Chapter 553 You're not afraid of flying, are you?

After hanging up the phone, Jiang Xiaoli curled up like a shrimp with a laugh.

"Haha, Yuan-ge, how can you be so funny!"

Zong Jia shook his head helplessly, "You could say he's meticulous, but he's a bit naive; you could say he's carefree, but he thinks more than anyone else."

Jiang Xiaoli rested her head on his lap. "Brother Yuan cares too much about your relationship. To be honest, if Pumpkin and Su Xiaoxiao had told us they wanted to go it alone before opening the 'Guizhi Steamed Bun Shop,' we wouldn't have stopped them! Even if we didn't let them use the 'Guizhi Steamed Bun Shop' name, wouldn't it have been easy to find them another way to make a living?"

Zong Jia sighed softly, "Yes, when there is no trust between brothers, this relationship comes to an end."

She reached out and hooked his chin. "Fine, I'll lose a bridesmaid, and you'll lose a groomsman. It's balanced now."

Zong Jia held her hand. "Auntie told us to arrive in Wudu at least a week in advance. There are only a few days left. Have you settled everything at your company?"

Jiang Xiaoli nodded. "Now, An Ting handles most of the group's affairs. I just check the summary reports regularly, and I don't have much to do. How are things on your end? The game platform just launched, are you free to leave?"

"Hehe, don't worry, Bao Fu and the others know what's important and have already taken on all the work."

“Okay.” She sat up abruptly. “Then shall we each confirm the total number of people and visas with the people who invited us to Great Britain before we set off?”

Jiang Xiaoli and Zong Jia invited more than 40 relatives and friends, and with the accompanying persons of the invitees, the total number of people attending their wedding in Great Britain was about 90.

My aunt arranged a chartered plane for them; all she had to do was confirm the total number of people, the exit procedures, and the itinerary.

Zong Jia nodded in agreement, "Okay, shall we go over it tomorrow night?"

She raised both hands and made two OK signs. "OK, I guess Professor Tan is the most difficult one to deal with. I'll go to his house and catch him tomorrow!"

The next morning, she went straight to Tan Xuanyi's house with a bag of good tea that she had gotten from Grandpa Ren.

Ran Hui warmly welcomed her into the house. The small living room was crowded with people; Tan Xuanyi's two sons had brought their wives and children to visit the elderly couple.

Jiang Xiaoli was stunned; this was the first time she had seen these people at the Tan family's residence.

After Ran Hui introduced her name, the two families became noticeably more enthusiastic, and the two Tan brothers stood up to thank her.

"Chairman Jiang, I have long admired your name. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to meet you today. Thank you so much for your help to my brother and me."

She quickly waved her hand, "No need to be so polite, this is just a perk for our group's honorary consultants."

If it weren't for Tan Xuanyi, she wouldn't care whether they could afford a house or not. They don't need to feel indebted to her; they just need to be good to their parents.

Having worked together for many years, the two naturally understood what she meant.

The eldest son of the Tan family said with a smile, "Chairman Jiang, you came here today to see my father, right? He's in the inner room talking to the children."

Ran Hui led her to the study. "Alright, Lao Tan, stop testing the kids. Xiao Li is here."

Tan Xuanyi snorted twice, "Sen Sen needs to work harder on math in the future; she's too careless!"

Ran Hui ignored her and pulled her grandson away from the study.

Jiang Xiaoli chuckled, "Professor Tan, you are truly impartial! You treat your students the same as your own grandson!"

Tan Xuanyi picked up his teacup and took a sip. "You won an IMO gold medal in your second year of high school, but this kid can't even pass his school math exams. What's wrong with him?"

Her expression froze. She had thought Professor Tan had high expectations for his grandson, but it turned out he hadn't passed. This was indeed... he needed some guidance.

She gave an awkward laugh and changed the subject, "Professor Tan, have you asked the school for leave yet?"

"What leave do you need?" Tan Xuanyi feigned amnesia on the spot.

Jiang Xiaoli put on a fake smile mask. "I've sent you the invitation. I've told you three times already. You really don't plan to attend my wedding?"

Tan Xuanyi avoided looking at her, saying, "You'll be holding another event in Kyoto later, so I'll just attend the one in Kyoto."

She started to persuade him, "It's really no trouble! My wedding is on the 19th, which is a Sunday. You can just take three days off and attend my wedding to experience the foreign culture. It will also be good for your research on international trade, don't you think?"

Tan Xuanyi remained unmoved. "That 'Search the World' app your husband created is pretty good. I've already learned how to use it to read the news. I can stay informed about international news from home without having to go there in person."

Jiang Xiaoli continued to tempt her, "Let me tell you, my aunt has arranged a charter flight for all our relatives and friends. You won't have to go through any trouble. You can just take a nap on the plane and you'll be there. Aren't you interested in the Jiang family? Don't you want to talk to my grandfather and my uncle about the overall economic situation?"

She could clearly sense that Tan Xuanyi was very interested, but also very hesitant.

Her mind raced and she suddenly came up with a bold guess.

She stood up, hands on her hips, and asked, "Professor Tan, are you afraid of flying?"

“I didn’t! How could that be!” Tan Xuanyi immediately retorted.

Jiang Xiaoli clapped her hands together and exclaimed, "I guessed right! You're afraid of flying! No way, Professor Tan, are you afraid of heights or just plain afraid of flying?"

Enraged, Tan Xuanyi stood up, opened the door, and pushed her out, shouting, "Get out!"

The people in the living room were stunned by what they saw.

Ran Hui rushed over and asked, "What's wrong? What's wrong, old man? What's gotten into you again?"

Jiang Xiaoli turned to the side, covered her mouth with her hand, and whispered to Ran Hui, "Professor Tan is afraid of flying and doesn't want to go to Great Britain to attend my wedding!"
