The young couple strolled through the bustling streets, randomly choosing a small shop for a quick lunch. Afterwards, they wandered aimlessly, enjoying this moment of leisure. Before they knew it, the sun was setting, its golden rays casting a soft glow over the city.
After a brief discussion, the couple decided that since it was Lin Zhennan and his wife's first day at work, they would likely be very busy and wouldn't be able to get home early to prepare dinner. With that in mind, they decided to stop by a local market and carefully select some fresh vegetables, meat, and seafood, intending to cook a delicious dinner for their family themselves. In stark contrast to them was Lin Lei, who sat silently across the table, engrossed in his meal. His downcast eyes seemed to conceal endless worries, standing out starkly from the cheerful atmosphere around him. Just then, the perceptive and observant Mo Yuan quickly noticed Lin Lei's low spirits and subtly gave Lin Xue a look.
At first, Lin Xue didn't notice anything unusual about her younger brother, but after receiving Mo Yuan's hint, she immediately shifted her attention to Lin Lei. After a brief moment of thought, Lin Xue skillfully interrupted her mother's incessant nagging and naturally changed the subject, beginning to show concern for Lin Lei: "Xiao Lei, you've been running around all day lately, what have you been busy with?
