Chapter 778 Let's have some fun

"I told you we should go to a hotel, but you guys were too lazy to move," Qi Si complained again.

"Next time, next time." Zhou Xing's mother sat down on the sofa. Qi Si put the little heart on the ground and immediately ran to Zhou Xing's mother, climbing all over her.

Almost every child adored Zhou Xing's mother; she seemed to possess a certain allure. Qin Xiaoyu looked at her and couldn't help but smile. How could life be happy without such an angel?

"Mom, this..." Qin Xiaoyu's eyes widened, and she gestured with her hand across her neck.

Zhou Xing's mother was wearing a heavy gold chain, weighing at least eight ounces, which made it difficult for her to lift her head.

"My fourth son bought it for me. I said I didn't want it, but he insisted on buying it," Zhou Xing's mother said proudly.

Qin Xiaoyu had always been familiar with Zhou Xing's mother's taste in clothing. Born into a prestigious family, she naturally possessed an air of elegance. Who would have thought she would be seen wearing such a large gold chain?

In Qi Si's eyes, gold was the best, and the heavier the better.

Everyone says that Qi Si coaxes her to be happy, but hasn't she also coaxed Si'er?

"What are you grinning about? Go upstairs and get some sleep." Zhou Xing's mother was urging her upstairs.

The doorbell rang, and A Lei immediately jumped up and rushed to the door. Little Jiajia was sleeping upstairs.

When Zhou Yue's large entourage entered, Qin Xiaoyu knew she wouldn't be able to sleep anymore. The three little ones were all walking steadily now. Zhou Yue had tied ropes to their wrists, and even so, she and the nanny were both sweating profusely.

Having two children and having three children doesn't mean there's a difference of one; the trouble they create is doubled.

Mrs. Fang and Mrs. Fang came over together after waking up from their afternoon nap. The two are now inseparable companions, whispering to each other, having their own little secrets. They are not as sociable as before, and are a little proud.

Grandpa Hanhan and Commander Zhou went to pick up Little Sister and Lisheng from school. They tidied up outside the yard, but Qin Xiaoyu still guessed it from the little chocolate on Little Sister's lips.

"Did you sneak some ice cream again?"

"Just one." Commander Zhou fell for it and immediately confessed.

Qin Xiaoyu sighed inwardly, "Are you still the same Commander Zhou? How can you be so fragile?"

Lisheng has grown quite a bit taller, now taller than Qin Xiaoyu. Because of his business, he appears much more mature than other children his age.

He himself also required to dress more maturely, and usually styled his hair in a side part. His hair was thin and yellow, and when he styled it in a side part, it would stick to his scalp. He was only missing a small mustache; otherwise, he would have looked exactly like a Shaoxing clerk.

Seeing him made Qin Xiaoyu miss Hanhan even more. She must have grown taller by now, and she wondered if Hanhan was taller than her.

Commander Wang and his family came together. Wang Lei's father was holding his grandson and wouldn't give him to anyone.

Tang Fengqin's figure has almost fully recovered. Thanks to the good care she received during her postpartum period, she looks even more radiant than before. Wang Lei even used her as a model for a set of posters a few days ago, and the results were excellent.

They're all busy at the advertising company now, so they rarely get to come over.

"Oh my, the little one has outshone all of us! We're all ugly, how come you're so beautiful!" Zhou Yue went over and rubbed the little one's face a few times, and Wang Lei's father immediately hugged him away with heartache.

"He's like a thief, always guarding against us. We can't even touch him, not even close relatives are allowed. What 'grandmother' or 'mother'? They're all stepmothers! The only real grandfather is Zhou Xing's grandfather!" Commander Wang scolded as he went to find Zhou Xing's mother in the back.

"You haven't come over all day," Zhou Xing's mother said, as she came out to greet them.

"Business is so busy, I have to hire more people. Now that everything is settled, I'm coming to you with my grandson to enjoy my retirement." Commander Wang took her arm, and the two went aside to whisper to each other.

Fourth Sister-in-law brought Xiao Zhengxin along; she drove directly to the kindergarten to pick up the child. They had originally planned to send Xiao Xinxin to kindergarten too, but Qi Si couldn't bear to, and the date kept getting postponed until everyone was at a loss.

Deng Jianyan arrived last. There was a very difficult patient, but he was patient and explained things to him sentence by sentence.

The current system of limiting the number of patients is no longer effective. Some patients from other places refuse to leave, and some even take advantage of the hot weather in Guangzhou to sleep on the ground outside his hospital.

"Let's find a house for your brother-in-law, expand the clinic, and turn it into a private hospital," Qin Xiaoyu suggested.

"I also want to train a few apprentices so that I can treat as many people as I can do it myself. Making money is secondary; it's good to be able to help more patients."

Despite gaining fame, Deng Jianyan remained steadfast in his conscience and became even more diligent. He personally oversaw the quality of Chinese medicine, fearing the arrival of substandard products. After seeing patients, he would personally prepare the medicine, and he grew increasingly thin, his eyes becoming sunken, giving him the air of a revered, almost otherworldly, healer.

"I used to think that if Lisheng didn't do well in his studies, he could follow in his father's footsteps and study medicine. But now it seems that's not going to work," Zhou Yue said with a hint of pride. Lisheng's achievements have now reached a higher level.

"What's the rush? What about your three? I don't believe none of them want to be doctors. No rush. Your brother-in-law is in good health. He can take on a few apprentices first to share the burden." As Qin Xiaoyu spoke, she turned around and noticed that her sister-in-law's attire was different from usual.

The original fourth sister-in-law had a truly baffling sense of style; back in her hometown, she was known for her unfashionable clothing.

She dared to wear any color, and even after getting married and not lacking money, she still insisted on buying cheap goods from street vendors. She was always looking for bargains at Hengchang, bringing home everything, except for the fashionable clothes from Riyue Clothing, which she found strange and unsuitable for human wear, only good as decorations.

She's completely different now. She's wearing a light gray suit, her makeup is very light and almost invisible, and her hair is neatly combed back, revealing her fair and smooth forehead. Although she just has a simple ponytail, her temperament is still there.

"Fourth Sister-in-law, you look beautiful in this outfit."
