"Little Fish, wake up, someone's here to wish you a Happy New Year." A Lei gently called in her ear, and Qin Xiaoyu slowly opened her eyes.
A double bed, A Lei, and a young A Lei—it was all a dream. She woke up.
Qin Xiaoyu breathed a sigh of relief. She stretched, thinking how wonderful it was to be young. A beautiful smile curved her lips.
"What's wrong?" A Lei, being observant, noticed the unusual expression on her face.
"I had a dream, a dream about ourselves thirty years from now."
"Hurry downstairs, we have guests. Tell me later." A Lei helped her take the clothes.
It was lively downstairs; Ye Qiu and Su Ju had come over.
Ye Qiu's children are now running around everywhere, all lively and adorable. Su Ju's belly is bigger than Qin Xiaoyu's; Ye Qiu has been pushing her to get pregnant.
Zhou Xing's mother pulled her aside to share her pregnancy experience. Xu Jingye listened even more attentively than Su Ju, leaning forward so much that his bottom almost left the sofa. Judging from his wide-eyed expression, he was practically taking notes.
It seems these two have been loving and devoted to each other ever since, still so happy after thirty years. So what happened to Ye Qiu? Did she feel lonely living alone after her child grew up?
Qin Xiaoyu was lost in thought, recalling what she had dreamt about.
“Xiaoyu, I thought about it all night yesterday and came up with a name for the child. Do you think it’s okay?” Zhou Shiling came out of the study with a piece of paper in his hand.
Qin Xiaoyu took it and saw three words written on it: Fang Ziyu.
"Huh?" Qin Xiaoyu exclaimed, startling Zhou Shiling.
"Isn't this name good?"
"Great, Dad, we're on the same page." Qin Xiaoyu hugged Zhou Shiling and smiled happily.
"That's a great name. By the way, Little Fish, you haven't told us what you dreamed about yet." A Lei took the paper and looked at it.
"I dreamt that my mom and uncle both lived to be over a hundred years old," Qin Xiaoyu said with a grin.
"Keep dreaming. I'll be happy if I live to eighty," Zhou Xing's mother laughed.
“I really want to live to be a hundred years old and watch little Ziyu grow up and get married,” Zhou Shiling said immediately.
"Yes, it will all come true, and we will all be happy!" Qin Xiaoyu closed her eyes and leaned against A Lei's chest.
She still hopes to live through these thirty years one day at a time, and be happy every day; she can't bear to waste it.
