Qin Xiaoyu hurried upstairs. The suite door was open, and there were two waiters, one wiping the floor and the other cleaning the bathroom.
"Hey! If you think our house is dirty, then don't come and stay!" Qin Xiaoyu was furious with him.
“I didn’t mean your place was dirty, it’s just…” A Lei tried to explain, but he was really embarrassed. He scratched his head and said, “It is a bit dirty. The cleaning after the renovation wasn’t done properly. If you allow it, they can clean the whole building, no, all four buildings.”
"No need! I'll hire someone if needed. Please have some self-respect!" Qin Xiaoyu roared. The two waiters were terrified and kept their heads down, working even harder.
"Don't be angry. I can call a few more people over from over there. Anyway, Grandpa has hired a lot of people, and he can't possibly use them all," A Lei said dismissively. He still couldn't quite figure out why Qin Xiaoyu was angry.
"Alright, I don't want to waste any more words with you. Now, right now, make them leave my house. If you want to stay, accept all of this. If not, please leave!" Qin Xiaoyu pointed to the door.
"Alright, you can go back now." It was rare for A Lei to be so timid; it was clear he was determined to stay, no matter what.
During dinner time, Qin Xiaoyu informed him that she was going out.
"I don't care, I'll go wherever you go." A Lei was already swaggering to the Zhou family's dining table, eating more than anyone else.
“I think it’s good that A Lei is with him. What if this girl runs into some bad people and gets bullied if she goes out on her own?” Zhou Xing’s mother agreed.
"Exactly, like in a soft sleeper berth, there are only two people, which is very inconvenient for a lone woman."
A Lei looked completely innocent, but his eyes betrayed a teasing intent. Qin Xiaoyu never expected him to flirt so openly, and she kicked him hard under the table in frustration.
"Ouch!" Deng Jianyan cried out and jumped up.
"What's wrong? What's wrong?" Zhou Yue asked anxiously, looking over.
“The little fish kicked me,” Lu Jianyan said, feeling wronged.
"I didn't mean to." Qin Xiaoyu wished she could bury her head in the porridge bowl.
“She did it on purpose.” A Lei still had a sweet smile on his face.
"Xiaoyu! Look, your skin is all scraped. Can you be a little gentler?" Zhou Yue glanced at Deng Jianyan's trousers and scolded Qin Xiaoyu with concern.
“What’s a little scratch on a grown man? Little Fish, don’t bother with them.” Commander Zhou couldn’t stand it anymore.
"Eat, eat." Zhou Xing's mother said, trying to smooth things over.
"You don't need to worry about it, I'll book the tickets. Do you want to take the train or the plane?" A Lei asked seriously.
Qin Xiaoyu thought for a moment. Rather than leaving him at the Zhou family's house, it would be safer to bring him with her. She could only sigh and say, "The train, I still don't like airplanes."
"Okay, you can hold it then." A Lei agreed.
“That’s true. Having someone like that around is better than having a secretary.” Zhou Yue remembered what had just happened and teased A Lei.
"Director Qin, impressive, you have a male secretary now." Everyone laughed at A Lei's words.
Qin Xiaoyu's suitcase was ready at any time; she packed it quickly the night before. She was going to the train station early the next morning; Xiao Chen had already arranged to see them off.
"Where's the ticket?" Qin Xiaoyu asked, still worried.
"Do you think I'm some kind of Taoist priest from Laoshan? I can't teleport," A Lei said, feeling wronged.
Thus, in the 1980s, Qin Xiaoyu enjoyed a service that only became popular in the 21st century: booking train tickets and picking them up at the station.
They headed straight for the sleeper carriage. Qin Xiaoyu noticed that no matter how crowded the hard seats were, there were always a few empty sleeper compartments, just in case.
“Time is too tight, the food truck isn’t prepared, so there aren’t many dishes you like.” As soon as A Lei came out of the Zhou family’s house, he immediately resumed his domineering tone.
Qin Xiaoyu stared at him with wide eyes, thinking, "With this acting skill, he'll definitely earn 60 million in three days."
"Why are you staring at me? I can't eat you." A Lei suddenly leaned down at her, startling her and making her shrink back.
"Who would eat you? You stink!" Qin Xiaoyu pushed him away forcefully.
"It's not necessarily true that you can't eat it. I suggest you give it a try." A Lei grinned mischievously.
"I need to sleep, I'm severely sleep-deprived, don't disturb me." Qin Xiaoyu could hear noises from the next carriage; a woman was laughing loudly. As long as she had neighbors, she could finally relax.
Qin Xiaoyu slept soundly. When she woke up, there was only a lonely little lamp in the carriage. The light was dim. On the opposite bunk, A Lei was breathing very lightly, and he was also fast asleep.
What she fears most is waking up in the middle of the night, having so many things she can't think about, because thinking about them will cause her to lose sleep.
But she couldn't help thinking about it now. Qin Xiaoyu sat up, leaned against the carriage, and stared blankly into space.
More than three years have passed since her rebirth. She has experienced a deeply unforgettable relationship and built her own business from scratch. All these experiences are etched in her heart; these three years have been richer than the twenty years of her previous life.
And over there, the man who's sleeping, desperately wanting to have him—is he truly sincere?
Qin Xiaoyu couldn't help but cast her gaze over there.
A Lei looks charming when he's asleep; his long eyelashes droop down, obscuring his eyes that are about to pounce on her, making him even more adorable.
This was no ordinary man, and whether he was the right person for her, she didn't know.
Thump! A muffled sound, the sound of the neighbor hitting the partition.
"No!" a woman's sweet voice rang out, followed by an embarrassing gasp. Even the train's roar couldn't drown it out.
Qin Xiaoyu wanted to lie back down and pretend to be asleep, but it was too late; A Lei opened his eyes.
"It really was true. I thought I was having a wet dream." A Lei stretched, picked up the cup on the table, and took a few sips of water.
The sounds of collisions from next door have become quite regular.
"Seven minutes."
"What?" Qin Xiaoyu looked at Zhou Xing in confusion.
“I bet he only lasts seven minutes.” Are put the water glass back.
Qin Xiaoyu blushed furiously, wanting nothing more than to slap him against the wall. How dare he bring up such a topic with her, and think she could understand? What embarrassed her most was that he actually did understand!
As if in response to A Lei's words, the next room fell silent with a loud thud. A moment later, someone opened the door and left.
Qin Xiaoyu secretly breathed a sigh of relief and decided to lie down and go to sleep as if nothing had happened.
But A Lei clearly didn't think that way. He put on his shoes and walked to Qin Xiaoyu's shop.
"Is something wrong?" Qin Xiaoyu asked nervously, clutching the blanket tightly.
"It's nothing, I just wanted to see you."
"What's so interesting! Go to sleep!" Qin Xiaoyu had barely finished speaking when she felt herself being squeezed, and A Lei had already lay down next to her.
"Sleep, well said!"
"Go back! Go sleep over there!" Qin Xiaoyu wasn't going to hold back this time. She kicked out, and A Lei, who was already halfway up his body, fell directly to the ground.
There was a knock on the door.
