Chapter 38 Taking the Exam

Jiang Xiaoli caught the cookie that flew over, her eyes crinkling with joy. "That's great!"

Teacher Liu smiled and nodded, giving her a thumbs up. "Keep it up!"

At this moment, Zhao Jiawei and Teacher Li, who had finished grading the papers, put down their pens and nodded to Chen with smiles on their faces.

Chen went to the next office and asked for the history, politics, and geography exam papers. "I saw that you finish the questions quickly, so I asked for all three subjects. You can do the history and geography papers first, and ask me for the politics papers when you have time."

Jiang Xiaoli held the newly printed exam paper. She glanced at geography, a subject she had reviewed during the summer vacation.

The college entrance examination reform in 1994 will eliminate geography from the six subjects for liberal arts students and eliminate biology and politics from the seven subjects for science students, turning everything into a 3+2 model.

In her previous life, she was a liberal arts student, and she only had to take five subjects in the college entrance examination: Chinese, mathematics, English, politics, and history.

Fortunately, her memory is now good enough that she can firmly remember what she has read, making it easy for her to solve problems.

These two papers required a lot of writing. Although she finished answering the questions ahead of schedule, there wasn't enough time left to write the political science paper.

Chen collected the papers, poured her a glass of water, and said, "You must be tired after doing so many questions all morning. Drink some water and rest for a while."

Jiang Xiaoli took a sip of water while holding the cup, and shook her neck to relieve the soreness.

"Judging from the courses you've taken, you'll definitely pass this exam, but none of us teachers want you to skip a grade. What do you think?" Chen asked her directly.

Jiang Xiaoli smiled; she had already thought of this. "Teacher Chen, actually, I can completely control my own learning pace right now. Whether I'm in the first or second year of high school makes no difference to me, but I still want to take the college entrance exam a year earlier. Is that alright with you?"

She understood that the teachers were reluctant to let her "achievement" slip away, and she had a very good impression of them.

She has already planned to take the college entrance examination a year earlier than expected, and she doesn't know if Teacher Chen and the others will agree to this.

Chen laughed when he heard her words, "So that's what you're worried about. Don't worry, there were students who applied to take the college entrance exam early in their second year of high school a couple of years ago. I'll help you apply for that one."

With this, Jiang Xiaoli had no objections. Having such an understanding homeroom teacher made communication much easier for her.

She gave Teacher Chen a sweet smile and said, "Thank you, Teacher Chen! I will definitely work hard to bring honor to you and all the other teachers!"

As soon as she said this, the other teachers who had been watching their conversation smiled.

Ms. Liu asked from behind, "You should have chosen science, right?"

Teacher Li also came to her senses and looked at Jiang Xiaoli.

In fact, in her previous life, Jiang Xiaoli was more interested in science than humanities, but unfortunately, she was a poor student and might not have even been able to get into a junior college if she had chosen science.

So she readily nodded and winked at Teacher Liu, "Yes, Teacher Liu, you won't dislike me, will you?"

Teacher Liu breathed a sigh of relief. He laughed and scolded, "You think you can get away with this by giving me cookies? You wish!"

Teacher Li chuckled, "That's right, that's right! Little Liu didn't even share his imported cookies with us!"
