Chapter 581 An Adorably Cute Little Pig

After finally getting the fire going, Young Master Gu's face, smoke-stained, looked even more unsightly.

"Cough cough..."

He placed the iron pot on the fire and, for convenience, put the white rice porridge and chicken legs into the pot together.

However, Young Master Gu, who had never cooked in twenty years, had no idea why the rice in the pot had been reduced by half just because he had added a few more bits of fire.

Sigh, it's not that the rice is half gone, it's that the water is half gone. Who told you to turn up the fire to keep the rice warm?

Seeing this, Gu Yujin wasn't stupid. He put on the leather gloves his roommate had given him when he left, which were issued by the army, took the iron pot off the stove, and then found a spoon to scoop the remaining half bowl of rice into a bowl.

After eating the hot meal, the chill in my body seemed to disappear quite a bit.

Ye Wanying came out of the tent and asked, "How did you feel yesterday?"

Upon hearing this, Gu Yujin finished the last bite of his chicken leg, and immediately threw the bone far away after hearing the sound.

"Sister-in-law? Um, did I disturb you?"

Ye Wanying shook her head: "No, it's already quite late."

Should we persevere or give up?

Gu Yujin scratched his ear: "Sister-in-law, really, I was exhausted yesterday. I've never been this tired before. Towards the end, I even felt like I was about to die. It was really tough, but I never thought of giving up. Because I know what I really want, so I will persevere!"

Ye Wanying was quite satisfied with Gu Yujin's persistence; this former spoiled brat actually had some tenacity.

"Okay, since you insist, we'll begin our training program in half an hour. The tent is over there; set it up yourself, then change your clothes and call me."

Gu Yujin had no objections: "Okay!" he readily agreed.

Ye Wanying nodded and went back into the tent to look at her son, who was still sleeping soundly: "He's just like a pig."

The pig rolled over and lay flat on its back, fast asleep, blowing bubbles as it did so—it was absolutely adorable.

Ye Wanying really didn't want to disturb her precious son's sleep, but she couldn't just leave him alone in this desolate place, could she?

"Tuanzi, Tuanzi, wake up~~"

The person waved their hand in the air a few times, the meaning was clear: don't disturb their sleep.

However, not disturbing them is clearly not an option.

They got right to work, dressing the still-sleeping guy in clothes and shoes, and finally wrapping him in a cotton-padded jacket. It was indeed very cold on the mountain in the morning, and he would definitely get sick if he wasn't dressed warmly enough.

The little dumpling was being kneaded and pinched like dough, and slowly opened its eyes: "Mama~" it called out softly, still not quite back to its senses.

"You're awake? Then you need to get up. We still have things to do later, we can't be late!"

Hearing Ye Wanying's words, Tuanzi shook her head: "Mommy, I still want to sleep." She usually doesn't get up until at least seven o'clock at home, and it's only a little past five or six o'clock now.

Looking at her son nestled in her arms, acting all sweet and affectionate, Ye Wanying said helplessly, "Baby, Mommy has to leave here for a while. I might not be back until tonight. Do you want to stay here alone?"

Tuanzi immediately shook her head: "No, Tuanzi doesn't want to be alone, she wants to be with Mommy."

"Hmm, Mommy doesn't want to be separated from you either, so how about we leave together in a bit? Let's get up and eat something now."
