As they spoke, whether out of concern that Xu Xinchen might overthink things or to prove Chen Ningsheng's innocence, another employee quickly added a few words to salvage the situation.

The employee who said those words was immediately slapped on the shoulder by someone next to him. Xu Xinchen also vaguely heard the employee who slapped him say something like, "Don't talk nonsense."

Xu Xinchen pursed her lips and nodded solemnly. She turned and walked towards the elevator without saying anything more, keeping her gratitude to herself.
These employees were people she had only briefly interacted with at the company before, and their relationship wasn't particularly good. But now it seemed like they were all on her side, and it felt pretty good to have their support.
Even though the employees' attitude warmed Xu Xinchen's heart, the fact that someone was eyeing Chen Ningsheng still made her extremely angry.
She quickly took the elevator to Chen Ningsheng's office. Sure enough, as soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she heard a commotion coming from inside the office.
The main point was a woman speaking to Chen Ningsheng in a coquettish voice: "Brother Ningsheng, why are you working in a place like this? The interior design here is so outdated and old-fashioned, it doesn't suit you at all. I'll talk to my dad and find you a better place."

Chen Ningsheng's seemingly cold tone finally made Xu Xinchen feel a little better. It was clear that Chen Ningsheng had no interest in this woman, which was why he spoke so rudely.

Chen Ningsheng didn't know whether he believed the woman in the office or not, but his tone finally sounded much better: "Alright, I know how you feel, but I really feel comfortable working here. You should go home now and don't let your family worry."
The woman, having been rejected repeatedly, finally felt she couldn't take it anymore, and her tone carried a hint of resentment: "They're just doing this for your sake, how can you be so ungrateful?"
Xu Xinchen couldn't listen anymore. She stomped her foot hard on the ground and walked into the office. The sound of her heels clicking on the floor echoed down the corridor into the office.
The office fell silent. The woman stopped speaking in that coquettish tone, and Chen Ningsheng couldn't detect any movement.
Xu Xinchen walked to the door and realized that the office door was not closed, but left a crack large enough for a hand to be stretched out. No wonder the sound could be heard outside and was so clear.
However, she had been so engrossed in the woman's voice inside the office that she hadn't noticed the obvious anomaly at the door.
Upon hearing the sound of high heels, Chen Ningsheng immediately knew who it was. He put down the documents in his hand and smiled.
She quickly stood up and walked towards the door. Just as Xu Xinchen reached out to push the door open, Chen Ningsheng simultaneously pulled the door open from the inside.
Xu Xinchen was stunned. Her hand, which had been raised in mid-air, remained frozen for a long while before she lowered it. She raised her eyebrows, glanced at the woman standing behind Chen Ningsheng, and her tone sounded somewhat ambiguous.
"What's wrong? Do you have guests? Did I disturb you?"
