomin, seeing that she hadn't come out.

"Grandpa, is my second uncle also afraid of my second aunt?" Wang Baomin asked in a low voice.

"What's so special about your second uncle?" Old Master Wang said with obvious disdain.

“Grandpa, my sister-in-law listens to my brother in everything,” Wang Baomin said after thinking for a moment.

"When did you get an older brother? You only have an older sister, right? Don't even mention that unlucky thing that your mother kicked out." Old Master Wang was even more disgusted.

Wang Baomin “…”

The father and son chatted intimately and soon arrived home. Then Wang Baomin went back to pick up Tao Ying.

I didn't even have time to eat before heading to night school.

"Grandma, why are you sitting here?" Wang Baomin felt uneasy seeing the old lady sitting alone outside.

“If I don’t sit here, where else can I sit? Can I sit in the classroom?” Zhou Daya didn’t even want to pay attention to Wang Baomin’s stupid appearance.

Wang Baomin “…”

"What's going on with Grandma today?" Wang Baomin craned his neck to look inside, but didn't see Chen Feng.

“When has your grandma ever slacked off? Your clothes are quite nice, did your mom bring them back this time?” Zhou Daya noticed the clothes on Wang Baomin’s body.

If Baomin hadn't spoken to her just now, Zhou Daya wouldn't have dared to recognize him.

“Yes, my mom built it for me.” Wang Baomin nodded.

"Your mom has such good taste! You probably don't even see this kind of dress around here." Zhou Daya's eyes were filled with undisguised envy.

"Grandma, my mom has also prepared something for you. Try it when you get home." Wang Baomin couldn't bear to argue with Zhou Daya.

“I’m practically a corpse by now, why would I need to wear such nice clothes?” Zhou Daya said, feigning ignorance.

“Everyone in our family has one; my mom says it’s called ‘making a sample,’” Wang Baomin said cheerfully.

"Your grandpa has that too?" Zhou Daya couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.

"Of course! When my grandpa put on the outfit my mom prepared for him, he looked like a completely different person. I didn't even recognize him," Wang Baomin quickly said.

"Come on, even if your grandpa wore a dragon robe, he wouldn't look like a prince. What could he possibly become? Could he fly to the heavens?" Zhou Daya refused to admit that she was jealous.

Wang Baomin thought to himself, "..." He felt like he was just making a pointless opening his mouth.

"What time does Chunni get out of class?" Zhou Daya couldn't help but want to go home and see her new clothes.
