Chapter 398 Their Boss Lei is back!

Chapter 398

Ji Wanmei and Lei Tingjun went to the Municipal Party Committee Office together to complete the final follow-up procedures.

Dongfang Daily Chemical Factory was officially registered under Lei Tingjun's name.

Lei Tingjun then gave it to Ji Wanmei.

Mayor Duan was present at the signing ceremony as a witness and finally saw Lei Tingjun's legendary fiancée, who had always been mysterious and rarely appeared in public. She was indeed a beauty that was one in a million, with a graceful demeanor and outstanding temperament.

She is in no way inferior to her own daughter.

Mayor Duan only learned at this time that Lei Tingjun's fiancée was the daughter of the former director of Dongfang Daily Chemical Factory.

No wonder many people were puzzled at the time. Lei Tingjun was in the development engineering industry, so why would he suddenly become interested in a daily chemical factory and spend so much money to buy a factory that was about to be acquired and merged?

It turns out, it was all for his girlfriend.

That's enough, it's not meant to be, there's no point in forcing it.

Fortunately, Lei Tingjun did not develop any rift with him because of this misunderstanding. This young man was still very open and honest. Mayor Duan thought highly of him. If he couldn't be his son-in-law, then he could be an outstanding young man who would contribute to the development of Pingdong City.

Lei Tingjun and Ji Wanmei returned to Pingquan County with the contract documents to take over the factory.

The workers had all heard that the factory had been bought by a mysterious person and was now a private enterprise.

In the next few days, the new boss will come to the factory to take over the assets. Many of them will likely be laid off. For a time, a sense of panic spread throughout the entire Dongfang Factory.

Just when everyone was at a loss, they discovered that the factory director, Ji Xingguo, had been in a very good mood these past few days, looking radiant and beaming.

Those who were unaware of the situation only heard that Director Ji's daughter was getting married soon, and that many of the factory's management had received wedding invitations, supposedly for next month, in November.

But while his daughter was getting married, such a major incident had occurred at the factory. As the factory manager, he couldn't just ignore everyone's lives.

Previously, that small group of workers who were threatening to strike finally couldn't take it anymore. They knew that if they continued to cause trouble, the new boss who took over the factory might target them first. So they shamelessly came back to Ji Xingguo to ask him to help them think of a solution.

Ji Xingguo remained silent with a cold expression.

Over this period of time, he has come to understand things better.

There are still quite a few traitors in the factory who not only don't appreciate his kindness, but also deliberately cause trouble when the factory is in its most difficult time, so as to take advantage of the chaos and drag everyone down.

It's a good thing to fire such irresponsible workers sooner rather than later.

Previously, the factory was a state-owned enterprise, and it had an obligation to increase the employment rate of the people. So, sometimes, even though one person could do the job, they would keep two idle people on the job.

This is the problem with state-owned enterprises: they use the country's money to support too many idle people who do nothing but eat and do no real work.

Having served as factory director for decades, Ji Xingguo had long been disgusted with this corrupt personnel management system, but since it was the same all over the country, his individual efforts could not change the general social phenomenon.

Sometimes, you just have to accept it and bear it.

But the situation is different now.

The factory was bought by his daughter and son-in-law, and Ji Xingguo, the former director of a state-owned enterprise, became the director of a private enterprise. From now on, he can completely reformulate and improve the factory's management system.

Many of the deep-seated problems within the system that he used to dislike could now be thoroughly and decisively addressed.

While the dozen or so workers were still whining and playing the victim in front of him, Ji Xingguo had already made up his mind. After his daughter and the others returned and he finished handing over the factory, the first thing he would do was to reorganize personnel management.

Then there's the accountability system. In the old system, when something went wrong, people would just pass the buck. They'd put in so much effort but not get anything done properly, and they'd end up forming cliques and doing a lot of dirty work.

On this point, Ji Xingguo quite approves of the 'depersonalized' management systems of foreign companies.

He has recently been studying Western books on this subject, intending to apply what he has learned and promote it in the Eastern Factory.

That afternoon, representatives from several key departments of the factory unfurled a welcome banner at the factory gate, while workers stood in a straight line holding bouquets of flowers, welcoming their new boss.

Two black sedans and a silver Santana slowly drove up.

After the car in front came to a stop, a young woman wearing black-rimmed glasses, dressed in a conventional shirt and trousers, got out of the passenger seat. She was carrying a briefcase. After getting out of the car, she saw the people standing at the factory gate and looked up at the Oriental Factory.

The driver then got out of the car, respectfully walked to the back, and opened the back door.

The car door opened, and a strikingly good-looking young couple stepped out from the back door.

The woman was dressed in a white top and black skirt suit, with gold earrings and high heels. Her smile was confident and beautiful, and she looked bright and capable.

The man, dressed in a black suit, had a cold and calm expression. He placed one hand behind the woman's back and slowly put his arm around her.

Their physique and demeanor are outstanding, no matter where they are placed.

A group of department heads waiting at the factory gate were taken aback when they saw the two men. They immediately turned around and whispered among themselves.

Then, seven or eight staff members in sharp suits got out of the two cars behind them. They were all in their twenties, thirties, and forties.

Everyone was holding work documents, making it clear they were accompanying team members.
