It wasn't actually as Chen Ningsheng described. It had absolutely no impact on his business. Changing partners temporarily would require paying a sum of money, but compared to working with someone of questionable character, Chen Ningsheng would rather just pay the money and be done with it.
Moreover, Chen Ningsheng wasn't going to let it go after paying this money. Since William dared to touch his people, he was determined to make him pay the price. This money would definitely not be wasted.
Although Xu Xinchen has lived two lives, she is not very good at doing business. After hearing Chen Ningsheng's words, she naturally believed them: "That's good. What I was most worried about was that it would affect you."
Chen Ningsheng smiled softly and didn't say anything more. He simply hugged Xu Xinchen tighter again, and the two stood there for a while before tidying up and going to bed to rest.
While everything seemed calm on Chen Ningsheng's side, William, who had suddenly received news from Chen Ningsheng that the cooperation was to be terminated, was so angry that he overturned everything on his desk.
The crackling sound reached the living room downstairs, causing Lyme, who was watching TV, and their parents to look up at the direction of William's study.
"My goodness, what's wrong with William? Why is he suddenly so angry?" William's mother patted her heart, which had just been frightened, and said with a worried expression.
William's father put down the newspaper he had been holding and, like William's mother, looked up at the study: "This child is probably dealing with business matters again. Besides business, he should..."
It's rare for something to make him go to such lengths.
William's mother sighed and shook her head helplessly: "Now that this child has grown up, he doesn't want to talk to us about anything anymore. I really feel a little disappointed."
William's father patted her on the shoulder and comforted her, saying, "Young people these days generally have their own ideas, and we can't control them too much. By the way, Lem, you and your brother should have a lot to talk about. Why don't you go up and ask your brother what happened?"
Lyme, who had been sitting quietly watching TV, was suddenly called on. He had no choice but to put down the remote control and turn to walk towards the study.
He never quite understood his parents' behavior. They were so strict with him, and they had to personally check on him before they could feel at ease, but they were so lenient with his older brother.
Even though their eldest brother made such a frightening noise, sounding as if it were in his own home, they could still sit downstairs and watch TV. Was it because their eldest brother had chosen to take over the family business and obeyed them that they trusted him so much?
Filled with deep doubt, Lem walked to William's study and knocked on the door. William was currently angry about the termination of the cooperation, and upon hearing the knock, he simply shouted impatiently, "Come in!"
Hearing William's angry voice, Lyme's heart suddenly skipped a beat, realizing that this matter was probably really serious, otherwise William wouldn't be speaking like this.
Even if William encounters something that makes him angry, he can quickly compose himself in front of others and will never reveal his emotions in the slightest.
But now, to hear a knock on the door from someone unknown, William can shout so loudly, there's only one explanation: this matter has caused William to lose control of his emotions, leaving him with no energy left to consider the feelings of others.
With anticipation for his future, Lyme pushed open the door to William's room and went straight in: "Brother, Father and Mother asked me to come up and ask you what happened and why you are so angry."
When William saw that it was Lyme who had come and heard Lyme's question, he realized that his anger had actually affected the people downstairs. Realizing this, William quickly took a deep breath and swallowed back the roar that was about to erupt from his throat.
Forcing a smile, William said to Lyme, "I'm fine. Go back and tell Father and Mother that it's just a small business problem that will be resolved soon."
As he said this, William's eyes turned unusually terrifying for a moment, but Lyme was focused on the huge mess on the ground and didn't notice William's gaze at all.
Upon hearing William's explanation, Lyme instinctively frowned. He didn't believe William's words. William wasn't usually such an impulsive person, yet he was so angry today, saying it was just a small business issue. How could that be?
Before Lem could even ask what was going on, William picked up the folders that had fallen to the ground and slowly gathered them up, saying to Lem as he did so.
"Alright, alright, I'm telling you there's nothing wrong. Just go down and explain to your parents. I need to get back to work. Don't bother me unless it's absolutely necessary."
Since William had already told him to leave, Lyme naturally wouldn't stay in the study and make a fool of himself. He thought about how capable his brother was, and how he couldn't help him even if something happened.
Lyme nodded to William without any hesitation, then turned and walked downstairs, calling out to his parents as he went, "Father, Mother, my brother said he's fine, just had a minor business problem..."
"Is that so? Then you should tell William that no matter what happens, there's always a way to solve it if you're willing to use your brain, so he doesn't need to be so angry."
William frowned slightly when he heard his father's voice coming from downstairs. His father was right; anything could be solved if you thought it through. He really didn't need to worry so much.
Just thinking that Chen Ningsheng might already know what he had done, William couldn't help but grab the folder hard, tearing several cracks in the plastic folder. The cracking sound once again aroused Lyme's curiosity in the hallway.
