This Friday is the parent-teacher conference following the 20th middle school entrance exams.
As Li Guizhi sat down in her daughter's seat, a group of parents immediately surrounded her.
"Are you Jiang Xiaoli's parent?" A bespectacled, refined woman approached her and struck up a conversation.
Li Guizhi smiled and nodded. "Yes, my daughter is Jiang Xiaoli. Is there anything I can help you with?"
The woman's eyes were full of smiles. "I'm Tang Wanqiao's mother from our class. She often mentions your daughter's name when she gets home. She said that she also achieved good results in the midterm exams with the help of Jiang. I'd like to learn from you how you usually educate Jiang."
A blush rose on Li Guizhi's face. "It's really not that I don't want to tell you, it's just that my education level is not high, and I have very few skills to teach children. Xiaoli's grades are entirely due to her self-study."

After the parent-teacher meeting, Jiang Xiaoli led Li Guizhi to the office. "Teacher Chen."
Chen Zhe smiled and stood up when he saw the two of them, saying, "Hello, hello."
Li Guizhi greeted him politely, "Hello, Teacher Chen. I should have come to see you a long time ago. Thank you for your help to my daughter, Xiaoli."
Chen waved his hand, "I didn't help the child at all; she made the best of it all on her own!"
Jiang Xiaoli listened to the two's friendly conversation from the side. When they finished talking, she grinned at Chen and said, "Teacher Chen, I have something to take care of and need to ask for a short leave."
Chen frowned. "A short holiday? How many days?"
She held up her finger and made a "2" gesture. Chen smiled, nodded, and drank her water. "Two days? No problem. Tomorrow is Saturday, so it won't interfere."
Jiang Xiaoli spoke softly, "Teacher Chen, it's two weeks."
"Cough cough cough." Chen Zhe choked on a mouthful of tea. "You're asking for two weeks off?"
Li Guizhi apologized to Chen, "Teacher Chen, I'm really sorry, my child has to go out of town to take care of some things. Don't worry, she won't neglect her studies."
Chen frowned deeply, but after a long while he finally gave in, "Alright, I'll approve this leave, but when you come back and cancel your leave, I'll be testing you!"
Jiang Xiaoli smiled and assured her, "No problem, I'm ready to be tested by you anytime!"
After leaving the office, Li Guizhi patted her daughter's hand and said, "I've helped you get this leave. Remember what you promised me!"
She hugged her mother's arm and said, "Don't worry, I'll call you every day to let you know I'm safe!"
With his holiday over and his luggage packed, Xiao Jincheng booked a flight to Shanghai for Sunday.
Tian Tian met with Li Guizhi at "Champs-Élysées" early in the morning. Only then did Jiang Xiaoli realize that Tian Tian was the sweet-smiling receptionist at Xiao Jincheng's company.
She pulled out her suitcase. "Sister Tian, I'll have to trouble you to take care of me during this time!"
Tian Tian patted her chest and said, "No problem, I've got it covered."
On the way to the airport, Xiao Jincheng sighed, "This airport is so far away now. The old airport was a bit small, but it was so convenient!"
The taxi driver chuckled and chimed in, "That's right, the old airport is close by, but the problem is that it's also too close to the city!"
Jiang Xiaoli asked curiously, "Uncle Xiao, where is the old airport you mentioned?"

The driver laughed heartily, "Xi'an is such a small place!"
What was originally a long journey was quickly covered as the group chatted and laughed.
Xi'an Weicheng International Airport was different from what Jiang Xiaoli remembered; at that time, the airport only had one terminal building.
Xiao Jincheng quickly led the two girls to the airline check-in counter.
After checking in her luggage, Tian Tian was very excited. "So this is how it works when you fly! Uncle, I hope they won't put our luggage on another plane?"
"Haha, no way." Xiao Jincheng pointed to the two girls as they passed through security. "Our checked luggage will have a tag on it. The staff will use the information on that tag to deliver the luggage to the plane we're going to take."
They waited in the departure hall for a while. Tian Tian was interested in everything in the airport, and Jiang Xiaoli also wanted to see what was in an airport in this era. The two of them wandered around the area until Xiao Jincheng waved to them.
The two ran up to him, and Xiao Jincheng pulled them away, saying, "Alright, stop shopping, we need to board. Shanghai's airport is much bigger than ours!"
Once on the plane, the three of them sat in the same row, with Jiang Xiaoli in the middle.
As the plane was about to take off, she noticed Tian Tian was trembling all over. "Sister Tian Tian, what's wrong?"
Tian Tian blushed, "After hearing so many safety precautions, I'm so nervous! What should I do if I feel like I can't breathe?"
Jiang Xiaoli took out a piece of bubble gum from her pocket. "Try chewing this bubble gum."
Tian Tian obediently tore off the wrapper and popped the chewing gum into her mouth. Soon, Jiang Xiaoli felt that she wasn't shaking as badly as before.
Once the plane had leveled off, the flight attendants started serving water and drinks to the passengers. She turned to Tian Tian and asked, "Sister Tian, how are you feeling?"
Just as Tian Tian was about to speak, her expression suddenly changed. "Xiao Li, I don't know when I swallowed the bubble gum!"
She couldn't help but rub her forehead. "Are you feeling any discomfort right now?"
Hearing this, Xiao Jincheng asked, "Tian Tian, is your breathing normal? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"
Tian Tian shook her head, "It's nothing, I don't feel anything."
Jiang Xiaoli was relieved. "It's okay. Just drink more water, eat more, and go to the toilet."
Tian Tian nodded; she was no longer nervous and felt much better.
While waiting for the flight attendant to serve the meals, Tian Tian asked curiously in a low voice, "Xiao Li, does this food cost money? Is it expensive?"
Jiang Xiaoli replied with a smile, "Sister Tian, don't worry, it's free. The plane tickets are so expensive, what's wrong with treating us to a meal?"
Tian Tian felt relieved after hearing this. She followed Xiao Jincheng and Jiang Xiaoli's example and ordered a bowl of rice. The three of them ate lunch on the plane.
