Ye Wanying narrowed her eyes. Although she couldn't hear what Wu Jin had said in the man's ear, judging from the change in her man's expression and the look in Wu Jin's eyes when he looked at her... something must have really happened.

If that's not the case, then the tone of the person asking to answer the phone definitely sounds like that of a kidnapper.

Wu Jin shook his head:

This kidnapping was really too unlike a kidnapping; even Ye Wanying couldn't figure out why.
Gao Dan paused for a moment, then reached out and took his wife's hand, squeezing it gently in his palm, presumably to comfort her.
