Gao Dan had no intention of responding; he kept his eyes fixed on the road ahead, pretending not to have heard anything.
However, the little guy in the back seat is never so easy to give up on. If there's no response after the first call, then he'll try again... and then again.

It seems I'll have to send you to the countryside to gain some experience when the opportunity arises.
