"This isn't my child." Qin Xiaoyu blocked the entrance, preventing the boy from going in.
"Pull!" The boy panicked and charged forward like a madman.
The ticket collectors had seen it all before and were quick-witted; they wouldn't let him run wild, so they grabbed him by the collar and dragged him out.
"Who the hell is this, you bastard!"
"Come on, come on! It costs a lot of money! Let's go ride the rocking horse!" The boy's mother tried to pull him back when she saw that they couldn't go in.
"No! Buy me a ticket! I want to go in!" The boy immediately reached into his mother's pocket.
"I won't give you the money for the rice!" The boy's mother panicked, clutching her bag and refusing to hand it over. The boy kicked and hit his mother, and the two started fighting...
Qin Xiaoyu grabbed the two children and ran away; this was inappropriate for children.
Emerging from the space roaming adventure, the situation outside was rather tense, with a group of people huddled together. Qin Xiaoyu, the most observant, squeezed in to peek and saw the mother and son still fighting, their faces and clothes covered in dirt, locked in a fierce struggle. It seemed the boy wasn't going to give up on the space roaming adventure today.
Wow, this feels like the climax of my life! Qin Xiaoyu felt so good; she finally got revenge for the kid who was bullied at the rocking horse playground. Parents like that need to be disciplined, otherwise their bratty kids will grow up to be a menace to society.
"What else do we want to play?" A Lei asked for their opinions.
"Go buy it, use my allowance." Hanhan pointed into the distance, and Qin Xiaoyu understood. He wanted to repay the old lady who had just given it to his little sister.
Although the gift was very thin, it was a generous gift for the old woman who was struggling to make a living.
They arrived at the rocking horse, only to find that the old woman was gone, replaced by a man selling colored toys.
His were much prettier than the old lady's, with vibrant colors, though the colors themselves were somewhat questionable.
"Mom, look!" Hanhan pointed to the side with her sharp eyes. Qin Xiaoyu then noticed that the old lady's stall had been moved to a corner. Her business was already bad, and now it was even more deserted. People would glance at it and then turn around and walk towards the colorful stall.
"Grandma, I want four." Qin Xiaoyu ran over.
The old woman clearly didn't remember what had just happened, and quickly got busy when she saw customers arrive.
"Grandma, colored ones sell well, why don't you sell colored ones?" Qin Xiaoyu asked curiously.
"The color he uses is for dyeing clothes. I can't let it harm children. I'll just have to make less money." The old woman sighed. This was still a conscientious merchant. Qin Xiaoyu was deeply moved.
"Mom, he used dye for clothes, won't that hurt people?" Hanhan asked anxiously.
"It's not food coloring, so it's definitely bad for your health." Many people still don't have the awareness to guard against it, and since it's only once in a while and in small amounts, the harm isn't too great. But it's obvious that honest people are the ones who suffer.
Two girls walked over from the opposite side, each holding one, their lips stained red and green. The old woman shook her head repeatedly when she saw them.
The girls looked at the family, each holding a white one, with disdain in their eyes.
Qin Xiaoyu thought to herself, "Damn it, these people are eating poison and looking down on those who don't. It's ridiculous."
"Hanhan, do you want to help Grandma?" A Lei squatted down in front of his younger sister and asked the two siblings.
"Yes!" The younger sister nodded first, and Hanhan had already begun to think seriously.
“Let’s buy a lot, so Grandma can make a lot of money!” the younger sister said first.
“We can’t come here to buy every day. What will Grandma do if we can’t come?” Qin Xiaoyu continued to pose a difficult question to her.
"We can help Grandma buy natural dyes. She needs to improve her technique to attract real customers," Hanhan came up with an idea.
“We can also help Grandma make it look even better,” the younger sister suggested, adding her own ideas.
The promised amusement park trip turned into a poverty alleviation event. A Lei and his two children decided to take advantage of the old woman's machine. Surprisingly, with a little trickery, the resulting creature wasn't just a chubby little blob anymore.
Qin Xiaoyu made several bouquets based on 21st-century styles. Although they were still white, they looked much better. Curious customers bought a few, and the old lady's sales gradually picked up.
"Mom, I've been to the amusement park many times, but today was the happiest. Why?" Hanhan asked with a furrowed brow on the way home.
"Because today our whole family is together," the younger sister replied immediately.
Qin Xiaoyu looked at A Lei and smiled. But she had another answer in her heart, because before, when Hanhan and her little sister went out to play, she rarely accompanied them; it was always Commander Zhou and his wife or other people.
It turns out that being with your children and watching them grow little by little every day is the true meaning of companionship.
Isn't she also growing? It's just that this growth is brought about by A Lei.
These days, Ah Lei teaches them Cantonese whenever he has the chance. Qin Xiaoyu is doing well, but if the two children transfer to our school later, they will be ostracized if they don't speak Cantonese.
A couple of days ago, my younger sister was playing at the door when she met three little girls of similar age. Children need to live in groups, and my sister wanted to join them, but she was rejected because she spoke Mandarin, which made her very sad.
“Next time you encounter this situation, just speak English,” A Lei taught her.
"Do all these children speak English?" Qin Xiaoyu felt uneasy.
“Children living here generally receive a good education, and many of them speak English. Even if they don’t speak English, my sister will be more respected if she speaks English than Mandarin,” A Lei explained to her. Qin Xiaoyu pondered this and realized that what he said made sense.
"Why is it that speaking English is more useful than speaking Mandarin in our country?" the younger sister protested.
“That’s because we’re not strong enough. Only the strong can set the rules and make others adapt to them,” A Lei said patiently.
"From now on, I want to be the one who sets the rules too." Deep down, the younger sister still possessed Qin Xiaoyu's determination.
“I have faith in you. I hope that one day I will follow your rules. Keep trying, baby.” Ale leaned down and kissed her hair, ending the conversation.
"You're amazing, I'm starting to admire you now." When they returned to their private time that evening, Qin Xiaoyu immediately pounced on her in a coquettish manner.
“Fooling.” A Lei’s Northeastern accent is getting more and more authentic.
"Honestly, you're much more successful at raising your child than I am. I want to learn from you." Qin Xiaoyu said as she snuggled into his arms and casually loosened the belt of her bathrobe.
“I’ve been thinking about something: if we only have Hanhan and Xiaomei, is that enough?” A Lei picked up Qin Xiaoyu and placed her on the bed, letting her sit with her legs dangling down. He knelt opposite her, looked her straight in the eyes, and said earnestly.
"You don't want our child anymore?" Qin Xiaoyu was inexplicably hurt.
