Chapter 87 Refusal to Transfer School

After finishing the humanities exams in the afternoon, the results for the morning's exams were released.

Jiang Xiaoli and Xu Xing both got full marks in both science and English.

Chen and the other teachers' eyes lit up.

Zhao Jiawei happily hugged Jiang Xiaoli, "You two are amazing!"

Ms. Li, the teacher opposite her, said with a smile, "We've really found two gems this year. When they take the college entrance exam, even No. 1 High School won't be able to compare with us!"

Teacher Liu kept her promise and gave each of them a small snack, saying, "You two have almost emptied my little warehouse."

Jiang Xiaoli chuckled, "Teacher Liu, you've gone to so much trouble! I'll treat you to spicy snacks next week!"

As soon as she said that, the other teachers in the office all looked at her.

She quickly added, "Please, everyone! Please, everyone!"

Chen laughed and said, "How dare you take advantage of my students like this?"

Zhao Jiawei chimed in, "Yes, Xiaoli, that's your family's business. It's not appropriate for you to keep bringing us things."

Jiang Xiaoli waved her hand dismissively, "It's alright, my family produces a lot every day. If you all like it, you can eat it every day without any problem!"

As they left the office, Xu Xing called out to her, "What are your plans for your studies going forward?"

She paused for a moment, then understood what he meant. "I haven't decided yet. Do you have any suggestions?"

Xu Xing paused for two seconds, "My relatives suggested that I transfer to No. 1 Middle School, which has a competition class, and it would be more suitable for me."

Jiang Xiaoli refused without hesitation, saying, "I think No. 20 Middle School is fine, and I have no intention of transferring."

Aren't you afraid that without systematic learning, you'll fall behind others?

She smiled, one corner of her lips curving upwards. "Then I'll just try to find the latest and most comprehensive books and practice questions. I have faith in my learning ability."

Xu Xing looked at her for a long time, then said, "Okay, let's split up and look for the book."

"Oh, you're not planning to transfer to No. 1 High School?" She thought he had already made up his mind.

Xu Xing laughed, but unlike his usual gentle smile, his smile now carried a hint of arrogance. "Don't I believe in my own learning ability?"

Jiang Xiaoli patted his shoulder, "That's right. If you transfer to No. 1 High School, do you believe Old Chen will pull on your trouser leg and cry?"

Her words instantly made Xu Xing lose his composure. He rubbed his forehead and asked, "What are you talking about?"

She raised an eyebrow. "Imagine, the scenario I'm describing isn't impossible."

Xu Xing remained silent. Indeed, Chen Zhe and the other teachers really valued the two of them.

Seeing that she didn't speak, Jiang Xiaoli said, "Can you picture it now? Haha, let's go, have a wonderful weekend! Remember to eat steamed buns!"

After saying that, she didn't care whether Xu Xing could understand her or not, and rode her bike directly to the No. 1 Baozi Shop.

Tomorrow marks the simultaneous opening of ten new "Guizhi Steamed Bun Shop" stores.

Starting this afternoon, Zong Jia and his hired people began distributing flyers throughout the streets and alleys.

This promotion is the same as last one: buy five, get one free.

This was decided upon by Jiang Xiaoli and Zong Jia after research. Originally, they planned to do something else, like a lottery.

However, considering the long queues outside the five stores that are currently open every day, they were worried that too many people would cause a stampede, so they decided to stick with the buy-one-get-one-free offer. Although the tactic was old-fashioned, it was effective.

The courtyard of Yihaodian was packed with people. This afternoon, Zongjia and Rangnan held a meeting for the new employees, and emphasized again how to deal with various possible emergencies.

She had just gotten out of the car at the door when she saw Zong Jiayu come out. "Hey, where are you going?"

Zong Jia shook his head. "There are too many people inside. I came out for some fresh air."

"Is it that exaggerated? Then I'll wait a bit before going in. What are the people being recruited like this time?" She pushed her cart and walked outside with him.

"Many of the new employees were introduced by the senior staff. The store manager and cashier were selected by Pumpkin and Zhong Yuan. Seven of the new store managers were promoted from the previous stores. I think they are quite good," Zong Jiayu briefly introduced to her.

Jiang Xiaoli stopped at the convenience store at the alley entrance, bought two bottles of soda, and gave one to Zong Jia. "Let's wish the baozi shop branch a successful opening tomorrow!"

Zong Jia touched the glass bottle in Xiao Xiao's hand with hers, saying, "It will definitely succeed."

He took a sip of soda. "Just got out of school, right? Actually, you didn't need to come today. Pumpkin and the others could handle it here."

"Oh dear, I still had to come and see you. Otherwise, it wouldn't be right if I didn't even show up after you've been so busy." She quickly waved her hand.

Zong Jiayu looked at him and smiled slightly, "The audit at the cannery is almost complete. I negotiated prices with the packaging and condiment factories today and they went quite well."

Jiang Xiaoli became interested, "I thought it would take another week. Are the accounts okay?"

“There are basically no problems. Uncle Wei has been very careful about accounting during his business operations. The books are very clean, with no outstanding debts. There are just some minor issues like workers’ advance wages,” Zong Jiayu reported to her.

She took a sip of her soda. "That's good. In that case, we can start registering the company. You said last time that you could expedite it, right? Let's do it. Let's set the registered capital at 200,000 for now. The spicy snacks will be settled on the 20th. I'll have my mom handle the capital verification procedures."

Zong Jia looked up and said, "How can I not keep any money on me? I'll give you 50,000 first, and you can pay me back later."

Jiang Xiaoli thought for a moment, realizing she would need to buy a few pieces of equipment after acquiring the factory, and without being too fussy, said, "Thanks, I'll pay you back at the end of the month."

"No rush, do you think you'll run away?" Zong Jiayu said with a smile.

The two chatted for a while longer, then saw a group of people emerge from the alley.

Zong Jia stood up and pushed her bike. "Let's go, they should have dispersed. Let's go back."

"Okay." Jiang Xiaoli went to the convenience store to return the soda bottle and followed Zong Jiayu.

As I reached the alley entrance, I heard a surprised shout, "Little Pear?"

It was Han Xue, Chen Jing's cousin. She looked much more confident than the last time they met.

Jiang Xiaoli asked with a smile, "Sister Han Xue, are you going to the new store?"

Han Xue smiled and nodded, "Yes, I got promoted! Now I'm going to be the manager of the new store!"

Congratulations! I hope you sell out quickly tomorrow!

"Haha, I appreciate your kind words!"

Upon entering the courtyard, Jiang Xiaoli smiled as soon as she saw the pumpkin.

He was slumped in the chair, tongue lolling out, looking like he'd been ravaged.

Hearing the voice, he rolled to his feet and said, "Little Pear, you're here."

He then looked at Zong Jiayu with a resentful expression, "Brother Zong, why didn't you say anything?"

Zong Jia was speechless. "Didn't you see whose bike I was pushing?"

Pumpkin looked at the milky-white women's bicycle, touched its nose shyly, and fell silent.

Zhong Yuan glanced at him and laughed, "Pumpkin has been through a lot these past two days. Now he can lie down and fall asleep anytime."

Jiang Xiaoli smiled and said, "Brother Gua, we're all family here, so there's no need to be so concerned about your image. Just be as casual and comfortable as you like."
