Chapter 845 Now they're behaving themselves.

"I can't take this anymore! This is revolutionary work, not wrangling! What exactly do you want?!" Director Chen angrily pushed the plate away and said, word by word, "Let me make this clear to you. Here's the situation. Some of the owners of the land you want don't want to sell, so either you take a few scattered plots, or you go to the suburbs and rebuild."

“I’m sorry, I can’t accept either of these two points. The earliest Little Sun Clothing was the predecessor of Sun Moon Clothing, and we already have a foundation. The losses from relocating the factory would be too great. We can’t just abandon the new dormitories and warehouses we invested in last year; that would be a waste.”

“You can’t have whatever you want in this world. You’re an adult, and I hope you can be more rational, otherwise I really can’t talk to you.”

Director Chen's voice grew louder and louder. She wanted to create the illusion that Qin Xiaoyu was being unreasonable, so that she wouldn't be afraid of being reported to the provincial level or even higher.

"Wait a minute, I have a question. Are you saying that the companies on the land we want are unwilling to relinquish it?" Qin Xiaoyu waved her hand, bringing up the key point.

"Yes."

"If they all agree to transfer the land, will the city approve the land for us?" Qin Xiaoyu challenged.

"There's no need to make assumptions. If they don't want to sell, we can't force them to. We won't do anything unreasonable..."

"Let me ask you this: if the company agrees to transfer the land, does that mean the land belongs to us?" Qin Xiaoyu interrupted her.

"yes."

"That's good. Here are all the procedures. Take a look and sign the approval document." Qin Xiaoyu opened her briefcase and took out a thick stack of documents.

"How is this possible?" Director Chen was startled and couldn't believe his eyes.

“Why not? Everyone can be my witness. Director Chen just promised me. Now I’ve brought all the transfer documents. You can decide what to do.” Qin Xiaoyu smiled and stared at Director Chen.

Director Chen looked at the several transfer agreements in his hand again and again, and he couldn't believe it no matter what.

Actually, these plots of land weren't orchestrated by Director Chen; she was just using the opportunity to her advantage.

One of the plots of land belonged to the city's leather factory, which was on the verge of bankruptcy and had not been able to pay wages for more than a year. The workers who couldn't take it anymore went out to find other jobs, and those who could move left, leaving behind only the elderly, weak, sick, and disabled.

Qin Xiaoyu got the map from Director Fei and looked at the details marked on it. She immediately spotted the leather factory and her eyes lit up.

During her last fashion show in Paris, Qin Xiaoyu had already made up her mind. The Riyue Apparel brand had been established, and it couldn't be limited to just fashion. Matching bags, shoes, and accessories also needed to keep up. So she also wanted to take over two shoe factories and leather factories to keep up with the design of shoes and bags.

Now, coincidentally, the locations are all close together and can be included in the industrial park.

"Sister Fei, have you been in contact with this company?"

"I've had contact with him. The factory's poor performance is directly related to the factory manager, a stubborn man surnamed Zhuang. He's out of touch with the times and refuses to let go. I'm so annoyed with him!" Factory Manager Fei has a fiery temper, and judging from this, he's not only had contact with Factory Manager Zhuang, but they've probably even fought.

"I'll go take a look." Qin Xiaoyu smiled. She dared not take Factory Director Fei with her; if they met, a full-blown fight would break out, and she wouldn't be able to stop it.

She went home and quickly prepared some documents, then asked A Lei to drive her to the leather factory. A Lei parked the car at the entrance, but Qin Xiaoyu didn't let him go inside.

The place was desolate. In late autumn, there were withered branches and fallen leaves everywhere, and the huge factory was empty. It was a place where you could film a ghost movie.

Qin Xiaoyu turned up the collar of her trench coat to protect her neck; it was cold.

She couldn't see where the office was, so she walked along the main road.

From the dilapidated notice board next to it, one can vaguely discern its former glory. Back then, the leather factory was far more profitable than Little Sun. In those days, leather shoes and bags were luxury items, produced in limited quantities, and mainly exported to SL.

Later, when trade with SL was interrupted, the leather factory's orders shrank to the point that they could not support the factory's employees.

Although the market economy gradually became more active in the late 1980s, they clung to their past glory and refused to innovate or change, continuing to produce the old styles. Who would they sell to?

Products exported to SL have their own unique characteristics: they are bulky and rough, but they are made of high-quality materials. However, they are not suitable for Chinese people.

Qin Xiaoyu had already mentally labeled him as yet another factory manager who couldn't face reality.

"Comrade! Don't go any further in! This is a restricted workshop area!" A gray-haired man ran over from a side path and stopped Qin Xiaoyu from going any further.

"Excuse me, sir, where is the office building?" Qin Xiaoyu asked with a smile.

"Office building?" The old man was stumped by the question, hesitated for a moment, and pointed to a two-story building behind him.

The small building was partially obscured by a large tree in front, with only a corner visible, its glass gray and dilapidated.

"Thank you, sir." Qin Xiaoyu turned around. She listened intently and could faintly hear the sound of machines coming from the workshop, but it wasn't loud; there should only be a few machines working.

"Who are you looking for?" The old man was very wary and followed.

Qin Xiaoyu sized him up. He was wearing an old military overcoat. Although his hair was completely white, he didn't have many wrinkles on his face and his complexion was good. So after analyzing it further, she felt that this old man was being unfairly addressed.

"I'm looking for Factory Director Zhuang." Qin Xiaoyu had already guessed it and kept staring at him.

"That's me," Director Zhuang had to admit under her gaze.

"My name is Qin Xiaoyu." Qin Xiaoyu extended her hand generously, and Factory Director Zhuang reluctantly shook it. His hand was rough, not like that of a factory director, but more like that of an old craftsman who had been working for decades.

"What's the matter?" Director Zhuang had no intention of inviting her into the office building.

"There are many things to discuss, let's go inside and talk," Qin Xiaoyu said because it was too cold outside. She regretted not wearing enough clothes, and the wind had even blew her little lambskin boots through.

But once she stepped into the office building, she regretted it even more; it was much better outside. There was no heating inside, and it was so cold that she shivered all over.

"Shall we talk somewhere else?" Qin Xiaoyu was no longer the same person who dared not speak out when she was wronged; she immediately suggested it.

"You don't have to talk about it." Director Zhuang walked to his seat, pulled his coat tighter, and looked at him with disdain.

Qin Xiaoyu glanced down at his fur-lined leather boots. They weren't even cold in minus thirty or forty degrees Celsius. How awful!

"I can choose not to talk, and you can choose not to talk, but what about the employees in your building who are waiting for their rice to cook? Do you want to talk? Have a conscience!"

Qin Xiaoyu turned on him in a flash, slamming her hand on the table. Dust rose up, making her cough. Just as she was about to put on a tough front, she rubbed her nose, and Director Zhuang's face began to contort.
