“I’ll go!”
He startled the other inspector:
"No, what are you shouting about? What happened?"
The dark-skinned inspector pursed his lips. He quickly stood up and, while pulling his colleagues towards the side room, apologized to Song Rushuang and the others:
"Well, excuse me, we need to talk about something...important."
Afterwards, regardless of whether the other inspector agreed or not, he forcibly dragged the person into another room.
"Why are you pulling me?"
"Identity card!"
He waved the ID card in his hand and began to stutter.
"Well, is there anything wrong with that young comrade's ID card? He can't be some fugitive, right?"
“No!”
"What is that?"
The man lowered his voice and said in a deep voice:
"I'm telling you something terrifying. Guess where this little girl named Xi Yan came from?"
"Wash Rouge? Which one are you talking about?"
They just called me "little sister" and "little comrade" and I didn't hear them introduce themselves, so it doesn't seem strange that I can't tell them apart.
One of them slowly said:
"Are you stupid? Whose ID did you just take? You forgot so quickly?"
"Kyoto's population isn't nine million, but it's at least ten million. If they were from Kyoto, it wouldn't be a big deal, right?"
"That's not what I'm talking about. Look at this surname, Xi in Kyoto. What other family could it be?"
It was because the six major families were so prestigious that his companions immediately realized what he meant when he just mentioned it.
"That's unlikely, right? If it really is someone from the Xi family, then the person we're holding in the bureau must also be from the Xi family? That's not very realistic."
When the friend thought about it, he realized that it was indeed true.
"Should we ask? It's better to believe something like this than not. If we really offend someone we shouldn't offend, then our careers will be over."
We are not stupid.
This is indeed the case.
However, the other inspector clearly had a different idea.
"It's unrealistic, isn't it? How can it be possible that just anyone we meet is definitely the person we think they are?"
After a pause, he continued:
"Besides, if you want to ask, who can you ask? With such a powerful family, where can we find a way out?"
"You're right, I'm sure."
"What are you going to do with those two girls outside?"
"Let's see what they want to do first. Song Ruming's condition is not stable. If he meets with them, he will get better, which will also be beneficial for closing the case as soon as possible."
The two people hit it off immediately.
After leaving the side room, the two returned to the interrogation room.
Although Song Rushuang could not provide any proof of identity, Xi Yan's casual remark that she forgot to take it did not seem to arouse much suspicion.
Song Rushuang wanted something else.
That is the opportunity to meet Song Ruming.
Fortunately, this is not a particularly difficult thing.
The two inspectors did not make things difficult for them and gave them a chance to visit the prison.
Or, it cannot be called prison visiting.
After all, the Inspectorate can only detain you.
Song Rushuang suddenly felt inexplicably anxious.
Before she was about to meet Song Ruming, she felt that every step she took was extremely heavy.
Sure enough, in the detention room, when the person who opened the door was an unfamiliar middle-aged man, Song Rushuang's heart sank suddenly.
She knew things were getting complicated.
Judging from the clothes this man is wearing, he should be an inspector.
Xi Yan didn't see Song Ruming, so she asked quickly:
"Comrade, where is my brother?"
Inspector Zhang flipped through the information in his hand, then looked up at Xi Yan and Song Rushuang.
He asked uncertainly:
"Are you sure of your relationship with the criminal? Or have you found the wrong person?"
"What does this mean?"
Inspector Zhang said in a deep voice:
"Prisoner Song Ruming just said that he is the only child in his family and he doesn't have any younger sisters."
Xi Yan was surprised, and then turned her inquiring gaze to Song Rushuang.
Naturally, she couldn't understand why Song Ruming did this.
She felt strange. If it was really someone who had nothing to do with her, he would have probably already started to accuse her.
But he happens to be Song Rushuang's biological second brother.
So, even if she thought of something, she couldn't just talk nonsense as she pleased.
Song Rushuang pursed her lips.
She believed that her brother must know that she had returned.
So why did he say that he didn't have a sister? Most likely he knew that she would take care of her own affairs.
Because he knew that his current situation was very bad and he was afraid of dragging Song Rushuang into the quagmire, he simply pretended not to know her.
Inspector Zhang saw that Song Rushuang didn't say anything, so he asked again:
"Little comrade? Did you hear me?"
Song Rushuang raised her head suddenly, organized her words, and then said in a deep voice:
"Although it's a bit inappropriate, I have to admit that I am indeed his sister. I wonder if you can use some coercive means to let me in to see him."
Inspector Zhang's face showed an embarrassment.
It's not just a pretense.
"Logically speaking, this is against the rules. In addition, the prisoner's condition is not stable and he is a target of physical attention."
After a pause, Inspector Zhang said solemnly:
"So, I suggest you don't be impulsive, lest he hurt you."
