On the second day, Ling Yuanyuan left without even saying goodbye to Tuanzi.
Tuanzi wasn't as sad this time, probably because she'd been through more.
Ye Wanying still felt sorry for her son, so around noon, she took out a piece of cake from her spatial storage:
"Baby, look, what's this?"
Tuanzi looked over and began to swallow uncontrollably: "Wow, it's a chocolate mousse cake."
The cake is topped with various fruits, including strawberries, yellow peaches, grapes, dragon fruit, cantaloupe, and cream.
It looks so good, and it looks so delicious!
Tuanzi had completely forgotten about Ling Yuanyuan's departure, and only three words remained in her mind: Delicious!
"Want some?" Ye Wanying deliberately tempted her foodie son in front of her.
"Yes, yes, Mommy wants to eat!" Tuanzi's eyes turned red with anxiety.
She was just trying to comfort her son: "Okay, then Mom will cut it in half for you, and we can eat the other half this afternoon, okay?"
It's almost noon, and if I eat this now, I definitely won't be able to eat anything else later.
Tuanzi hesitated for a moment. The cake was so delicious, she really wanted to eat it all, but then she thought about how her mom would eat the other half later in the afternoon, so she didn't object.
"good."
Suspicious drool dripped from the corner of his mouth, showing just how much he wanted to eat the cake.
Helpless, Ye Wanying took a tissue to wipe her son's glistening drool, cut it in half and set it aside, then gave her son the other half in front of her.
"Okay, you can eat now."
Tuanzi used a spoon to scoop out pieces of cake, eating them spoonful by spoonful, and she looked incredibly happy.
I really don't know who I inherited this foodie trait from. I used to think it was from me, but now I realize I'm not that much of a foodie.
She's quite similar to Ling Yuanyuan; no wonder they're birds of a feather.
You know, when Ling Yuanyuan came to our house a few days ago, she would bring a lot of snacks, and then she would never stop eating them until they were all gone.
Just then, the sound of the door lock turning rang out, and both mother and son looked towards the doorway.
Sure enough, the man who had disappeared for several hours returned.
"Daddy, Mommy's back!" Tuanzi said sweetly to Ye Wanying, hugging her cake with her mouth full of milk.
Ye Wanying was also stunned for a moment. She could see that the man looked travel-worn, and the camouflage paint on his face hadn't been washed off, leaving some green marks.
"Eat your cake properly, okay?" After saying this to her son, she walked towards the man and asked with concern:
"Are you alright? Are you very tired?"
The man reached out and hugged the woman, his voice slightly deep: "Don't worry, you're not injured, you just haven't had much rest."
"Then go take a shower first, and I'll go get you some clothes."
A tired person will feel much better after taking a shower.
Gao Dan didn't refuse: "Okay."
...
Men usually shower very quickly, finishing in just a few minutes. When Gao Dan came out, Tuanzi had already eaten more than half of the cake.
Although he was exhausted, the man still sat down next to his son and habitually reached out to ruffle his son's soft hair.
Tuanzi was enjoying being petted like a cat was missing, holding her beloved chocolate cake: "Daddy, eat cake, it's so delicious."
Gao Dan smiled and said, "You eat, Dad doesn't."
Tuanzi, however, wouldn't have it. She scooped out a large spoonful and held it directly to Gao Dan's mouth: "Daddy, eat!"
