Around six o'clock, several platoon leaders arrived with their company commanders, but Gao Dan, Political Instructor Zhao, and Political Commissar Wen had not yet returned.
With the leaders absent, the platoon leaders were less reserved.
"Ah Mo, wanna play cards?"
In the military, people's leisure activities were mostly playing cards; they didn't gamble for money, so the higher-ups turned a blind eye.
"I'm not playing, you guys play." The platoon leader named Amo was having a great time playing with the remote-controlled airplane that the little radishes had left aside. Playing cards or anything else, what's more fun than a remote-controlled airplane?
Several little children curiously gathered around Amo, asking, "Uncle, can you fly?" Li Lianchang's son scratched the back of his head and asked curiously.
Liu Qianmo observed for a while, and finally nodded to Xiao Zhuangzhuang: "I guess... I guess." She whispered the last "I guess" very softly, but it was still noticed by the sharp-eared children.
"Uncle, you can't, can you?"
"Exactly, this plane is really difficult to handle; none of us know how to operate it."
Pfft, what kind of logic is that?
Just because you can't do it doesn't mean others can't?
They really are just kids!
Liu Qianmo didn't mind and put the remote-controlled airplane down: "Then let's play something else."
The child didn't care about these things and quickly started introducing other toys to Liu Qianmo: "This is a Transformer, it can transform, look."
"That's really true."
"Uncle, uncle, look, this little train can run by itself."
Tuanzi glanced at it and whispered, "It could run by itself anyway, it has batteries." But it seemed like no one heard Tuanzi's muttering.
The little guy continued building with his blocks, and he was just one block away from completing the task.
Liu Qianmo leaned closer and asked, "Hey, little guy, what's this?"
Tuanzi sat on the floor covered with plastic sheeting, resting her chin on her hand as she pondered. Hearing Liu Qianmo's question, she turned around and glanced at him, replying, "Building blocks."
"Building blocks? You mean to stick these in here, right?"
"Yes, that's right."
After thinking for a moment, Liu Qianmo spoke again: "Can I try it?"
Tuanzi readily handed the last building block in her hand to Liu Qianmo: "Here you go."
"Aren't you afraid I'll fail?" Liu Qianmo asked with a smile.
To everyone's surprise, the little boy seemed to scoff and said, "Uncle, your failure isn't my failure. I'm not afraid at all. Besides, I've succeeded many times." So, it's no big deal if he fails once.
hehe....
A blow from a gifted child.
Liu Qianmo said nothing more, took the building block that still had the warmth of the little child's hand, and gently inserted it into the notch: "Hey, little guy, look, I succeeded too."
Tuanzi smiled and said, her eyes crinkling, "Uncle, I've discovered you're quite amazing too." She sincerely praised him.
Liu Qianmo couldn't help but reach out and ruffle the little man's hair: "You too."
Just then, the voices of the women in the kitchen rang out: "Get ready, the food will be served soon."
Liu Qianmo stood up: "Little guy, I had a lot of fun playing with you. I hope we'll have another chance to play together."
Tuanzi frowned slightly and said, "Uncle, you can come and play with building blocks with me anytime."
Upon hearing this, Liu Qianmo did not directly answer the question, but smiled meaningfully, then turned and walked towards the kitchen: "Sisters-in-law, let me help serve the dishes."
"Okay, okay, that's great, these are all going to be taken out."
