No one got a good rest during that week. Gao Dan also took a quick shower, went back to his room, got into bed, turned off the light, and finally hugged the mother and child before closing his eyes and falling asleep.
That night, snoring could be heard intermittently in the room.

I checked the time; it was already past ten o'clock.
Catching up on sleep is out of the question; I have to get up and prepare lunch. It seems none of the three of us ate breakfast this morning, right? So, I need to prepare lunch a little earlier.
But as soon as the light came in, the little dumpling who had been sleeping soundly with drooling slowly woke up, fluttering its long eyelashes and calling out in a soft, sweet voice, "Mama~~".
"Is it time for the baby to get up?"
The little one was clearly half asleep, but his arms were already outstretched, obviously wanting a hug.
Ye Wanying chuckled, then stepped forward and picked up the little one, only to hear the little one whisper that he was hungry.
"It's almost noon, so let's not eat anything else. How about some formula?"
Tuanzi naturally had no objections: "Okay!"
Soon, Ye Wanying came in with the prepared baby bottle. The little guy was already used to it and started hugging the bottle.
Seeing this, Ye Wanying left the room immediately. In the northern region, heating is turned on as soon as winter arrives, so the room is very warm now. It's hot even wearing only a thermal undershirt and long underwear.
I wasn't planning on making anything fancy for lunch, just something simple will do. I'll make something more elaborate for dinner. It's almost 11 o'clock now, and even if I wanted to, there wouldn't be enough time.

"Hey little guy, is your mom home?"
Tuanzi nodded, "Yes." Then, she shouted loudly, "Mommy, Mommy, the sentry uncle is looking for you!"
Ye Wanying then put down the cleaver and came out of the kitchen.
Upon seeing the person, the sentry immediately greeted respectfully, "Hello, sister-in-law!"
Ye Wanying asked with a smile, "Is there something you need from me?"
"Sister-in-law, yesterday a foreigner kept calling your name at the gate, but we couldn't understand anything else he said. He also tried to force his way into the compound, so he was locked up. Now, do you want to go and see if you recognize him?"
Ye Wanying was still a little suspicious. She didn't know any foreigners. Could it be a scammer?
"Okay, wait a moment."
"good."
The little guy wanted to go with her, but his mother forbade him to stay home and watch over her. In the end, he could only watch helplessly as his mother went out on her own.

He took a few hard gulps from the bottle.
