The emcee was Wang Lei. This wasn't his first time hosting a wedding. He was quick-witted and witty, making even the serious guests smile.
Qin Xiaoyu glanced at the table. Bai Weiwei sat upright, the chubby boy in her arms squirming restlessly, seemingly uncomfortable. He grunted a few times, then suddenly opened his mouth. Bai Weiwei reacted quickly, pressing her hand against the child's mouth and holding it tightly, daring not to let go despite the child's painful squirming.
Zuo Xiangyang's gaze was piercing, fixed on her, waiting for her to make a mistake.
Qin Xiaoyu couldn't help but sigh.
"Are you tired? Go sit down." A Lei gently put his arm around her shoulder with concern.
"It's okay." Qin Xiaoyu raised her face and smiled happily.
A Lei had previously said that the ceremony should be kept as short as possible, to avoid tiring Qin Xiaoyu. Qin Xiaoyu didn't know if Bai Jingye's side had managed to get any shots, but she was dragged around taking photos with everyone.
The banquet was a buffet style. Lei Bingzheng originally wanted a Chinese style, but Lei Bingzheng flatly refused, as he didn't want Qin Xiaoyu to go around toasting people at each table.
Although she was spared the trouble of toasting, Qin Xiaoyu still came out and walked around in a traditional Chinese dress.
It was originally agreed that the new house would be Lei's room in the villa. However, after Lei Bingzheng rearranged things, the new house was moved to his villa.
A Lei also has a room here, which is even bigger than the one in Building 1. Qin Xiaoyu doesn't care about these details, as long as A Lei is happy.
The wedding ended very early.
"Let's go, don't bother them." Zhou Yue blinked. Qin Xiaoyu sidled up to pinch her, but Deng Jianyan stopped her.
"Sis, you even brought bodyguards!"
“You have a bodyguard now.” Are standing beside her.
"You should get some rest. Xiaoyu didn't sleep well last night," Zhou Xing's mother said, worried.
After seeing her relatives off, Qin Xiaoyu returned to the new house with A Lei.
"Tired? I'll let you off this time. Get a good afternoon's sleep, and we'll work late into the night," A Lei said with ill intent.
Qin Xiaoyu knew what he meant and was grateful for his thoughtfulness. She was exhausted and desperately needed sleep.
A Lei went straight to the suite without entering the new room. Qin Xiaoyu took a shower. When choosing pajamas, she hesitated for a moment, tried on the pajamas that Tang Wenwen had brought, and then changed into another, more conservative linen pajama.
While blow-drying her hair, the warm air made her sway precariously on the dressing stool. When her hair was almost dry, she climbed onto the big bed on all fours and quickly fell asleep.
I slept soundly for ages, not knowing when I'd wake up. It was a moment of relaxation after finishing everything; my tense nerves finally loosened up.
She didn't know how much time had passed, but in a hazy state, she felt her body getting hot, and a hand was roaming over her body.
She snorted and tried to raise her hand to stop them, but her body felt weak and she couldn't muster any strength; she was still asleep and couldn't wake up.
"Alright, my bride, wake up, I can't wait any longer," A'Lei whispered in her ear.
"Hmm?" Qin Xiaoyu groaned and stretched, feeling so comfortable. She stretched her arms out from under the covers.
Huh? What's with those shiny white arms? And where's that long-sleeved linen nightgown? Startled, she quickly shrank under the covers, one hand clutching her chest, the other frantically groping around inside.
I was trying to find the bathrobe, but what I touched was clearly Are's firm and supple body...
Qin Xiaoyu panicked; she wanted to escape.
A Lei has already squeezed in.
"Ready?" Are asked, climbing over onto his back.
"No..." Qin Xiaoyu seemed to have spoken too late. She let out a soft moan and turned her head to bite A Lei's arm.
A Lei seemed to sense something and became even gentler. However, the light in the room was too dim, and he didn't see the tears in Qin Xiaoyu's eyes.
“Little fish, baby…” he whispered in her ear, “If you keep whining, I’m going to eat you up.”
Qin Xiaoyu felt like a million alpacas were running through her mind. This feeling was completely different from what Zhou Yue had described. Was this what she called enjoyment? Marriage was truly boring.
Time seemed to stand still. Finally, when A Lei let go, Qin Xiaoyu rolled off the bed and darted into the bathroom, refusing to come out.
"Little Fish, are you alright?" A Lei asked worriedly as he knocked on the door.
"It's nothing..." Qin Xiaoyu swallowed the rest of her sentence. Nothing my foot! She was about to cry.
"Should we call a doctor over...?" A Lei seemed to realize that the situation was a bit serious.
"Call a doctor? Why?" Qin Xiaoyu panicked. Calling a doctor on their wedding night would be a scandal that would rock the whole city. She didn't want that!
"Let's call a doctor, I think..." A Lei's voice already lacked confidence.
Afraid that he would actually make that damn phone call, Qin Xiaoyu grabbed a bath towel and wrapped it around herself, then flung open the bathroom door.
A Lei was holding the bed sheet, lost in thought.
"What are you looking at! Haven't you ever seen this before!" Qin Xiaoyu angrily pulled the soiled bed sheet over and threw it into the bathroom.
“I think I understand now.” Are said suddenly, “You said you were reborn, so, so you’ve always refused…”
"Don't say it!" Qin Xiaoyu pushed him onto the bed forcefully, grabbed a pillow and pressed it against his mouth. A Lei struggled, but Qin Xiaoyu pressed harder and harder.
"Little fish, little fish, stop messing around! You're really going to kill me, my life..." A Lei's limbs twitched, then he suddenly collapsed and stopped moving.
"What's wrong with you? Are you okay? Wake up!" Qin Xiaoyu panicked, straddled him, and slapped him twice across the face.
A Lei remained motionless, as if he had stopped breathing. Qin Xiaoyu knew some first aid basics, so she pressed hard on his chest and pinched his nose, trying to perform artificial respiration.
Qin Xiaoyu noticed his lips twitch slightly and realized she'd been tricked. She was about to pull another pillow over when A Lei pulled her down onto the bed.
"Alright, I know you've had a hard time. Get some sleep. I'm letting you go." A Lei hugged Qin Xiaoyu tightly. She didn't want to struggle anymore and suddenly felt very at ease.
When Qin Xiaoyu opened her eyes again, she only heard the chirping of birds outside the window. Lei Bing had just chosen a nice house for himself; it was extremely quiet.
A Lei was still fast asleep, his long eyelashes drooping. Qin Xiaoyu looked at him closely for a while and thought, "How can he be so handsome?"
She tiptoed out of bed and changed into a bathrobe. She knew there were many female staff members in the building, and it would be awkward to run into them outside.
If she hadn't been so hungry, she wouldn't have gone downstairs again.
Strangely, even after walking all the way to the kitchen, I didn't see a single person.
Qin Xiaoyu pouted and stared blankly at the refrigerator for a while. There were many things inside, but she didn't know what to eat. Her mind seemed frozen.
"Are you hungry? Why didn't you call me?" A Lei came downstairs, shirtless and wearing only a pair of boxer shorts.
"Your arm..." Qin Xiaoyu rushed to his side, pulled up his arm to examine it closely. What was this? A red ring, and scabs...
