"Mom, why didn't you call me! If you twist your waist again, you're not allowed to leave the house!" Tang Fengqin scolded, snatching the roll of paper and placing it horizontally on the table.
"Aunt Wang, are you here to work?"
“Yes, my son isn’t home, so I have to help my daughter-in-law. This girl is stubborn; she insists on setting up the studio herself first, so I’ll help her.” Commander Wang took off her gauze scarf, and Tang Fengqin came over to help her tuck her messy hair in, then brought a towel to wipe her face.
Qin Xiaoyu then noticed that Commander Wang's usually meticulously groomed face was not wearing any makeup.
Commander Wang looks a bit older without makeup, but he has become even more charming.
"Fengqin, your father said he'll bring the colored ink over later and we can't go pick it up." Commander Wang drank some water and calmed down.
"If you need to haul anything, just go to the factory and arrange for a vehicle. I'll talk to Director Xie," Qin Xiaoyu said with concern.
“I’m having Fengqin learn to drive. I’ll just buy her one; the clothing factory is short of vehicles,” Commander Wang said with a smile.
"Auntie, you go ahead and do your work. I don't have anything to do here." Tang Fengqin knew she was a very busy person.
"I'm going to Guangzhou. What do you want to bring for Wang Lei?" Qin Xiaoyu asked, a little embarrassed. Everyone knew exactly why she was going to Guangzhou.
"Go to Guangzhou? That would be wonderful." The mother and daughter exchanged a glance and smiled.
The door was kicked open with a bang.
The three women in the room stared at the doorway as if they had seen a ghost. When the drunken Jing Tian entered, he was the first to enter.
"Why are you here? Get out of here!" Commander Wang rushed forward and shielded Tang Fengqin and Qin Xiaoyu behind him.
"Why can't I come? I came to see the bride." Jing Tian swayed unsteadily, unable to stand any longer, and slumped into a chair.
Commander Wang turned around, grabbed a mop, pointed it at Jing Tian, and kept him from moving around.
"Qin Xiaoyu, Qin Xiaoyu, I hate you the most. If you hadn't stopped me from taking my son, Wang Lei wouldn't have been in this situation!" Jing Tian said, his eyes barely open, his words slurred.
"What kind of absurd logic is that! You brought this mess on yourself, who are you blaming? You blame everything on others, your life is ruined because of this!" Commander Wang was so angry that he was trembling all over, and he really wanted to tear Jing Tian to pieces.
"Aunt Wang, don't be angry. If he won't leave, let's go outside and call the police," Qin Xiaoyu said as she walked towards the door.
Jing Tian suddenly stood up, leaned towards the door, and blocked her way.
"Don't leave! Give me back my son! I can't have any more sons; he's our only child. Give him back to me!"
Qin Xiaoyu now understood that when Director Feng frantically snatched the child, he already knew Jing Tian was sick. But were they conspiring to frame Tang Wenwen, trying to send her into a fire pit?
It's terrifying to think about; this family is simply inhuman, it's horrifying!
Jing Tian blocked the doorway, preventing the people inside from getting out. The phone line hadn't been connected, and they had no cell phones; they were trapped.
They all knew the dangers of the virus in Jing Tian's body. They exchanged a glance and understood that self-defense was the most important thing now.
Commander Wang protected Tang Fengqin and took a few steps back. Qin Xiaoyu didn't dare to get too close to him either, and followed him back, looking for an opportunity to leave.
Because it's a ground-floor shop, security windows have been installed for burglar prevention, so you can't go out through the windows.
Jing Tian lay on the cold ground for a while, and seemed to wake up a bit. He staggered toward getting up.
Tang Fengqin had been watching his every move intently. He had just stood up when suddenly his legs gave way and he fell back down. Tang Fengqin couldn't help but scream, and Commander Wang reached out to put his arm around his daughter-in-law to comfort her.
Qin Xiaoyu had already locked onto a chair; if he dared to come any closer, she would chop it down.
Just then, Tian Tian ran over, carrying a bowl of hot soup, which was for Tang Fengqin. The hairdressing school often improved the meals, and Tian Tian was thinking of Tang Fengqin.
"Open the door, open the door, the soup is here!" Tian Tian, whose hands were busy, nudged the door with her shoulder.
The door had barely opened a crack when Jing Tian forcefully pushed it back in, causing Tian Tian to drop the bowl from her hand, splashing soup everywhere, and Tian Tian screamed.
"Tian Tian, call the police! Quick!" Qin Xiaoyu shouted loudly.
"What are you reporting!" Jing Tian was enraged and swayed as he approached the three of them.
The door was kicked open, and an old woman rushed in.
"Grandma..." Jing Tian had just called out when his grandma hit him on the head with a stick, and his body went limp and collapsed.
I don't know where the old lady got the strength, but she dragged him outside.
Qin Xiaoyu had met her maternal grandmother once before. This was the nanny who had raised Jingtian since he was a child, and it was said that she had the final say in her family.
"We should eat the fruit we grow ourselves; we can't let it harm others." That was all Grandma left behind.
The three of them then realized that their legs were weak, and they helped each other to sit down, their faces ashen.
Seeing their frightened expressions, Tian Tian called Qi Si.
"He dares to cause trouble here? I'll kill him!" Qi Si exploded on the spot.
"Brother, no, no! No!" Qin Xiaoyu was terrified. If someone said they would kill him, it was probably just a threat.
But when Qi Si says he'll kill someone, he really means it!
He'll soon have both a son and a daughter; there's no need for him to have any more lives on his hands.
Qin Xiaoyu tried his best to persuade Qi Si, and managed to calm him down. Still not entirely at ease, he called two of his brothers over to keep watch over the perimeter of the garment factory.
“Auntie, when you go to Guangzhou, don’t mention these things to Jingtian. He’ll worry. Let him stay there in peace.”
Qin Xiaoyu watched as she grew from a weak and frail little girl into a responsible woman, and she felt genuine admiration for her.
Ding Xiaojie had already booked the train tickets. The only way to get to Guangzhou from here is by train; to fly, you need to transfer. Qin Xiaoyu felt that waiting at the airport was not as good as taking the train to catch up on sleep, as she was always sleep-deprived.
Perhaps because Qin Xiaoyu was going to Guangzhou, the house suddenly became lively. Everyone was in high spirits, their usual gloom gone.
Everyone gathered around breakfast time, chatting and laughing.
Qin Xiaoyu could tell how much everyone wanted A Lei to come back; this guy really had a good reputation.
"That's more like it. You're busy all day long. If you weren't busy, the earth would stop turning." Commander Zhou rarely had a good expression.
"Something terrible has happened!" Grandma Hanhan rushed in, her voice trembling.
"What's all the fuss about? Speak properly!" Hanhan's grandfather was annoyed by her behavior and quickly gave her a meaningful look.
"Two big bulldozers came in and drove into our yard, and they ripped up your grape trellis!"
Before Grandma Hanhan could finish speaking, Grandpa Hanhan couldn't sit still any longer. He took off running outside, with Commander Zhou close behind. That was their hard work.
Qin Xiaoyu frowned and stood up. The two buildings ahead were under construction; perhaps the new workers on the site didn't know the rules and had gone to the wrong place.
She walked to the door and saw a bulldozer rumbling towards Building 1. What was going on?
