Jiang Xiaoli continued, "Of course, besides this location, I also looked at several other plots of land, some of which fit the current positioning of 'Jinghua' very well."
Xiao Jincheng looked at the endless stream of vehicles on the road and quickly calculated in his mind. Just when Jiang Xiaoli thought he was going to give up, he clenched his fist.
"It's just a gamble, right? Let's do it!"
Jiang Xiaoli's eyes showed a hint of surprise. She reminded him, "Uncle Xiao, the construction difficulty here will be several times that of 'Jinghua.' Are you sure you want to do this?"
Xiao Jincheng chuckled at her words and asked in return, "Little Pear, if you were me, what would you choose?"
Jiang Xiaoli was not a conservative person to begin with. She looked at the piece of land not far away and said with a smile, "Uncle Xiao, maybe now is not the best time. But I believe we can do it."
The two exchanged a smile. At that moment, they reached a tacit understanding.
After Jiang Xiaoli dropped Xiao Jincheng off at his hotel, she went home.
She leaned back on the sofa and analyzed the situation carefully. They had their eye on the land, which belonged to the Kyoto No. 1 Machine Tool Factory.
This land has a prime location and attracts many investors, but they are all still in the wait-and-see stage.
She gave Xiao Jincheng the contact information of the person in charge of the First Machine Tool Plant and explained to him the current predicament of the First Machine Tool Plant.
"Currently, due to the economic situation, the First Machine Tool Plant is experiencing operational difficulties, and it is having trouble paying the wages of nearly 5,000 employees. That's why they have the idea of selling land and relocating the factory to the suburbs."
Xiao Jincheng instantly understood what she meant. He smiled and said, "Little Pear, I understand. Leave the rest to me."
For three days in a row, Jiang Xiaoli was so busy she barely had time to breathe.
When she got home that evening, she discovered that Li Guizhi had already returned to Kyoto.
She suddenly slapped her forehead. "Mom, I think I've been so busy I've forgotten everything. I don't remember you saying you'd be back today?"
Li Guizhi set the food on the table. "Are you not confused! You were all busy, so I didn't tell you I was coming back in advance. It's not like I've never flown before. How could I get lost?"
Jiang Xiaoli took her arm and asked, "Have you completed all the resignation procedures?"
Li Guizhi nodded. "It's all done. There are more people who want to keep their jobs now than people like me who want to quit. Now I'm really unemployed!"
Zhong Yuan chimed in, "Auntie, you're not unemployed. When is your 'Guizhi Bistro' opening? I've already recommended it to several of my clients."
Li Guizhi was a little embarrassed, "Xiao Yuan, that's really troubling you."
Dafu poured water and drinks for the group, saying, "Auntie, this is just our duty. We'll all come to support you when your 'Guizhi Restaurant' opens!"
Li Guizhi thought for a moment, "Then can you help me think of a good date? Everything is ready in the shop, and we'll open for business once the date is set."
Jiang Xiaoli immediately flipped through the calendar, "This weekend is a two-day weekend, the 14th or the 15th are both fine, which day do you prefer?"
Zhong Yuan said with disdain, "The 14th is bad, it's like you're going to die, the 15th is better."
Li Guizhi nodded, "Yes, I think the same way as Xiaoyuan."
Jiang Xiaoli chuckled, "I didn't expect you guys to be so superstitious. Okay, then let's go with the 15th."
Zong Jiayu immediately replied, "Then I'll take the next couple of days to improve the official website of 'Guizhi Restaurant'."
Jiang Xiaoli smiled and put a chicken wing on his plate. "Well done, this is a reward for you."
Zhong Yuan and Da Fu had gotten used to their affectionate behavior these past two days, and Li Guizhi just smiled and didn't say anything.
Over the next few days, they were all very busy and could only meet up during dinner time.
Jiang Xiaoli felt like she had forgotten something these past two days, and she remembered it the moment she ran into Cui Zhe and Yu Yang on Saturday.
She smiled and said, "Oh, I was just looking for you guys! We agreed to have a get-together after the National Day holiday. Are you free today?"
Cui Zhe asked naively, "When we don't have classes, we all study in that spot in the library. Why haven't we seen you come looking for us?"
Yu Yang patted him on the back, "You're such a fool!"
Jiang Xiaoli chuckled and asked again, "Do you have time today? There's no time like the present."
Yu Yang turned his head away arrogantly, "Making an appointment for dinner two hours in advance is a bit too impolite."
Cui Zhe had no objection. "I'm fine with anything. Let's go to the library and ask Xu Xing and An Ke."
The moment An Ke saw Jiang Xiaoli, she pouted, "Xiaoli, have you forgotten about us again?"
Jiang Xiaoli quickly waved her hand, "How could that be? How could that be! I'm here now. What would you like to eat? Lunch is on me, order whatever you like."
Wu Cui covered her mouth and laughed, "Keke, look at her guilty little expression!"
Jiang Xiaoli quickly tried to comfort her a few more times.
After discussing it for a while, the group agreed to meet at a restaurant outside the school at noon. Jiang Xiaoli then took her revised proposal to the Peking University staff quarters to find Professor Tan.
Tan Xuanyi looked at the final version of the school-enterprise cooperation plan and nodded in satisfaction. "I've talked to some leaders about this in the past two days, and they are all very interested in your proposal. I will submit your proposal next week, and I will contact you as soon as I have any news."
Jiang Xiaoli bowed deeply to Tan Xuanyi, "Professor Tan, thank you so much!"
Tan Xuanyi poured her a cup of tea and handed it to her. "Private enterprises will be one of the most important components of China's future economic system. I am happy to be able to do what I can."
