Chapter 861 A Group of Little Guys

Xiaoyu's mother was worried about her daughter, so she would come over to stay for a few days from time to time. She and Zhou Xing's mother got along well and became old best friends.

“We’ve had so many kids these past few years, one after another. Look at all these clothes.” Zhou Xing’s mother gathered up the clothes that the children had outgrown and picked out new ones to prepare for Xiao Yu’s unborn child.

"Just buy new ones, it's too much trouble. Do we really want our kids to wear hand-me-downs?" Fu Yongnian was a little displeased. His grandson and granddaughter were both treasures, why would he want them to wear rags?

"What do you know? This fabric needs to be washed several times to become soft, and the dye will be washed off. It's environmentally friendly and perfect for a newborn," Little Fish's mother said, giving him a reproachful look.

Fu Yongnian realized he had said the wrong thing, so he shut up and sat down to rest.

"Your husband has such a good temper. Look at mine, he can't sit still all day, you can't even touch him..." Before Zhou Xing's mother finished speaking, Zhou Shiling and Hanhan's grandfather had already returned, carrying fishing rods and stuffing their snakeskin bags with a rustling sound. It looked like they had a good catch.

"It'll make fish soup, it'll be delicious. You'll come with us tomorrow, it's too stuffy staying indoors." Zhou Shiling gestured to Fu Yongnian, who just smiled sheepishly and didn't nod.

Qin Xiaoyu was quite certain that her stepfather kept a close watch on her mother, never leaving her side, as if all the light in his life was there, and he would run out of energy if he didn't see her enough.

They've been married for quite a while now, and it's truly remarkable that they're still so loving.

There was a commotion outside; the Zhou triplets, whom they feared most, had arrived.

With Zhou Yue away, Zhou Xing's mother had to keep a closer eye on these energetic little donkeys. They were all incredibly lively, now running all over the place, and if she neglected one of them, they'd cause trouble.

Even Zhou Shiling was overwhelmed by it. Once, when he was angry, he said, "Let's return that guy with the surname Zhou too. He'll only cause trouble and embarrass us in the future."

Deng Jianyan was good-natured and knew he was in the wrong, so he just chuckled and didn't dare to argue back.

"You're so rude! Do you still think he's your subordinate? You throw him out if you can't handle him properly. Don't say the child is ignorant, you're no good as his grandfather!" Zhou Xing's mother gave him a severe beating. Zhou Shiling dared not speak out, but rushed to pick up Xiao Jiajia and kissed and nibbled on him, showing them his displeasure.

"Thank goodness, these three are here, but Zhengxin isn't. Otherwise, it would have been really lively..." Zhou Shiling's mouth was also blessed. As soon as the door opened, Qi Si was holding Xiaoxin in his arms, with Xiaozhengxin tripping beside him, followed by Xiaosi's wife. The family of four had arrived.

"I heard Grandpa misses us, let's go." Qi Si, with his sharp ears, urged Zheng Xin to hurry up and coax Zhou Shiling.

Having received some kind of upbringing at home, Zhengxin pounced on Zhou Shiling, pinning him down and kissing him on both sides until he beamed with joy, forgetting all about being angry.

"Your grandpa made the swings for you, go play in the back!" Zhou Xing's mother was efficient; with just one sentence, the little ones all rushed to the back door.

A Lei picked up Xiao Jiajia. She was still a bit small, and it would be a disadvantage for her to go out. Although she was kicking her arms and legs in a panic, A Lei didn't dare to let go.

As expected of a girl, Xiaoxin, dressed in a princess dress, sat down at the table and watched her younger sister do her drawing homework attentively.

"Why is this child becoming more and more well-behaved?" Zhou Xing's mother tidied up Xiao Xin's messy hair and gave her a loving kiss on the cheek.

"She said she wants to learn to paint. Everyone in the family can paint, and she wants to too," Xiao Si's wife said with a smile.

"Oh, you'll be working with your aunt from now on. I'll have another capable little helper." Qin Xiaoyu sat down next to her, and Xiaoxin naturally snuggled into her arms. The two of them looked at the drawings in their little sister's homework.

"Alright, I've lost my patience." The little sister's princess temper flared up again. She pushed the notebook aside, stood up, and ran outside.

Now, if Li Sheng doesn't come, she'll be the eldest sister among these kids, so she has some authority. Qin Xiaoyu feels at ease seeing her go out to take charge.

Grandpa Hanhan, who was busy outside and sweating profusely, was finally freed to come inside for a drink of water.

"My little sister said she wants to be a kindergarten teacher in the future because she loves children," Zhou Xing's mother whispered to Qin Xiaoyu.

"What a wonderful idea. My daughter is so kind." A Lei put Xiao Jiajia on the ground and gave him his freedom.

"Suddenly, there's a whole room full of kids. I feel like I'm dreaming," Zhou Xing's mother remarked.

"Mom, I'm so happy." Qin Xiaoyu stood up, hugged Zhou Xing's mother's neck, and kissed her.

Just before the Lunar New Year, Deng Jianyan's hospital opened.

Deng Jianyan's fame has grown so much that it has attracted the attention of many high-ranking people. As a result, when the hospital opened, a whole row of uninvited celebrities stood there to cut the ribbon.

In the face of illness, all humans are humble and modest. Qin Xiaoyu remained low-key and did not step forward. Firstly, with Dean Liu making arrangements, she couldn't steal the limelight. Secondly, A Lei was afraid she would get tired, so he kept a low profile.

The hospital built two three-story buildings across the street, enclosing a courtyard in between. The front building was for outpatients, and the back building was for inpatients. Before it even officially opened, people started moving in, and the air inside was filled with the aroma of medicine.

When recruiting, Qin Xiaoyu specifically instructed that half of the workers should be recruited from her hometown and the other half from the local area.

Recruiting people from his hometown is to facilitate Deng Jianyan's cooperation. His language skills are still somewhat lacking; even after being here for a while, he still can't communicate well with the locals. When treating patients, he relies half on pulse diagnosis and half on guesswork. Therefore, having more people from his hometown will give him more confidence.

Furthermore, the hospitals in my hometown are not doing well; some have already merged or closed down. Many experienced doctors and nurses are going to leave for the private sector, and it would be a waste not to recruit them, since training a doctor requires a lot of resources.

The other half of the medical staff are for local patients who come to the hospital, making it more convenient for them to receive care.

Qin Xiaoyu has a good eye, and Dean Liu's abilities are undeniable. With the houses built here, the landscaping in the yard is already in place.
