Chapter 326
Sun Xiaojun slowly put on his clothes, climbed down from the upper bunk, wearing a pair of sandals and looking disheveled. He scratched his hair, which he hadn't washed for days, and said, "Let's go, Director Wang. Didn't you say that Factory Director Ji wanted to see me in person?"
Director Wang stepped forward, grabbed Sun Xiaojun by the collar, and yelled, "Look at yourself! What kind of person are you?!"
“Back when Lei Tingjun was still here, your four-person dormitory, although a bit lax in discipline and often causing me trouble, at least had the longest working hours in our workshop. Look at yourself now, just this month alone, how many times have you been late or left early! The wages deducted this month aren't even enough to pay your salary!”
Sun Xiaojun said nonchalantly, "Let them deduct it. I've already submitted my resignation, and I'll leave as soon as this month is over."
Director Wang scoffed dismissively, then walked out of the dormitory with his hands behind his back: "With your looks, do you think you'll have any future anywhere else? You need to be strong yourself to succeed. Don't you even look in the mirror and see how much you're worth?"
Sun Xiaojun was a little embarrassed when Director Wang pointed out his bad habits so bluntly, but he still smiled and said, "Don't worry about that, Director Wang. I'm going to my brother Lei's place. He'll take care of the brothers!"
"Don't forget how loyal and devoted Brother Lei was to us brothers back then!"
Director Wang was well aware that Lei Tingjun was his most promising worker, and he even wanted to groom Lei Tingjun to be his right-hand man.
Lei Tingjun is an ambitious man, and a mere Eastern Factory couldn't keep him. Even without the incident involving Sun Xiaojun and the Yang family, Lei Tingjun would most likely still have left.
Since we can't keep him after all, let him roam freely in the vast world.
Some people are destined to be extraordinary from birth.
Although Director Wang felt some regret, after hearing about Lei Tingjun's development after leaving last year, he was still quite gratified for his former subordinate and felt that he had not misjudged him.
But this is Sun Xiaojun.
Being lazy, unambitious, and only knowing how to daydream all day, thinking that one can make a fortune by relying on others, this kind of opportunistic thinking will never lead to great success anywhere.
That means I'm destined to live a life of idleness and waiting for death.
They have lofty ambitions and think they are underappreciated, but they never really know what they are capable of and have no self-awareness.
Director Wang was too lazy to bother arguing with this kind of person.
If it were just Sun Xiaojun submitting his resignation, Director Wang would have approved it without hesitation and wouldn't have bothered to report it to Factory Director Ji.
It was precisely because Sun Xiaojun was more trouble than he was worth that he was good at talking. He could talk all sorts of things and incite his group of factory workers who followed him to resign en masse.
This changes the nature of the event's impact.
As a responsible workshop director, I must report this matter to my superiors.
"Hurry up, don't dawdle, the factory manager is still waiting in his office," Director Wang urged impatiently.
Sun Xiaojun lingered for a while before coming out of the dormitory and following Director Wang toward the factory leaders' office building.
"Knock knock." When they arrived at Ji Xingguo's office, Director Wang knocked respectfully.
Ji Xingguo was reviewing a production document and, without even looking up, said, "Come in."
Director Wang led Sun Xiaojun inside: "Factory Director, Sun Xiaojun has been brought over."
Ji Xingguo looked down intently at the quarterly production data submitted by his subordinates, flipping through the pages one by one until he had carefully reviewed all dozen or so pages and confirmed that everything was correct. Only then did he sign his name at the end, where the leader's signature would be.
He calmly closed the pen holder, put the document aside, and then looked up to give Sun Xiaojun a stern look.
Ji Xingguo's first reaction was to furrow his brow.
This Sun Xiaojun is obviously a scoundrel. He has no manners, and his eyes dart around suspiciously. He's the kind of person who's full of ulterior motives and doesn't know what's going on.
This is the kind of person that Ji Xingguo dislikes the most.
Ji Xingguo spoke in a deep voice: "I heard from Director Wang that you submitted a resignation letter to him, is that true?"
Although Sun Xiaojun was a little nervous facing the factory director directly, he had a strange confidence because of Lei Tingjun, so he raised his chin and said, "That's right, factory director, I plan to resign! Since you already know, just approve it for me."
Sun Xiaojun chuckled: "I, Sun Xiaojun, am neither a manager with a position nor a technical backbone. I'm just an inconspicuous little worker. Factory manager, you wouldn't refuse to release me, would you?"
Ji Xingguo looked him up and down and said sternly, "If you want to resign, then resign. Nobody's stopping you. But why are you trying to persuade other workers in the factory to resign with you?"
Seeing the anger on Ji Xingguo's face, Sun Xiaojun, still somewhat timid and lacking confidence, explained slickly, "Factory Director, you've misunderstood me. Their resignation was definitely not something I, Sun Xiaojun, orchestrated. I'm just a nobody; how could I possibly have that kind of influence!"
Director Wang immediately frowned and shouted, "You still dare to argue! I have already asked them clearly, and they have all confessed truthfully. It was because they listened to your fallacies, Sun Xiaojun, that the morale of the workshop workers was low."
Sun Xiaojun was still somewhat skeptical, thinking to himself, "People strive for higher positions and water flows downhill. If they could earn more money in Pingdong City than in the Dongfang Factory, then no one would be stupid enough to stay here."
