Chapter 403 Ji Wanmei and Lei Tingjun's Wedding (Part 2)

The father, who had raised his daughter for over twenty years, was getting married today. Overwhelmed with emotion, he choked up as he said to Ji Wanmei, "My daughter, you will be starting your own family from now on."

Seeing all the guests watching them, Ji Wanmei smiled and whispered to her father, "Today is my happy day, so please don't cry."

"Okay, I won't cry. From now on, you and Lei Tingjun will be good to each other. Dad will always be your last harbor. If you suffer any injustice outside, you must come back and tell Dad. No one can bully my daughter."

"Yes, I know, Dad. Don't worry, I'll treat Lei Tingjun well. If he dares to bully me, I'll definitely come back and tell you."

"Okay, okay." Ji Xingguo nodded with a smile, but quietly turned his head away and wiped the wet corner of his eyes.

Finally, Ji Xingguo brought his daughter to Lei Tingjun and handed her to him personally.

Ji Xingguo said very seriously, "Lei Tingjun, from this moment on, I entrust my daughter to you. You must swear to me with your life that you will treat her well."

Lei Tingjun grasped Ji Wanmei's hand, his expression serious: "Dad, don't worry, I will treat Meimei well and never let her suffer any injustice."

Ji Xingguo nodded, saw Ji Wanmei off, and then turned around and sat down in the high seat, waiting for the newlyweds to toast him.

Ji Wanmei held a white bouquet in her hand and wore a transparent veil on her head, looking as beautiful as a fairy who had mistakenly descended to the mortal world.

She looked at Lei Tingjun, who was only two steps away, and smiled brightly.

Her eyes seemed to be filled with the stars of the night.

The two looked into each other's eyes and smiled as they gazed at one another.

Lei Tingjun was laughing when suddenly his eyes welled up with heat, and his heart burned.

"Our bride and groom are a perfect match! In all my years as an emcee, I've never seen such a well-matched couple. Now, please come to the center of the stage to exchange wedding vows and rings!"

Lei Tingjun glanced at Ji Wanmei, turned around, reached out his arm, and let her take his hand as they began to walk step by step toward the wedding stage.

The bridesmaids and groomsmen scattered rose petals behind them, while relatives and friends sitting in the audience cheered and congratulated the newlyweds on the stage.

Red petals fell onto Ji Wanmei's veil and long skirt, then scattered down the veil one by one.

Cheers, laughter, blessings, and applause.

This short stretch of red carpet, only a few meters long, seemed to take them an incredibly long time to walk.

With each step they took, the things they had experienced, the scenes, the encounters, the sweetness and excitement flashed before their eyes.

After two lifetimes, Ji Wanmei finally walked down the aisle with the man she loved and who loved her deeply.

They walked hand in hand onto the wedding stage.

They received the ring box from the bridesmaid and helped each other put the rings on.

They exchanged rings, toasted their parents, and received blessings from their elders.

In front of all their relatives, friends and neighbors, they kissed each other and made a vow to grow old together.

They turned to look at each other, and amidst the laughter and jeers of the crowd, Lei Tingjun lifted Ji Wanmei's veil, leaned down, and planted a kiss on her forehead.

"Meimei, do you know?"

To the world you are one person, but to me you are my whole world, the light in my world.

Thank you for being the love of my life, thank you for your unwavering love and support that made me who I am, thank you for being my life partner and my one and only light. As long as I'm with you, I will always be the happiest person in the world.

"Thunder Army, do you know that?"

You are my salvation, like an unreal, beautiful dream, rescuing me from the cycle of fate. You gave my life new meaning, my heartbeat a new rhythm, and my life the most vibrant colors. I wish to be with you, life after life, hand in hand, until our hair turns white.

From then on, Lei Tingjun's wife was Ji Wanmei.

From then on, Ji Wanmei's husband was Lei Tingjun.
