Chapter 259 Lei Tingjun's Fried Rice

The Thunder Army can certainly make do; they can eat whatever they want.

He just didn't want Ji Wanmei to settle for him too.

In the few days since he came to Pingdong City, apart from the first meal when he solemnly prepared a hot pot to welcome her, it seemed that when she went back to Honghe Township and Xiahe Village, she was just making do with whatever she ate.

Lei Tingjun said, "I've been eating simple meals back home these past few days. Let me take you to the night market for something nicer."

"Oh, no need. It's so late. I don't want to eat too much and not be able to sleep later." Ji Wanmei pulled him into the kitchen shed, opened the iron pot and looked inside. She saw that there was enough rice left for the two of them.

"Okay, that's enough. Fry two eggs and boil two sausages, that's fine. I can't eat much."

Ji Wanmei moved her lips, but thought to herself, "Never mind, let him do it his way."

At worst, she can just eat less later.

During the day, when she saw him stir-frying wild mushrooms with a suitable amount of lard at his old home in Xiahe Village, she thought it was normal. But now she knows that he used less because he didn't have much lard stored at home.

Now back in Pingdong City, this makeshift kitchen is fully stocked with ingredients and seasonings, and he gets to work without hesitation.

Once the oil in the pan was hot, Lei Tingjun quickly cracked four eggs into the pan and put them in. He then quickly stirred them with a spatula, and the aroma of the eggs soon filled the air.

He reached out and said to Ji Wanmei, "Meimei, pass me the rice."

Ji Wanmei handed over the rice from the pot, and saw Lei Tingjun pour the rest of the rice in: "..."
