Chapter 135 The Heartless Capitalist

On Saturday, Jiang Xiaoli bumped into Zong Jiayu, who was wearing sportswear, while jogging in the neighborhood.

She was pleasantly surprised, "You run in the morning too?"

Zong Jiayu smiled and nodded, "Yeah, let's go run a couple of laps together?"

The two were jogging side by side around the neighborhood when Jiang Xiaoli asked gossipily, "What would you do if your future girlfriend wanted to interfere with your business?"

Zong Jiayu turned to look at her and replied with a smile, "Then let's listen to her."

Jiang Xiaoli frowned, "I didn't realize you were such a henpecked husband!"

"Haha." Zong Jia chuckled. "I'm not a henpecked husband. I just believe that the person I choose is on the same wavelength as me. If she tries to interfere with my business, it must be because I've done something wrong."

Unconvinced, she pressed on, "What if it turns out her decision was wrong?"

He reached up and wiped the sweat from his forehead. "So what if we made a mistake? We can correct it and make amends together."

Jiang Xiaoli really wanted to complain, "Aren't you going to complain about her?"

Zong Jia smiled and said, "I chose her. I allowed her to interfere in my life and business. Am I only supposed to accept success and blame her for failure?"

She couldn't help but look at him with new respect. "My apologies, I wronged you when I said you were a henpecked husband."

"Oh? Little Pear, what new insights do you have?" Zong Jia asked with a smile.

Jiang Xiaoli clicked her tongue, "You're in the late stages of being love-struck!"

"Hahaha." Zong Jia paused for a few seconds, then burst out laughing as he understood the meaning of her words. "Is there anything wrong with it?"

She shook her head. "It's good for girls, but if problems arise between two people, those who are too love-struck are more likely to suffer and get hurt."

Zong Jia shrugged indifferently, "I don't easily judge someone. But if I do, I'll accept whatever might happen."

Jiang Xiaoli gave him a thumbs up, saying, "You have a pretty good attitude, but I can't."

"What do you mean?" Zong Jiayu stopped and looked at her.

She ran two steps forward, turned back, and winked at him playfully.

"I'd rather betray the world than let the world betray me! Time to go home! Come over for breakfast after you've washed up!"

Zong Jia stayed where he was, laughing heartily. He murmured, "I will never let you down."

After finishing their meal, the two took a taxi to the food factory.

In the car, Jiang Xiaoli nudged his arm, "How's your driving lesson going? When are you going to get your license?"

Zong Jia quickly ran through the time in his mind, "Around the beginning of next month, what's up? Want to go for a drive?"

Jiang Xiaoli pouted, "It's still more convenient to drive myself."

At the food factory, the two went directly to the sales office, where half of the sales staff who had gone out that day had returned.

Upon seeing the two, everyone erupted in cheers, "Little Jiang, come and see our performance this week!"

Upon hearing this, Jiang Xiaoli looked at the sales chart on the display shelf. The total sales in the province this week had increased slightly by 1.322 million yuan.

Total sales in Shanxi Province… Jiang Xiaoli’s eyes widened, “1.411 million?!”

Yesterday, Dafu only said that the sales team he led performed well, but he didn't say "this" well!

She looked at Dafu, "This is such a wonderful surprise!"

Dafu replied with a smile, "I didn't disappoint."

Then she looked at the list from Henan Province, which showed a total sales amount of 1.197 million yuan.

A smile flickered in Jiang Xiaoli's eyes. She clapped her hands, and the office instantly fell silent.

She waved her hand and announced, "We'll be giving everyone an extra bonus at the end of this month! Everyone will get one!"

"Yay!" "Long live CEO Jiang!" "The boss is so generous!"

A huge cheer suddenly erupted in the office.

Wei Dong came over when he heard the commotion, just in time to hear her promise of bonuses. He smiled and said to everyone, "You all saw that, right? Our little boss Jiang is so generous. Everyone, keep up the good work! Little boss Jiang's bonuses are still plentiful!"

"Hahaha!" "No problem!" The people in the office echoed his words.

After leaving the sales office, Jiang Xiaoli met with the finance director in Wei Dong's office and carefully examined the ledgers.

Section Chief Fang explained to her, "Ms. Jiang, our factory's financial situation is good right now. The contracts we sign with our sales team are being paid for very quickly. Currently, our accounts receivable are less than 300,000 yuan, and the rest have been received. The total accounts payable is 250,000 yuan."

Jiang Xiaoli nodded as she read through the ledger. After finishing, she closed it and said, "Section Chief Fang, thank you for your hard work."

"Hehe, it's not hard work at all. The factory thrives when it's busy!"

After the finance manager left, she discussed with Wei Donghe and Zong Jia, "I've taken a look, and I think we can replace the machinery and equipment ahead of schedule. What do you think? We'll have to spend this money sooner or later."

Wei Dong nodded. "That's what I think too. It's better to start early than late. We're only promoting our products in three provinces right now, which means our workers have to work in three shifts. It's more reassuring to resolve the production capacity issue as soon as possible."

Zong Jiayu also spoke up, "What scale do you think would be appropriate for us to expand our production line to?"

Jiang Xiaoli tapped her finger lightly on the table. "Do your best. Get the other two empty workshops running, okay?"

Wei Dong thought for a moment, "I'll get rid of the old equipment that makes canned goods in those two workshops; I can still make some income that way."

Zong Jiayu looked at her, "Should we handle this? What are your plans for the new product?"

She sighed, "Let's put the old equipment in the warehouse for now and take our time with the new products. Let's promote the spicy strips first. We can't get fat in one bite. The timing isn't right yet."

“Okay.” Wei Dong agreed. “I’ll talk to Lao Ming in a bit and have him dismantle those old things to make room for the new equipment.”

Jiang Xiaoli leaned back in her chair, closed her eyes, and her mind raced.

After a while, she opened her eyes and emphasized, "We still need to recruit people. The workshop, sales, and warehousing should all be mobilized."

Wei Dong glanced at the list of recent employees. "The factory has recently hired 36 new people to expand production capacity. I'll keep a record of it. Sales department, how many more people do you think we should hire?"

Zong Jia looked at the out-of-province promotion plan in his hand. "This time, we'll leave a total of 21 sales representatives in Shanxi and Henan provinces. We only have 36 people left who can go to other places."

Jiang Xiaoli leaned over to look at the list and said, "Let's make 100 recruitments."

Upon hearing this number, Wei Dong couldn't help but laugh, "The cannery used to have only a little over a hundred people. The speed at which we're expanding now is something I never dared to imagine before."

Zong Jia smiled slightly, "Uncle Wei, things are different now. 100 people distributed among the provinces might not even be enough!"

Jiang Xiaoli tapped his little notebook, "There are too many sales staff left in the three provinces right now. Once sales stabilize, we'll reduce the number of staff and send them all to new locations."

Wei Dong laughed out loud, "Xiao Li, you really look like a capitalist who eats people without spitting out the bones."

She raised an eyebrow and smiled wickedly, "Uncle Wei, you're wrong about that. I'm not just like him, I am a heartless capitalist."
