"No, he said he loves me, he said he won't marry anyone else but me, he wants me to wait..." Tang Wenwen couldn't even convince herself anymore, and her voice grew softer and softer.
"You silly girl." Qin Xiaoyu patted Tang Wenwen's shoulder affectionately.
"Then let's wait and see. Even if you make up your mind to break up, you won't be able to let go." Qin Xiaoyu was also helpless, advising reconciliation rather than separation.
"But, but..." Tang Wenwen hesitated, unable to finish her sentence.
"But what? There's something you're hiding from me?" Qin Xiaoyu really wanted to beat Tang Wenwen up; that's what she meant by being disappointed in her.
"His family wants him to date Bai Weiwei, but he said he'll just go along with it for now..."
"What! What do you mean 'deal with it first'? Are you stupid?" Qin Xiaoyu poked Tang Wenwen with her finger, making her wince in pain.
"Sister-in-law, what should I do?" Tang Wenwen sobbed uncontrollably.
"His car is downstairs?" Qin Xiaoyu, with her sharp eyes, still managed to spot it.
"They're here to pick me up. They're rehearsing in a bit, and I want to go watch. Never mind, sister-in-law, let's listen to him and talk about it later." Tang Wenwen wiped away her tears and prepared to go downstairs.
"Wait here, I'm going." Qin Xiaoyu strode downstairs, and Tang Wenwen reached out to stop her, but then let her hand fall heavily to the ground.
Jing Tian sat in the driver's seat, his hair had grown a bit long and he wasn't as handsome as before. Zhou Xing in the passenger seat also looked half-dead. When they saw Qin Xiaoyu rushing over angrily, they both sat up straight.
"Jing Tian, get out." Qin Xiaoyu said coldly, and Jing Tian hurriedly opened the car door and jumped out.
Why don't you go upstairs?
"My mom sometimes comes over, and I'm afraid..."
"What are you afraid of? Afraid that your mom will dislike Wenwen?"
"Sister-in-law, don't be like this. Wenwen and I can't resolve this in a day or two. Let's take it slow." Jing Tian was smart enough to try and stall for time before slipping away.
"Heh, don't talk to me about that. Give me the truth today, when can you bring Wenwen to meet your parents? Right now, it's just your guess that they will object, not that you've actually heard the news. Giving Wenwen a proper status first, it's not that hard, is it?" Qin Xiaoyu directly challenged him.
"No, don't tell her yet. It'll be better if my mom accepts it slowly." Jing Tian panicked and waved his hands repeatedly.
"Really? I have a feeling you want to run away? I heard you're going to find someone?" Qin Xiaoyu narrowed her eyes, a cold glint in them that made Jing Tian shiver and involuntarily look away.
Qin Xiaoyu was utterly disappointed. People are often blinded by their own perspectives. If only she had been as insightful in her previous life, she would have mastered psychology courses. She could only see others and couldn't see her own path.
Jing Tian's behavior tells her that his feelings for Tang Wenwen have faded. After the initial novelty wears off, he is under pressure from reality and may have to sacrifice Tang Wenwen.
"Sister-in-law, you should go back." Tang Wenwen came over at some point and pleaded softly. It turned out that the domineering young woman was gone.
"Wenwen, let's not get rid of this man." Qin Xiaoyu turned to look at Tang Wenwen and said, word by word.
"Okay." Tang Wenwen was stunned for a moment, bit her lip, and tears streamed down her face. She used all her strength to squeeze out a single word.
"Wenwen, stop it! I've told you, don't be unreasonable, let's resolve this slowly..." Jing Tian became irritated.
"Shut up!" Qin Xiaoyu stood on tiptoe and slapped Jing Tian hard across the face, leaving two bloody marks on his face with her sharp nails.
Jing Tian covered his face and took a few steps back. Seeing that things were not going well, Zhou Xing quickly jumped out of the car.
"Are you crazy!" Jing Tian raised his hand and wiped it, his hand covered in blood, and he shouted angrily.
"I'm not crazy, you're the one who's crazy! How dare you mess with my sister! I'll make you understand that you've messed with someone you shouldn't! If Wenwen isn't happy for the rest of her life, I'll make you pay with your life!"
Qin Xiaoyu roared, her small stature suddenly becoming like a mountain, pressing down heavily. She stared intently into Jing Tian's eyes, not blinking.
Zhou Xing dragged Jing Tian to the passenger seat, shoved him in, and slammed the door shut. He then ran over, got in, started the engine, and drove off with a sharp whoosh.
"Sister-in-law..." Tang Wenwen threw herself into Qin Xiaoyu's arms and burst into tears.
Qin Xiaoyu knew that she had gone a bit too far today, but if she hadn't, Tang Wenwen would have really lost everything in this protracted battle that she was destined to lose. Youth is too short, and she couldn't afford to lose.
I've already torn off more than a dozen pages from the 1984 calendar. This year, Lunar New Year's Eve is February 1st, so it's early. The Spring Festival has always been an important holiday for Chinese people, so the period before the festival sees the largest flow of people between the north and south, making it the best time for advertising.
People weren't wealthy back then, and when they traveled, they always brought back some local specialties. They wouldn't even eat the free sunflower seeds on the train; they would carry them back to their hometowns over mountains and valleys. Qin Xiaoyu believed that her New Century Hairdressing School would soon become famous throughout the country.
“Once these meat buns are thrown out, none of them will come back.” Master Wang was also panicking.
"Master, think about it, everyone is going home for the Chinese New Year now, who would want to go to another city to learn hairdressing at this time? So don't rush."
"Then let's wait until spring to release the advertisement."
“Now is the time when people from both the north and south are traveling the most. If we miss this opportunity, it will be too late.” Qin Xiaoyu’s thinking became clearer and clearer. She had already seen the future. She predicted that the hairdressing school would see a peak in enrollment in April.
Although the school is barely operating, the shop is incredibly busy. Everyone wants to get their hair done before the New Year; it's a tradition.
Fortunately, several students are already able to do odd jobs, and the part-time teachers all get along well and are willing to lend a hand. They all know Qin Xiaoyu's personality and won't let them down, so their income has always been quite good.
