Chapter 402 Desperate to Marry

Qin Xiaoyu originally didn't want him to get involved and told him to go back first. But he was worried and stayed outside the door. When he heard things getting really out of hand, he came in and started arguing.

"Good job, Qin Xiaoyu!" Director Feng saw Qi Si's cowardice and walked out with his bag in his hand and head down.

Qin Xiaoyu and Qi Si followed closely behind, locking the door to Building 4. They watched as Director Feng walked towards Jing Tian's car.

"What kind of humanity is this? Even I, who's been to prison, can't say such heartless things, and this kid is a college student! I'm not giving this kid up; he won't learn anything good from them!" Qi Si said bitterly.

Qin Xiaoyu knew that with Qi Si around, Director Feng couldn't do anything. Even though she wielded considerable power, she was also extremely protective of her life.

Since ancient times, the weak have feared the strong, the strong have feared the ruthless, and the ruthless have feared the reckless. In the eyes of outsiders, Qi Si was just a hothead.

Qin Xiaoyu watched Jing Tian's car leave before returning to Building One. A Lei was sitting on the sofa in a daze; he quickly stood up when he saw her come in.

“I’ve seen a few women like that; my aunt is one of them,” A Lei said, shaking his head.

"Every family has a few awful relatives." Qin Xiaoyu wasn't in a good mood, but she made an exception and didn't criticize him.

"Want something to drink? Come to my room?" A Lei pressed his advantage.

"No, I'm going back to get some sleep." Qin Xiaoyu wasn't fooled.

"Spend some time with me. I share you with others every day. I thought that living together would give me a chance to be alone, but who would have thought that you would be doing this in front of everyone?" A Lei muttered aggrievedly.

"I did it on purpose, okay?" Qin Xiaoyu said irritably.

"I still want to thank you. I have never experienced such a life before. There is almost no gap between people. At first, I was not used to it, but after I got used to it, I realized that this is what family is. My relatives can only be called blood relatives."

"So your trip wasn't in vain." Qin Xiaoyu stopped and said seriously.

“So this wasn’t a wasted trip? You really don’t know me.” A Lei caught up.

The cake suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and without a word, it jumped up and landed on A Lei's shoulder. A Lei tilted his head and kissed the cake, and the cake tilted its head back and snuggled up to him.

"I feel like you two are a couple. Is the cake your sweetheart from a past life?" Qin Xiaoyu couldn't help but laugh.

"It's a male cat, I don't have that kind of taste." Lei petted the cat, satisfied, and went upstairs to sleep.

Qin Xiaoyu then remembered that she seemed to have been robbed by a cat.

Early on the sixth day of the Lunar New Year, Hanhan's grandmother knocked on Qin Xiaoyu's door.

"Mom, what's wrong?" Qin Xiaoyu groggily knocked on the door, then yawned and climbed back into bed.

"Did Jingtian come looking for me again yesterday? I was watching from the window, but I didn't dare go downstairs." This was what Grandma Hanhan was worried about.

"Yes, Director Feng said that Wenwen and Jingtian should get back together, take the child over, and live together as a family of three. What a wishful thinking, haha."

"That's great! Go and persuade Wenwen. It's true happiness to have the whole family together again, isn't it?" Grandma Hanhan was actually quite amused, which made Qin Xiaoyu feel terrible.

"Mom, please don't do this. Our Wenwen isn't a piece of clothing that you can wear and throw away as you please!" Qin Xiaoyu was already exasperated.

“I didn’t mean that. They’re practically begging us, so it’s only right that we give them a little something. We shouldn’t agree right away. But it’s not enough to just keep them hanging. Look at that guy surnamed Jiang, he left without a word. He must have dumped Wenwen. What will happen to Wenwen if Jingtian takes her away too?” Grandma Hanhan was genuinely concerned for Tang Wenwen, but this was just too despicable.

"I disagree. Wenwen won't be happy marrying him!" Qin Xiaoyu's face darkened.

“Xiaoyu, we might think differently about whether this is happiness or not. I think that since both of them have a child, they should get married. Ever since Wenwen gave birth, I’ve been worried that one day people would find out and gossip about her. Now it’s all good…”

"Mom, you don't need to worry about me. I'll live out my days alone, let thousands of people curse me, but I'll never go back to Jingtian. Don't worry." Tang Wenwen walked in, her face pale and her eyes swollen, as if she had been crying all night.

"Wenwen, come sit down." Qin Xiaoyu pulled her to her side with heartache.

“Sister-in-law, you have to stand up for me. If you keep chasing him away, I won’t accept him. The more you do that, the less I can accept it.”

"Okay, just hearing your word is enough. I support you."

"Little Fish, don't be foolish. To put it bluntly, if this ruins Wenwen's life, don't blame me for hating you." Hearing the two sisters-in-law becoming more and more determined, Grandma Hanhan became really anxious.

Tang Wenwen is always opinionated and can't be persuaded, so she can only put pressure on Qin Xiaoyu.

"Mom! What are you saying? How has my sister-in-law treated you? You hate her? Do you even have the right? You're so ungrateful! If you hate her, move out right now!" Tang Wenwen angrily berated her, leaving Grandma Hanhan feeling utterly humiliated.

"This child, I just said that in the heat of the moment. I'm only doing this for your own good!"

"I don't need your 'good intentions'. With you saying that, I have no face to stay in this house anymore. Move out, everyone!" Tang Wenwen said sternly.

"What's all this noise so early in the morning?" Zhou Xing's mother walked in, having probably overheard a few words in the hallway. She noticed that Hanhan's grandmother wasn't as warm as usual.

"It's alright, it's alright. I'm just a rough person, and I don't always speak properly. Little Yu, please don't hold it against me." Grandma Hanhan regretted what she had just said and quickly took back her words.

"Mom, everyone has a heart. I'm giving you my heart, but I don't mean for you to hurt me unconditionally, or to stab me whenever you want. I hope you'll be more careful next time, and that I won't forgive you every time." Qin Xiaoyu gave her a direct warning.

Some people shouldn't be indulged, especially someone like Grandma Hanhan, who takes advantage of kindness and becomes arrogant.

"I understand, I won't do it again. I'll go downstairs to set the table, you all come down for dinner." Grandma Hanhan took off downstairs.

"Xiaoyu, don't be angry. Your mother-in-law is sometimes clear-headed and sometimes confused. She's just protective of her daughter." After saying that, Zhou Xing's mother went downstairs. She wouldn't be happy if she didn't say a few words to Hanhan's grandmother.

"Sister-in-law, it's really unfair to you to be with these people. Why do you have to gather them all around you?"

"I'm doing this because of my wife. She's so old and she's always been so good to me. Also, as you said, Hanhan is a member of the Tang family. That's his foundation."

"Sister-in-law, back then I was still a staunch non-marriage advocate. How did I become so bewitched?" Tang Wenwen sighed heavily.

"Wenwen, come down quickly, quick!" Grandma Hanhan's panting voice came from the corridor.
