Chapter 95 is simply a hero among men.

Chapter Ninety-Five

Since we're heading back this afternoon, the main goal for lunch today is to make sure everyone is full.

Since several people were carrying luggage, it wasn't convenient for them to wander around the city.

Li, the clerk, is not as physically fit as Lei Tingjun. He usually sits in an office and doesn't have Lei Tingjun's stamina.

Carrying a suitcase weighing a full twenty pounds, Li started sweating profusely after walking less than two hundred meters.

He kept wiping the sweat from his forehead with a handkerchief.

Ji Wanmei couldn't stand it anymore. Seeing a restaurant serving braised rice with meat sauce ahead, she said, "Why don't we just eat here?"

It was quite hot walking around at midday, so Luo Chunyan said, "I have no objection. What about you, Officer Li?"

"Alright, alright, let's eat here. We're in a hurry, no need to be so fussy," said Officer Li, panting.

Luo Chunyan smiled wryly. She wondered who it was that had just said they would take them to try some local specialties after leaving Zhejiang.

But after walking only a few steps, she quickly said she couldn't walk anymore.

Ji Wanmei was surprised when she saw it; was her suitcase really that heavy?

It seems like Lei Tingjun is carrying a small cloth bag with ease.

This is truly something that cannot be compared between people.

Looking at Lei Tingjun alone, one inexplicably feels that a man should be so handsome, strong, and capable of moving mountains and rivers.

It was as if his broad shoulders and chest could bear anything.

But looking at Officer Li again, I suddenly realized that most ordinary men are actually just weak and prone to exaggeration.

Ji Wanmei felt that she had discovered another advantage of Lei Tingjun.

He always quietly does everything he can for you, without ever saying a word to claim any credit for himself.

Such a silent and unassuming man is far more reliable than those who boast and exaggerate.

The restaurant they randomly went into served braised pork rice, which was made by slicing braised pork into a platter and pouring it over rice. It also came with a bean sprout soup, and the taste was not bad.

It's probably specifically for delivery workers in this area; the portion of rice in the plate is quite generous.

While eating, Ji Wanmei wondered if Lei Tingjun had bought the tickets yet, and if he had already eaten.

During her two days in Zhejiang, Ji Wanmei spent more time with Lei Tingjun, and his image often flashed through her mind.

While eating, Ji Wanmei suddenly heard a thin man at the next table telling jokes to the person next to him with great enthusiasm.

He said that last night, at the workers' guesthouse, he encountered a fat man with a fierce face who inexplicably tried to take his bed.

"Just then, a hero walked in. The hero was eight feet tall, with a muscular body and eyes as bright as cowbells. Without saying a word, he picked up the fat man with his palm as big as a palm fan and threw him to the ground."

The hero's voice boomed like a deep bell: "Hey! This bed belongs to this young man. If you dare to take it, you'd better ask my fists first!"

"The fat man called two friends over, and without saying a word, he rushed forward, trying to outnumber the enemy."

"And guess what happened? That hero was incredibly strong, a true hero among men. He could easily take on three men by himself. He beat them flat like sandbags and threw them into the corner."

Then, the hero beckoned to me and said, "Little brother! Come here. With me here, no one will dare to bully you."

Those around him booed, disbelieving: "You're just bragging!"

The skinny man slammed his hand on the table and said, "Hey—you guys don't believe me. The very next morning, I immediately swore allegiance to him as my elder brother."

"My older brother is from Pingdong City, and he's nicknamed 'Thunder Tiger.' If I ever go to Pingdong City, he'll protect me."

When Ji Wanmei first heard the first half, she didn't pay much attention.

Upon hearing "Pingdong City," and then the phrase "nicknamed Thunder Tiger," it suddenly dawned on me that this person might be referring to the Thunder Army.

Ji Wanmei could tell it, and Luo Chunyan and Officer Li naturally could too.

There was no way around it; Lei Tingjun's nickname, "Thunder Tiger," was just too well-known in Pingquan County.

Everyone in the entire Dongfang Factory knew about it.

Officer Li frowned and shook his head, saying, "This Lei Tingjun said he came here on his own private business. Ha, in the end, he still caused trouble and got into fights. Doesn't he know how to learn from this?"

Luo Chunyan glanced at Ji Wanmei, then hesitated, as if she wanted to say something but couldn't.

Ji Wanmei felt a little uncomfortable hearing what Officer Li said, but she didn't respond.

If you managed to keep it a secret for the first few days, why ruin it all in the last half day?

It's good that we don't let Officer Li know the real reason why Lei Tingjun came to Zhejiang.

Ji Wanmei turned around and took a second look at the skinny guy who was talking animatedly about his experiences.

As Shi Tou was speaking enthusiastically, he turned around and suddenly saw a girl who looked like an angel star looking at him.

Shi Tou blushed instantly, fell silent, and stared at Ji Wanmei with his mouth agape.

Ji Wanmei smiled at him in a friendly manner.

Stone was instantly stunned. Good heavens, he must have just seen a fairy!

Officer Li had already gotten up to pay the bill.

Seeing that this braised meat shop also sold takeaway braised meat, Ji Wanmei said to Luo Chunyan, "Why don't we buy some braised meat to eat on the train?"

"Sure, I think this place's braised meat sauce is pretty good."

Because it was summer, the train was crowded and the air was not circulating, so the meat couldn't be kept overnight and had to be eaten at night.
