You have to use something to break it open to drink it, right?
Dean Gu began searching for tools to chisel things out. Meanwhile, the savages had already lit another fire and placed the skewered pheasants on it.
Grilling food is a common occurrence for someone living on a deserted island.
After setting up the pheasant, the savage looked around and saw Gu Beiwang hopping around on one leg, searching for something. He quickly got up and didn't need to explain much, since the other party wouldn't understand his babbling anyway, so he might as well just take action.
Gu Beiwang was still focused on his search when he suddenly felt his hands lighten, realizing that the two coconuts he was holding had been taken away by his wild friend.
"you..."
I was about to speak when the other party took action immediately.
He randomly picked up a rock from the ground, used one hand to support the coconut placed on the ground, and started smashing it with force.
With a pop, a hole appeared in the coconut shell.
"ah!"
Dean Gu cleared his throat before taking the already-carved coconut.
I used to think that if my leg wasn't broken and I could take care of myself, living on this deserted island wouldn't be too difficult.
But now I realize that even so, I still need to hone my skills!
You have to admit it!
After both coconuts were carved, the savage took his own and returned to the campfire, while Gu Beiwang slowly dragged one leg back as well.
By this time, the deserted island had become completely dark, with only a fire still burning, illuminating the two people's faces.
The pheasant was finally roasted. The outside was charred beyond recognition, but the inside was very tender and smelled delicious.
I've been eating grilled fish and shrimp for the past few days, and my mouth is getting so bland.
Today I can finally change things up. Although it's still grilled, the grilled chicken is so delicious, so oily and smells amazing.
Even the wild man friends raised their heads, their eyes sparkling as they looked at the roasted chicken in Gu Beiwang's hand.
Only then could they finally see clearly that even when their wild friend looked up, they couldn't make out his face.
Because his face was covered in long, fine hair, he looked no different from an ape-man whose head hadn't fully evolved.
If this were an ordinary girl or child, they would probably be really frightened.
Fortunately, Gu Beiwang was a grown man who had seen a lot in his life. After his initial surprise, he was relieved.
With a forceful pull, he tore the pheasant in half, handing one half to his wild friend:
"Eat."
The savage cried out "Ahhh!" a few times before taking it, and couldn't resist starting to bite it right away.
Gu Beiwang quickly reached out to stop him:
"The outer layer is inedible; it needs to be removed."
He carefully taught his savage friend to break off the charred outer layer of muscle and eat only the inside.
The savage had a strong learning ability; after watching Gu Beiwang do it a few times, he mastered it.
"Yes, that's right. Even though we live on a deserted island, we still need to be careful. If we get sick, there are no doctors here."
The savages certainly wouldn't understand these words.
Gu Beiwang realized what was happening, shook his head again, and then started eating, munching on the roast chicken while drinking fresh coconut juice.
This life, upon closer inspection, seems rather unbearable.
It's better than being on a ship, where you can only eat dry rations or individual food.
Indeed, at this very moment, the dozen or so people who set off for the deserted island didn't even have any dry rations.
"Sir, we're about to dock."
Everyone was incredibly excited at that moment.
