Ji Wanmei watched her father put on his clothes quietly, secretly chuckling to herself.
When Lei Tingjun saw Ji Wanmei smile, he turned his gaze over and smiled back at her.
Ji Wanmei glanced at him seemingly casually, her eyes filled with a melancholy, resentment, and affection, but she still ignored him.
"What are you looking at!" Ji Xingguo immediately blocked Lei Tingjun's path with a dark face, glaring at him sternly.
Lei Tingjun pursed his lips and obediently looked away.
Finally, they entered an ordinary, home-style restaurant. Ji Xingguo, sweating profusely, put down his luggage, sat down, and immediately poured himself a cup of cold tea, which he drank in one gulp.
The restaurant owner came over with the menu and asked them what they wanted to eat.
Ji Xingguo handed the menu to Ji Wanmei and asked her to order.
Ji Wanmei sat opposite Ji Xingguo. The small restaurant next to the train station was not very big, with only a few long wooden tables. It was spacious enough for two people, but a bit cramped for four.
After the father and daughter went inside, they found a table near the entrance and sat down.
Meanwhile, the Thunder Army, which had been quietly following along, seemed somewhat out of place.
Because of Ji Xingguo's attitude, it was clear that he wouldn't allow him to sit with them.
So Lei Tingjun went inside and sat down at a table.
He deliberately sat in a position facing behind Ji Xingguo, so that he could see Ji Wanmei's face over Ji Xingguo's shoulder.
Ji Wanmei casually ordered a few dishes, the portions of which looked like a meal for three.
It's obvious that two people can't eat this much.
The restaurant owner glanced at the dishes Ji Wanmei had ordered, then looked at Lei Tingjun standing to the side. He had clearly seen these three guests come in together, so why were they sitting at two separate tables?
So the restaurant owner walked over and asked Lei Tingjun with a puzzled look, "Comrade, are you with them?"
Lei Tingjun paused for a moment, then simply said, "Just a bowl of beef noodles would be fine, thank you."
