Da Ya held Mo Yuan tightly as they ran outwards, their feet barely touching the ground, as if driven by an invisible force.
And so, they ran all the way to the mushroom shed before stopping. Looking into the distance, they saw a large crowd of people, some of whom were huddled together, making a great deal of noise. Among them, the eldest sister's voice stood out the most; her voice was loud and clear, and she sounded quite excited.
A crowd of onlookers gathered around the mushroom shed, whispering and pointing, their faces showing expressions ranging from curiosity to schadenfreude. When Mo Yuan heard his older sister's voice, he initially thought it was just a minor argument or disagreement between her and others while she was teaching them how to grow mushrooms, and assumed it wasn't anything serious. So, without hesitation, he pushed through the crowd and went inside, intending to mediate.
However, when Mo Yuan walked into the crowd and saw the person standing in front of the eldest sister, he instantly realized that things were far more complicated than he had imagined.
It turned out that the man standing opposite the eldest sister was not from the village. Mo Yuan took a closer look and immediately recognized him as his eldest sister's husband, who was also Daya's biological father!
But at this moment, Mo Yuan felt no joy at being reunited with his family. Instead, his eyes widened in fury, burning with rage. He knew without a doubt that the other party had come with ill intentions; otherwise, his elder sister would never have acted this way.
Sure enough, as soon as Mo Yuan squeezed into the crowd, he heard Li Laosan's shrill and piercing voice: "Hongying, you've been staying at your parents' house for quite a while now, hurry up and come back with me!"
